App doesn't work properly. Supposed to track your driving behavior, but it throws in harsh braking and acceleration while you're not moving or using cruise control. Junk. If my premium doesn't go down as much as it could because of this we'll find another insurance carrier! Wasn't a fan of being forced to SafeCo in the first place.

This app sucks! It doesn't account for braking in real life. I avoided TWO serious accidents (one could've been fatal) by quick braking, & got dinged for it, & still haven't recovered. It appears this app would rather have you run a red light rather than stop for it. If you have to stop quickly for a light, you'll be dinged. Just had a perfect drive & it STILL didn't like it. Really? Can't use voice app maps if driving, not touching the phone, it hates that too. All this to save $15/mo? Ugh.

For most people it's acceleration and braking. A simple little phone app or a GPS doesn't compare to the use of our senses on adaptation and critically think on reflexes. This can potentially be dangerous because it's either you go past the yellow light or you stop at the yellow light. There is no in between or else a ding. A person can run a red light and gets ticketed because there's no stopping point. We have to go with the flow especially in Houston because crazy people.

I've used Safeco's Right Track in the past, and I truly appreciate what it taught me. I learned that I saved quite a bit of gas, which is something I want to do again during the times we are in. Also, I felt so much relief knowing that I was not going to be pulled over due to how I was driving. I just really appreciate how much of a better driver I am these days and I look forward to practicing again! My first experience I did 'perfect' driving and got 30% off my bill! Thanks Safeco!!

You can drive like you've got open glassware sitting next to you, and it will still record "events". Additionally, you won't know until you've accepted the trip. Even with an overall great/good score...our savings hasn't moved more than a dollar up or down. The app and the amount were saving per year....wasn't even worth the time to take to download the app.

Gives you a low score when you have to stop at signs/signals and when you accelerate after those stops. Gives great score when on straight away no stops or acceleration. Bad scores in stop and go traffic no matter when.

So far, so good. It so simple and you can see what you are projected to save. It makes me more conscious of taking off faster than needed and makes me take my time approaching red lights or other reasons to stop. 👍

The app and the discounts are amazing! However, I am still human. I am still lazy. Having to create a new discipline, even though this one means I save money, is a bit of a hassel.

This app is a joke! Dinged me for braking at a stoplight and stop sign also when I tried to save that I was a passenger and all the destination were the same trip that I saved as being a passenger, one of the same trips..it saved that I was the driver. I called customer service and they said they couldn't change it even though the trip before and after was the same trip and the customer service agreed that they could see that it was but they still said they could not update it. Inaccurate app!

So far so good - I have only had it a week. I do find one thing annoying. It thinks my braking is good but could improve. It suggests not following too closely. LOL! I live in a small, rural area. I'm not following anyone - but it is necessary to brake for dogs, cats, goats, chickens and sometimes even COWS that wander into the road. I have worked as a total loss adjuster and handled fatalities. I KNOW I'm a good driver. Working a fatality claim changes you forever!

App is a typical stab at American consumers. Promises of savings, but instead your privacy is invaded and the app does not work in the first place. I am constantly struck negatively by "braking events" that do not actually happen, and am also punished for having to react abruptly to drivers around me. The app is also not easy to use, simply getting it to close is difficult for whatever reason.

SAFECO if you're reading-I have screanshots to validate!!!! App stopped calc. a month in. I called several times & was assured it's tracking. There's NO way the final score's accurate when it didn't track over 50 trips. I did SO well then it stopped at a certain $ amt & wouldn't go past. You're at their mercy. Good luck getting someone to help. NOT, sympathetic-Resolved? NO! Not in 5 phone calls. Yes, got a slight discount-- NOT what they advertised and I EARNED. They won't return calls/emails

I downloaded the app and it will not allow me to use the app because it is not compatible with my phone. Requirements for the app are android 7 or higher and I have an android 11. Garbage app.

A. G. u. May 10, 2022

Worked for 35 days. No longer tracking. Called 3 times . 2x Info given was incorrect. Last agt was trying / put on hold/ call disconnected.no attempt made to call customer back.

Dav. B. Mar 28, 2022

If someone cuts you off or if you come to a yellow light and have to brake harder it docks you for that. Then the night time driving past midnight? God forbid you work graveyards or get off work late. Also I've been docked for acceleration many times when I'm not, they need to adjust that to be reasonable. The minimum discount is cool. But overall this app is absolute trash.

