Safejumper app is probably best app which let me connect to vpn with OpenVPN protocol. I am saying this because i already have HMA subscription as well and HMA is slow like hell. But Safejumper and proxy.sh service is extremely fast.
I have 2 vpn subscription and 2nd vpn is configured on top of 1st one. but for my android device i use proxy.sh service.
Don't give up even when you loose few rounds. because its all part of the game.

Difficult to connect to servers - need to hunt and peck to find one that works. Does not disable network when VPN exits unexpectedly. And it does regularly. What's the point in using this if your traffic isn't always invisible to your ISP?
Said it had connected *sometimes* but simple ip lookup showed no VPN! Do not trust this app with your security. You need to use the OpenVPN settings.
I LOVE that there's a selection of multiple ports to use for each VPN server. This is very unique, as most other providers only allow one port. Also comes in handy when certain WiFi providers block specific ports.
It's a good VPN, but I hope it has less bug and could works better in China
Even with the boost plan and a nearby server connection was still very slow!
