Great concept, terrible delivery. Notifications only worked for one of my kids routes, then no notifications at all. Now when I open the app, it freezes on a white screen and causes my entire phone to freeze to the point I can't even power my phone off to restart it. Uninstalling as soon as I'm finished typing this review. Really, it has the potential to be great, but the attention is just not there by the developers.

I've been using this app for just over 5 months. There are way too many bugs with this app. Issues with the bus suddenly popping up on the screen just a block or 2 from the bus stop or not at all. Several times it'll pop up on the screen at the bus stop location several minutes after it had already picked up my children and was long gone from where it says it is currently. The "refresh" rate is too slow and doesn't keep up with the bus at all. It will show the bus is still several streets away from our stop all the while the bus is already at our stop. I've reported these glitches to the app directly many times yet nothing is ever done about it. It is a very unreliable and unpredictable app. There is no "real-time" tracking. The pick-up times listed are even terrible. Kids are expected to be out at their stops 10 minutes before the expected pick-up , but there have been many times the bus has arrived 20 minutes prior to scheduled pick-up. Whomever their app developer is, needs to be fired - they really don't know what they are doing. The app our school used last year called "Bus Tracker" was much more efficient and refreshed in real time.

Horrible app. Our school district has forced us to use and and it is the most unfriendly user app I've ever used. It keeps erasing my user data and I have to re-add my kids each time. When viewing the kids bus, you see the bus routes multiple times. Some of the listed stops are duplicates,some list the pick up and drop off times. It is very confusing and convoluted to use. It is also not accurate at all at where the bus is. It showed the bus miles away from where it was listed on the app when the bus was actually at my home. The I got a notification around 5 minutes later that the bus was getting ready to approach my location. The user interface is primitive and just plain ugly. I wish the school district never went to the app. They even make it difficult to contact customer support. You can send an email in the app but when you go to type in your message you can't see what your're writing because the keyboard covers up the comment section. What a frustrating joke. Completely useless app.

This app does not send notifications even after resetting the notification settings. The tracking will randomly stop even if you refresh. The estimated arrival time is never accurate. The school district really need to invest in making this system more comprehensive or adopt a better one. I am more frustrated with this system then what it's worth. Since the year started, I have never really been able to rely on this system

504 Gateway timeout is what you will see more often than actual bus info. They got at least one big contract and failed to scale up theirs servers, it seems. If you miss the bus and try to track it to the next stop using the app, you're out of luck. It only shows the bus' location prior to your stop. After that, all you get is a map of your stop. The only reason it gets 3 stars instead of 2 is that the school had one pick up time on their site, app had another. App was right.

Updated review now that I've been able to use it for a few weeks. It's horrible. I never know how accurate it is because it takes up to 10 minutes to refresh at times. It has the map default to a view so zoomed out that the bus looks like it's far away from where it actually is. So you zoom in and two seconds later it zooms back out without refreshing the bus's location. And now I can't even log in because the app freezes every time I try to. Why do I have to log in every time I open the app now

If I could give this negative stars I would! It was bad enough that the app stopped giving me notifications after a couple days, then the bus stopped moving on the map. It updated yesterday and now it just glitches a white screen. Not only is it just a glitchy screen, but it randomly opens all on it's own and freezes my phone. The kicker, I have sent several messages to them with no response. Terrible app, had to uninstall and my phone magically stopped freezing...smh

Inconsistent at best. It's supposed to send a text before each stop but it only send the text sometimes. This would be a good app if it worked the same way every day. Also the fact that I have to log in every time I open the app is annoying. It's my app on my phone, not a shared devise, why can't it just open easily like other apps!

It's amazing that a horrible app could be made even worse with the latest update. Now it doesn't even load, but that's not a big loss since the text notification never worked, the bus is never accurately tracked and it won't track on Mondays at all. Fellow parents, don't bother downloading this app.

It works good in the mornings. The updates are a few minutes late but it's ok. When the bus it's at our stop the App shows it's 1 stop behind. In the afternoon sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. It does not work on Thursdays early dismissal or half days so far.

Wow worst app ever i have used. - No estimated time of arrival. We don't know when bus is arriving. - Not accurate bus location. Checked several times, but found app showed wrong location of bus on the map. Like bus was moving on the high way, but app was showing bus was out of high way. - Not real time bus location. Never showing real time tracking. Always 2-3 mins delayed. Even worse, this app stopped working a few days ago. Uninstalled and reinstalled it, but still not working.

This app is terrible. It never works correctly, and on the rare occasion that it does it takes ~5 minutes to load, it eats through data quicker than any of my larger apps, because it /will not work on wifi/ I'm talking, 30 to 40 minutes of loading in wifi, once it wouldnt refresh or load for two days, this app is horrible, and the bane of my existence,

Crashes w/white flashing screen. Might be beneficial if it was a strobe light app. I'm surprised no one has had a seizure with that glitch. No notifications. Freezes my phone. Uninstalled. Previous review: it logs me out after every bus (AM & PM). So, basically I have to log in every time I use it. It's obnoxious. Can you add fingerprint login if it is a safety lockout?

