Safe Notes

I enjoyed this app for a while, but over the past year or so multiple of my notes have been replaced by a nearby note. Like, the title of the note stays the same, but the content is changed to the note above or below so I have duplicate of the adjacent note and none of the contents of the other. It's really frustrating and I've lost some important information this way.

Began using this app after comparing it with other similar apps. Really liked the fact it is: very secure, responsive, not invasive, easy to use with many options, and when I exit the app, it automatically shows my info has been saved. Also appreciate fact that intrusive ads are not constantly interrupting my thought process as I enter information for safekeeping. Thank you for creating such an excellent app.

Fantastic, simple, effective app. Encrypts text file. No text options but basic text and font type & size. Many options for hiding notes, etc. Both pass protect app and file. Does what it needs to do in very straight forward manner. Not a notepad replacement app (only 2 text options) but perfect for keeping plain text notes. If you want a secret note taking storage vault then this is the app for you. Fast and simple. Thoughtfully done!

👌 This is the best note-keeping app I found that even came CLOSE to the LG Quick Memo app, which apparantly is off limits to me since I switched to a Samsung Galaxy phone. I like the simplicity of it. The fact that it is free AND ad-free scores very high with me! Also, the ability to LOCK which notes I choose to was an absolute necessity when choosing a notes app. I chose a 4 digit pin for security, but there are other options. Customization tools are available, also. It's a keeper!

Disappointed! My files are being overwritten and replaced by other files. I thought this was due to a mistake on my part, but I have witnessed it happen multiple times. The file NAME remains unchanged and correct. The notes inside a file magically replace the notes in another file! Reliability is very important to my needs. Now, I don't trust the app! Hoping this gets fixed immediately, but am now looking for a better app.

Very much satisfied. Has all that are essential in a notebook. No ads. Nice font control. Bi-directional font support. Multiple tabs is a nice touch to avoid cluttering. Independent lock for each note. As for further enhancement suggestions: It would be nice to add dark theme but with limited color control. Addition of a simple checklist, no need for calender support.

This worked really well for about a year, and I used it everyday. Then suddenly, I opened the app to discover a totally empty home screen. All of my notes were gone, and the app was treating me like a new user. I was devastated to lose a lot of really important/personal info. Sadly, due to the unique nature of the app, there's no way to recover my account. I will never know why it crashed like that. Learn from my mistake and back up your notes frequently or get a different app!

Adless, easy to use, password's not a pattern or number(I just prefer actual words personally)- overall, I love it!! The only thing that could be expanded on is formatting(bold, italics, strikeout and so on) unless I missed where those were also maybe a dark format or different contrasting colorschemes could help in some cases do love the tab categories as well!(reduces lag by the amount of words if you spread things across them, which lag happens because of it in other things too)

Used this for a number of years now. I just wanted an ad free decent notes app with locking and encryption. Not tried any of the cloud sync options so can't rate that part but for me its been great - only slight annoyances are you have to remember to save the message - lost an important message once (in years) while task switching with heavy memory usage apps ..also the reminders to donate are too frequent but a far more worthy app to donate to at the time of writing than most.

I wanted a simple note app and this does the job. Others were too complicated. Yiu can lock your note on move it off your phone onto its own URL for security. The only thing I don't love is that if you start a new note or edit a note and close it without saving (at least if you do that quickly), it doesn't save.

I had previously rated this 5 stars but have reduced it to 3 stars because of a serious issue with the app. Twice now I have edited and saved one of my local notes only to find that the edited text was saved over one of my other notes, destroying that other note and leaving the note I was trying to edit unchanged. It has only happened twice after hundreds of edits, but there's no way to restore the destroyed note so it's quite a bad error.

ONE OF THE BEST YOU'LL EVER USE EVER! Very easy to use and understand. I love the password protection as I use it to store my business information. I feel confident that my information is secure with the pin system. You can also lock individual notes with a password. The coolest part is you can make your note a url which is a HUGE time savor for me! Love this app. One of the best by far. I only wish there was an autosort option. That would make this the perfect must have app.

Pushed the create a new note button. Jotted some recipe down.. Hit the save button. Went to reopen the note and couldn't find it.. Came to discover the app saved the new recipe over top of one of my old notes. Only had 2 notes at the time so it wasn't difficult to figure out what happened. Disheartened to lose that old note to the unforseen malfunction.

This is my favorite app to use when I need to take notes. It's perfect for every circumstance where you might need to quickly make a note of something before you forget. It's easy and it's super convenient - it has a security feature allowing you to lock any individual note that you choose too lock with either a pin or a password and it even allows you to lock the entire app itself for an additional level of privacy.

Have used it for almost a year. Excellent app. Simple, safe and always in use, more than any other app. I'd highly recommend it to anyone, novices to IT pros. Noticed some have lost their notes. Could be some conflict with other apps or phone settings. It's never happened to me, but I do share/save my notes (periodically) via my email-to-PC just in case.

