SafeTrek - Hold Until Safe℠

SafeTrek enables you to be proactive about your safety by bridging the gap between doing nothing and calling 911 in a potentially unsafe situation. By holding down the SafeTrek safe button, a user is able to passively connect to police. If nothing unexpected happens, a user simply inputs their unique 4-digit pin to cancel an alert from being sent (to police). If a situation takes a turn for the worse, a user simply releases the safe button without typing in their pin number and is connected to police.
In order to cover the cost of our 24/7 call centers, SafeTrek charges a small monthly subscription of $2.99. To help make sure SafeTrek is right for you, all subscriptions have a 7 day free trial period. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel your account at least 24 hours before the end of the current subscription month. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.

Hasn't been updated in over a year. Very disappointed with the Android version compared to the iOS version. May have to look for an alternative. They definitely seem to have abandoned the Android version and just leave it up to check a box which is a shame because I love the company. Would be 5 stars if the experience and features matched the iOS version.

This app is an absolutely incredible tool for all humans to have. There are so many terrible things that could occur at any time, & alerting the authorities is at the tip of your finger. Sometimes situations require silence & thats why I like it so much, you can alert the authorities without making a sound.. This app is essential. It would definitely be nice if the android app was on par with the ios.. im hoping there are some changes ahead!

I haven't had to use this in case of an emergency yet, but I feel secure having it on my phone. I do wish, as many other Android users, I had the same features as iOS users. Another suggestion.. my Galaxy has an "SOS" feature which will activate the cameras and video. Perhaps this could do so as well, in the event that police are dispatched.

THANK YOU! It's a great idea for it's intended purpose (solo walking, parking, etc) AND for ANY possible danger! I used it when I thought I was having a reaction to my new RX. Fortunately I didn't need help but if I passed out or seized and couldn't call 911.. help would have been on the way! Imagine the possibilities! Chest pains? Hold the button til they pass. Too dizzy? Hold the button in case you pass out. Choking/short breath can't talk? Button! So great on so many levels!! THANK YOU!! ❤❤❤❤

This app is great. Tonight I had an experience of panic when someone was following me when I was driving. I swiped my phone and hit the button not meaning to. I got a call and I swiped ignore thinking it was someone else. I didnt want to be distracted. Turns out I activated the button and cops showed up. Thanks for the help. I at least got to report the vehicle. They made sure I was safe. Thanks Karen.

I mean the purpose of this app is great but that's the only reason I gave it 2 stars. I showed the app to my friend and her ios app features so much more than the android version. She can make a timeline about where she will be and put in addresses and notes and add friends and emergency contacts. Pretty much all the Android version has is the button. Disappointing. I went into the play store to make sure I had the right app because hers was so different. Android people's lives matter too. 😫

So, it definitely works. I'm at work with my phone in my back pocket and my phone decided to unlock itself. The noonlight app got tapped and opened. I'm suddenly being bombarded with texts and calls from an unknown number while I'm trying to help a customer. I was quickly able to inform the person calling that I'm ok and the app just opened by itself. Thankfully they had time to cancel the call to the cops, I'd hate to explain that to my boss. So yea, it definitely works.

I have no options available to use this app. All I can do is set a pin and hold the button. Friends can pair theirs with Tinder or set up a Safety Network, but I don't have those options on my Galaxy Note 9. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail. Is this a shortcoming for Android devices? We get less protection than Apple users? What's up with this?

As a Deputy Sheriff I could not agree with something like this more. It's an extremely smart and easy way to contact emergency services if you can't call. I do think in a medical situation it will be a slower response time (typically law enforcement shows up to the unknowns first), but if it's the only thing you're able to do than something is WAY better than nothing. Also, if you do happen to need emergency services, even deactivated phones can call 911 👍🏻

I have used this app three times already. What I would like to see is an option to receive text messages instead of phone calls during an emergency. I work at a hotel and someone broke into a room. I was outside the room when I pushed the Noonlight button. Then it shows on my screen that they are about to call me. So I had to quickly get away from the door so they wouldn't hear my phone. I don't know why but I expected more settings. This app is awesome just thought it would be more detailed.

I downloaded this as a "just in case." I work 2nd shift and i am going home around midnight. I am a big dude and can be rather intimidating, but there are crazies out there willing to do just about anything. I recently had to put my car in the shop and it has been there for about a month, but this isn't a review for a stupid dealership repair shop. I have had to walk home (only about 3 miles) and I have used this app multiple times, luckily I have been safe and didn't need to ACTUALLY use it.

This app is truly as amazing as advertised. I accidentally dropped my phone which opened the app and set off the alarm. Noonlight was quick to respond and so kind when I explained what happened. The very nice thing is they texted to make sure I was informed every step of the way and it was like talking with a good friend. Highly recommended this app!!

Barely Functions The button works, I think? But that's really all it is. I can't connect it to my Tinder, I can't connect it to my friends, might as well just call 911. It literally hasn't been updated since February of 2020 and has no real function. You're better off with a different safety app. Edit: Checked back again February 2022 still nothing. No updates in 2 years they must be making lots of money off Apple users.

I genuinely feel safer with this app on my phone. I just wish Noonlight wouldn't restrict certain features to iPhones. Not everyone has an iPhone (including me) , so I think it's kind of weird for them to do that. Maybe it's just that they cannot engineer that for Android phones? However, aside from that, I love the app. The design is simple, it's free, and the way Noonlight works is really smart. I'd totally recommend it.

I love the concept, but it only registers my finger for a few moments before telling me to enter my password, which could cause issues if something were to happen and I was typing my password and even more distracted because I was focused on it not calling authorities when I was at the time, safe. I hope this bug can be fixed soon!

Thankfully, I have never had to use this, but it makes me feel safe knowing that in a situation that I feel unsafe, I have the option at my fingertips to be able to alert authorities immediately. A mom of four small kids, I prefer to shop alone and leave them with my significant other. However, sometimes shopping can only be done later in the evening, and parking lots can get sketchy sometimes. This app has given me peace of mind.

The watch version doesn't want to connect to my account on my phone. Haven't really had to use it yet but this kinda doesn't make sense for it not to work properly on watch and you have an app for it. Please fix that..

Bla. W. Jun 7, 2021

Pointless. I can defeat the app by holding the button and closing it out without it even asking for the code or sending an alert. Also, if you let go of the button and it's asking for the code, if you close the app within that 10 second period, the signal never gets sent out and the code becomes pointless. Simple security flaws like so make apps like these pointless. Carry a Glock instead.

well, i found out the hard way that it works. i guess i pressed the button and dropped my phone on my bed, then proceeded to do other things. they texted me 4 times and called me 3 times, alerted police, and then texted me again to make sure i was safe. glad to know it's so prompt!
