Our app uses a channel-restriction system to view YouTube (instead of an algorithm that can be easily hacked like YouTube Kids).
Safe Vision only offers verified channels like National Geographic Kids and Disney. Here’s an example: If someone who isn’t Nat Geo Kids labels a video “National Geographic Kids Amazing Video” that video will be on YouTube, sure, but it will not be on the Nat Geo Kids channel because only Nat Geo Kids can publish content to their own channel. Safe Vision restricts your kids to verified YouTube channels, which makes it impossible for them to view fake and potentially harmful content.

does what its supposed to do. I love how I don't have to worry about any ads, I can filter, add and remove unwanted videos. Just wish the selection icons for home, favorite, etc., we're larger. It would make it easier for little fingers and they would get less frustrated (myself as well).
The app looks promising, I can allow my kids (who loves music) to watch videos that are safe for kids but are blocked on other kids apps. But this app still need to get better. Interface is not so much child friendly, my kid gets frustrated how he cannot change easily from one video to another and just go back to YTKids. It should have the choice to set auto play and all unblocked videos should show on related videos and not only the ones from same channel. I hope my review dont disappear now.
Videos won't play on ipad. Using Norton Family as well. It uses a VPN for safe search. Are there any issues of compatibility between the two. My only options appears to be to disable the NF VPN (not ideal), to get the videos to play.
Great but ends up being useless. It does what it says; allows parents to choose exact YouTube content for kids devices, by age range and by individual videos, and set time limits. The problem is that it doesn't make you confirm your email address when signing up, so my child simply deletes and reinstalls the app, and then can sign in with any new made-up email address, even if it's not real. Then he has access to all of YouTube. I wrote the developer, but he won't require email confirmation.
Have been incredibly pleased with the app until today. Suddenly it won't even open and keeps telling me the app has stopped working. I've cleared the cache erased all data and even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing will get it to work.
I really recommend this app. The subscription charge is so small it's well worth it for peace of mind. I love the level of control you get and you can unlock different content for different children. It's perfect for those who are too old for YouTube kids but too young for regular YouTube. You can unlock ANY channels or individual videos that you want, without giving your kids total freedom on YouTube. That makes it way better than YouTube kids. I love it!
I use Safe Vision on my android phone and my kids 6 kindle devices. It's easy to use and we love that I can lookup whatever their interested in without worrying about ads may pop up or what other videos might automatically play next! We also paid for the unlimited videos/channels... totally worth what we paid!
My kids love that they can look up videos for school. I love that its safe. The only thing that would make this app perfect is if you could create playlists. It would make it so much easier for schooling.
Love the app! But, last night I noticed that in parent mode I search for something and 1 or 2 things come up or it says nothing found for EVERY SEARCH! It's a bit annoying. If you could find a way to fix this I would love it!
So Happy With This! As a parent I can add a entire channel, or one video. Every other thing wants to choose what's ok for my kids, this gives me the choice! (Or doesn't give me options to add content that's fine) Thank you so much for creating this! Worth every penny! Screen timeout is not deactivated while app is open. We already bought a full year premium subscription and that is so annoying. The screen on our (Galaxy A21s) closes while videos are playing!! Please fix that.
So far this is the best app I have found to regulate my children's YouTube watching. I have 4 kids all with different needs and the ability to approve individual videos or whole channels and set time limits per child is extremely valuable.
This app is the, by far, best app that a parent can ask for! In todays society, children are being seem to be growing up faster than need be. Our family loves this app due to the parents being able to pick the channels! No other app allows that and plus, there are no ads. Thank you!
My Grandson LOVES YouTube, I DON'T love that even with filters he can access inappropriate content. He's not into YouTube Kids. Since finding this app we're all happy, he's content with having his favourite channels and doesn't mind having to ask for extra channels to be added. I only wish I could get it on PlayStation and X Box.
Very nice app just i wanted some more free channels and atleast two child profiles ,otherelse it is the best app to keep yourself or your Child away from the destroying youtube just one thing is that you shold provide speed option also for videos
Safe vision is the best kids video app I have ever used! This helps me to know what my children are watching and how much time they are spending watching videos.
Great app, using it 2 years ago. Needs improvement concerning full screen and video controls.
This app was just what I was looking for. It allowed me to select channels and specific videos that my child could use. This allowed me to filter out everything else that I didn’t want them to have access to. I was very glad to have found this app and it worked. The developer has also been very helpful. He continues to make improvements to the app. If you’re looking for an app that will help you control what videos your children have access to this is a great solution!

One of the best app for kids. In parent mode it gives full control on all youtube content, you can add any YouTube channel you think is safe and good for your kid. I highly recommend this app to all parents who want to have a control over kids screen time.

Just what I needed to keep an eye my kids Youtube consumption without physically standing over their shoulder. It works on the Kindle Fire with Freetime. You can set a daily time limit and opt in to only specific channels.
I appreciate the Safe Vision app very much. I find it to be very user friendly and effective. I would recommend it to any parent who wants to keep their children's YouTube experience safe and appropriate for their respective ages.
Concept is good but videos not appear in homescreen and there is no option to change quality and playback speed and no captions option.I am uninstalling it.
I was hoping to only block what I don't want my son to watch. I can only choose 5 channels and then have to pay for him to watch additional ones. There is only one channel I wanted blocked.
I love the peace of mind this app gives me. I can let my kids surf YouTube and not worry about what they might see. No ads or unwanted videos! This is well worth the money.

I absolutely love this app for my child! I have tried several kid friendly options including kids YouTube and was horrified by the trending videos. I love that the only videos and channels my child can see are the ones I add and approve and there are no commercials. As a mom, this is the best app ever! You also have the option to set timers so your kiddo does not spend too much time watching videos.