I think this app has excluded some of the features that would otherwise be there for the sake of data security and privacy, but there are safer alternatives if you look to getting the similar/same thing done. Otherwise, it's a simple app that allows for most of the versatility you would have on a traditional notepad, except, of course, you have to type, and the font choices are limited. Comes with different color pads for sorting and locks for notes, and a master lock for the whole app. Good!

I found that this app was a very useful one. However, there are no options for typing headings in bold type as well as bulleted formatting. It does what it is supposed to otherwise. It encrypts your notes and locks them. The password must be memorized though, since it is not saved in the app. I really look forward for these two options to be included by the developers. All in all, it's a nice app. Thank you to the developers for creating such a useful app.

Despite trying other apps from time to time I always seem to end up back at Safe Notes. It does what it does with no fuss or gimmicks. It's so easy to get notes saved and with the addition of encryption and the ability to share safely online nothing compares to this. It has minimal customization options which is great because you won't spend half an hour trying to set up the app itself. Simple, effective and safe which is what is promised and delivered.

Finally! This was Note app #4 I tried. Others were too bright, not easy to use, had too many ads, didn't sync/save to other apps, had too many options I didn't need, or were too basic. This is none of those things. Easy to use. I love all the paper color options. I didn't notice any ads but I didnt expect to as it says "Ad-free". I also like that my Samsung tablet's keyboard handwrite function works just fine with the app.

It's better than notepad AND it's easily encrypted and locked by password, or even a different password for each document. It can change fonts and sizes, which is more than notepad, even if you don't bother with the encryption. Is there room for improvement? Not much. It's a lightweight writer with encryption capabilities-- and it does all of that smoothly with no ads, so donate. I give it 5 out of 5. Well done!

Secure, easy to use once you get the hang of it. DON'T FORGET YOUR PASSWORD! Installed on Android 9, I've had no problems. Optional locking of individual notes in addition to the app lock is simple and elegant. Thanks to the devs for an easy to understand, straightforward way to keep things private. Color coding things like personal notes, passwords, account information, etc. makes this a must-have app in my view. Does exactly what it says. No more, no less.

I really, really like this app! It works great and I haven't had a problem up until now. However it's a pretty nasty problem. I had 2 files, file 1 and file 2. File 1 duplicated itself over file 2, replacing all the information and leaving file 2 a copy. I lost all the original information on file 2. Thankfully, there wasn't anything horrendously crucial, but it was important. I understand that it can't be retrieved, but I do think this is a bug that should be fixed.

Very pleased with the app. Notes are easy to enter. The app is secured with a PIN that you select. Individual notes can be locked with a password you select. Each password can be different for each note. The app PIN and Passwords are not recoverable. I suggest using a Password Manager app. This way you only need to remember one password for the Password Manager. Colors may be chosen for each note. Very well done. I suggest voice input be add for ease and convenience.

I really like using this app and I like the layout. The problem is if you forget to tap save for the first time saving it and you close the app, it doesn't save the note, which has been frustrating when you just spent awhile typing something important and you forget to save it and then find that it's gone. It needs to save automatically in real time from the very start of creating the note. Thanks! Please fix this issue!

A lovely notepad which is simple and easy to use, while still allowing changes like note colour, font and font size. Looks nice, does exactly what I need and doesn't have any annoying faff, ads or in app purchases like most. I tried several before this one and this is a keeper. Doesn't run on sd card but is small enough that's not an issue. Maybe an alternative to a list of notes could be post-it type icons? Thank you!

Great app! It has almost everything I wanted for a simple secure notes app. I have a few suggestions for improvements: (1) Option for online-only notes (not stored locally). (2) Option to store and retrieve your list of notes online. Obviously, this list can only include notes that are stored online as well. (3) Widget pointing to one of your notes (still need password to open). The first 2 options above are to allow secret notes to be completely invisible to intruders, even if they gain accessed to your phone and force you to provide passwords for anything they see.

I've tried several notepads and I like this one the best. It does everything I wanted a notepad to do and still be easy to use. I really like the security capabilities of this app. You can password protect each note individually if desired. You can hide a note if desired. And finally you can require a PIN to open the app if desired. You get all these features with no bothersome ads! It is totally ad-free. This is why I took the time to write a review--in "payment" for this great, free app.

It does what it says. Good app with a few deficiencies. URL/Password field vanishes while minimising the app (I copy the passwords from a vault), there's no option to store a common lead URL (my name) with the automatic numbering (from the note title) of new notes, no option to automatically set a common password for new notes, impossible to know the number of notes I have on the server, not open source. Otherwise, everything is fine.

True to its disclaimer, it is indeed ads free! Easy to use, no frills! Just open and type away! However, it would be lovely if you could add a feature of creating notebooks/folders to group similar notes together. Also, the ability to edit font type and size, and underline, italicize, and make the text bold. Highlighting text and editing font colors will be aa huge help too!
