At Safe & the City we think not. Safe & the City, or as our fans call us SatC (Sat-See), is the only street-smart app to navigate you based on crime, lighting and crowdsourced experiences of street harassment to make informed decisions about your safety while planning & taking a walk.
Rest-assured if you are a newcomer, never been to an area before, or feeling a bit nervous, you have Safe & the City there to help by:

Quickly access 999 Emergency Services if you are in danger or any of our 75 Safe Site locations able to help you on your way.

Rate your walk based on how safe it felt. This is helping us personalise routes in future for you.

To date, we have received over 5,000 pledges from our male and female users by using Safe & the CIty we can inform, empower & transform communities to be safer, more inclusive places to walk, work, study, shop & live.

I love the idea behind this map! It was strange for me to have to look for the place where I was, maybe it would be nice to open the map and automatically be at the centre of the screen and then for the map to follow me as I move, keeping me at the centre and not needing to move the map touching it. Or maybe it would be nice to get to choose which way is better for oneself.
The app scores highly for its ease of use and the vast number of cities it covers! And the reporting features is just awesome. Highly Recommended!
While I love the idea of this app - because it isn't available in Worthing, I can't use any function of the app. Not even reporting incidents that have taken place elsewhere to raise awareness. I will of course change this review when (and if) this app launches in my area

This app is fantastic. Being able to find the safest route and knowing which areas we should avoid is extremely valuable.

Having used the 'non registered' authentication for the application, no routes are given when planning a journey.

Finally an app for the people, putting their safety and well being first above all else. Great features and the app lets you report incidents in real time. Goodbye to those late night sketchy walks across parks, hello to getting to my destination safely and on time. Can't wait for future updates and additions.