J. F. Apr 6, 2022

You're essentially providing the company with data and not getting compensated for it. My results stated "Your final discount is the same as the initial enrollment discount that was applied to your policy at the start of the program. Because of this, you will not see a change in your premium." Then what even was the point?! I suggest you safeguard your information rather than giving it away.

Cor. P. Apr 10, 2022

Waste of time since it does not take into account real world conditions such as braking for animals or people crossing roads or cars suddenly cutting in front you. Lost trips periodically as well. Braking portion is baloney based on decades of driving w/o problems.

Lin. B. Apr 27, 2022

I love this app! Besides keeping me mindful of my driving, it's a great reminder of where I went, plus telling me how far places are from my house.

Jam. R. Jan 12, 2022

Maybe avoid if you drive a manual. The app apparently cannot tell the difference between shifting gears in a manual transmission and jabbing on the brakes. The 'hard braking' detection is way too sensitive. Also, the submit support feature is broken.

Nic. P. Jan 16, 2022

I've had the app almost 80 days. The last 20 days apparently I forgot how to drive and am randomly slamming on brakes on trips where there is not even other traffic or any reason for me to use my brakes when I am. There was one day I had 4 ok trips with multiple hard brakes so I started to literally just life my foot off the gas and coast to a stop and am still having hard brakes. I read the reviews before doing this app and it seems to be the trend towards to end of tracking.

Dan. F. Feb 2, 2022

Very sensitive on the braking. Keep that in mind if you have brake assist in your vehicle. I work in Baltimore and people pull or cut me off everyday. This app doesn't help and the app slows down my phone like it's on a 3G network.

Bri. H. May 2, 2022

Great experience. We tend not to think about our driving after the years and this helped me gain my driving experience again.

Mit. F. Jan 30, 2022

Not worth the few dollas you save on car insurance. You will have to change your cellphone plan(because your location needsto be on all the time), you are getting tracked, you have to record every time you go somewhere. Not worth it to me.

Bra. N. Mar 27, 2022

It dings me when someone calls me rather I answer it on my cars hands-free or ignore the call, the app still shows it as a phone distraction. There's no way to stop people from calling me everytime I get in to drive its ridiculous, it even pinged me when I was parked idle in my driveway showing distraction when I was in park talking on the phone.

Dav. W. Jan 22, 2022

The app does not recognize unique driving situations. For example, I don't run red lights. So I might stop more quickly than "allowed" so I get a demerit. And then the average amount saved decreases and it takes a long time to recover. However, it did pick up my wife's driving habits correctly. And then the savings are an average even though I drive 3 to 4 times more miles and have a better record.

Kay. T. May 2, 2022

Not the best. The technology on this is not there yet. I have several trips where I was not the driver that I did not have the chance to connect in the app. I have the reminder set, but have yet to receive it. I'm not happy about that.

Being a passenger is a pain when this is on your phone. Then, when have your phone on save battery it doesn't work. It's telling me it's ready to record my trip when I'm home. The amount I'm suppose to be able to save is so variable. Finally, the app doesn't scroll down so I can see my unconfirmed trips. It needs to have easy clear buttons to hit indicating driver/passenger for each drive. When I pressed confirmed all, I saw all these drives I didn't do. That was the most annoying part.

Dav. D. Jan 5, 2021

I would give this less stars if I could. It is an absolute scam and you may want to thank twice before doing it. I would say about the first two months we're fine. I thought it was pretty accurate in tracking the trips. Every time we would drive the discount would fluctuate a couple dollars up or down depending on the trip. But then going into this last month the discount amount dropped over $20 and no matter how good we drove from there it never went back up. This was an absolute waste of time.

Ren. C. Aug 31, 2020

Easy to use. Shows location of concern to help improve (if you want to). And, best of all, it's a step towards saving money. Only down is that the summary page often freezes and won't update on my husband's Samsung S9. The data records fine, but the summary won't update to reflect it. An uninstall and reinstall gets it going again for a bit but is a hassle and needs to be done about once every week and a half.

A. G. u. May 15, 2019

Persistent notifications that can't be dismissed are annoying to begin with, but there's absolutely no reason for the "waiting to record your next trip" notification to exist at all. If your app isn't actually doing anything, you don't have to tell me... especially at 6 am when I'm laying in bed. Make notifications configurable.