I am deeply dissatisfied with this app. I have reported many time that it doesn't work and get emails saying it's being worked on. It still doesn't work months later. I see no use in having it waste space on my phone. I have also emailed them exactly what I've said here. My child's bus has been seen as sitting at the same stop for over a month now. and before that it stopped working multiple times. Customer support sends out a polite scripted message and says they are working on it. 0 stars.

This app is the worst! It rarely worked when needed last and this year is not looking any better since I've deleted and reinstalled multiple times and still can't get it right. When it did work, the bus already picked my kid up and was half a mile away before it showed the bus at our pick up site, so severe delay.

Seems to be abandonware. Was working, and worked fairly well (with some minor quibbles) but it seems whatever hosting the service used is now gone. Not just the phone app, either. Would often use my PC to run the app (the phone app is just a wrapper for the web source) and the same non-content page loads. My concern is I hope the school department didn't sink a lot of money into this service.

Still not working properly for android's. I get no notifications as I have them set up and also after the recent 10-1 update have to long in everytime. This is disappointing. Hopefully it's fixed properly soon because I love the idea of actually having a heads up to when my kids bus will arrive. Its 20mins early or 10mins late. Make a huge difference in the morning.

Broken beyond belief with the most recent update. Not only does it not work but it screws up my phone when I try to open it, spamming an empty white screen pop up at me and bogging the entire system to a snail's pace. It took multiple attempts to close it and get my phone working again. Utterly abysmal. Learn to test your updates before doing a public release, seriously, and also learn to pull down a broken update!

Worked great when I first downloaded it. Not sure what happened but now I get absolutely nothing. My stops were wiped out. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't help. Noticed there hasn't been an update to the app since April 2018....might want to work on that SafeStop.

It worked for a few weeks. Yesterday and today it flashed white and froze my phone. I've had to restart my phone each time to stop the screen from flashing. I've cleared the cash, uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with the same results. I liked the app when it worked.

Useless! I followed the directions to a T from our school to activate this app but selecting our school isn't even an option?? I called the help line the app suggested but no one answers and they just send it to a mailbox. The automated message asks that you report your issue through the settings but you cant even get to a screen to report it. You just go around in circles of nothing. It's so horrible you just have to laugh at it.

It is hard to use this app as a true directive as to where the bus actually is. The timing shown can be spot on or completely off it is either one or the other never consistent. The location is only a general idea that the bus is on the move not a true idea of how close it is.

Aug 2019 update: the app has gotten even worse this year. New "geofencing" feature alerts 15 minutes AFTER the bus is gone, there's no ETA, and live mapping is badly delayed. - WCS parent/ Expected arrival times aren't close and the app can't even tell that the bus has already come and gone. School district tells me the app's "representative" has made changes but from what i can see it's just gotten worse. The only saving grace is that the bus' position on the GPS-based map is USUALLY accurate.

Never was too happy with it. Sometimes it would do the job and sometimes it wouldn't. Granted sometimes it was the school's end as well, like forgeting to assign the bus to the app... But I still wish the school would switch over to another better working up. Had trouble with it on my old phone. Now it wont work on my new phone at all... wont even open.

This should be a zero star review. The app worked ok for about two weeks. It's not their fault that the district couldn't get the right bus tracking the correct route. But the horrible map, with the little bus offset from the actual gps coordinates is. Then they removed sms alerts, in favor of push alerts. Except the push alerts never came. They still removed sms, so all that was left was email, and we all know how real time that is. Then the early October update hit. Yikes, freezes my phone!

This app is the worst. I was really excited about tracking my daughters bus but my excitement was quickly squashed. This app worked for one day 9/23/19. I updated, reinstalled and contact the school and customer service. You get an automated response every time. Now the app work even load. I uninstalled this app today. It should be removed from the app store, it's a waste of space. DON'T DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!!!

I downloaded this app last year and not once did it work. I finally Deleted it today. The pick up and drop off times were always wrong by 15 minutes, give or take. The bus never moved on the map. Sometimes the bus was never on the map at all. I sent plenty of red flag messages but obviouly it was never fixed. knox county Safe Stop app sucks. Useless.

It will not even open now. Very unreliable, some days it opens, some days it doesn't. On days it works, it's not too far off. But the more than 50% unreliability makes it hard to use. Won't track for 2hr delay snow days or days they get out early. Aren't these the days when we would need it most???? Yes!!! Not working at all today. I wish our school still had a deal with Here Comes The Bus. That's a much better app. This one is terrible. Keep hoping they'll fix it, but I'm sure they won't.

Company sells their services to school systems but doesn't provide enough support to make sure the system uses the services correctly. System advertises the app but the app doesn't solve the problem. bus routes eta never accurate, bus substitutes never listed. i end up waiting 25 minutes for a bus to arrive because i can't trust the app information.

You CANNOT rely on this app. Sometimes it works perfectly and sometimes it doesn't work at all. The responses you get from the company when you contact them through the app are a joke. Sometimes they own up to the issues and sometimes they don't. You can check this daily to see if it's working properly, but it's mostly a waste of space on my phone. Sometimes it works in the morning but not the afternoon or vice versa, but you never know so you should really not rely on it.
