The app works most of the time, but is not the most reliable. The camera is very sensitive when it comes to noise, because it picks up every little sounds no matter how quiet (which isn't a bad thing). Notifications go off constantly, even when there's no one in the room, rendering that feature useless. I recommend using this app when you're at your house and awake. The sound does turn off sometimes, so you do have to check every now and then if your app's sound is working.

The only pro is that the image quality is good. Cons - we have a child that came home on O2 and we were hoping for the camera to be reliable and capture moments that we could go back to review and so far has failed to do so. It will record every 2 minutes the noise from his compressor during the day, but has failed to capture every major moment at night. It disconnects frequently and is unreliable. Will be looking for something else.

Hit and miss. If it does connect, it takes a few minutes. Most of the time the product fails to connect, freezes or goes offline for no reason. The smart audio unit has never worked and the customer care team never sent a new one after speaking with them. Very disappointing. Update: Customer support contacted us and we were able to reset everything and it currently works. Time will tell if it continues to work or if it goes back to disconnecting.

The app is never consistent. If I try to watch the monitor for more than a couple minutes it freezes and fully cuts out. I have lots of other devices that work perfectly well with our good quality wifi services and this monitor is not one of them. It always has connection issues, I cannot listen in because the sound cuts out every few seconds. It is terrible. A terrible monitor and the app is no help whatsoever. There are no options to troubleshoot either.

Overall does what it advertises to do. Sometimes takes ages to connect to wifi even with fast internet. I find the only thing that helps is closing the app entirely and trying again. The audio unit cuts in and out randomly so not always reliable. The nice thing is that it doesn't constantly play sound so you only hear baby when he cries or makes noise to the level you set. I wish the recording setting was something you could turn off and on. Somedays it records, others it doesn't. It was a gift for us, we used the standard baby monitor until our son was 8 months old

Unreliable. Difficult to connect, even with excellent wifi. Sound doesn't always work. But the deal breaker for me is that the unit goes from standby to online by itself. This has happened multiple times over several weeks. Who is watching and why? Creeps me out. This was a gift and is going back to the store. This would be a one star review, but the picture quality (on the rare chance I can actually connect) is excellent, so that is a positive.

I've had this monitor for a year and I've had problems with it off and on throughout the whole time. We went about 3 months with no issues and then it stopped connecting, couldn't turn it off without unplugging it. It's very frustrating because I like the monitor when it's working but because of all the issues I would not recommend this to another mom. I finally just got a cheap monitor from Target and it works every time, no issues. Really disappointed in this product, I had high hopes for it.

This camera use to work great but now with the new updates it doesn't connect regularly. Very frustrated that I had to buy an alternate monitor for the times that this is not functioning. I like the video but it does me no good when I cannot use it. My audio component doesn't connect anymore either since the new updates became available. I wish the changes didn't effect the function of the device. Looking at other monitors for our next child.

There are definitely places for huge improvement for this app. Prior to the latest update I was able to turn off the streaming when it's not in use, for some reason I no longer am able to do that. I now have to unplug it to turn it off and plug it back in when I need to use it. Which btw, does not "connect" right away when I plug it back in, I have to push the button on the top. The video and audio haven't been bad. Decent quality. Not the worst monitor, but far from the best.

Recorded "events" disappear and/or are inaccessible. For example, it'll say we have 85 recorded events, but when we tap on the filmstrip to view them, they all disappear and then it says we have "no recorded events" or it won't allow us to scroll passed the first few to access earlier events. Really frustrating! It makes the app useless other than for live viewing. This happens on my phone and my husband's.

SO many issues with this product! It no longer records baby moments, but gives us tons and tons of notifications to tell us the audio unit is fully charged (we leave it plugged in, so we shouldn't be getting them constantly...?). Also, we turned off the phone notifications for noise and movement because we got too many false alerts, so now we can't even use that feature.

The Monitoring app works most of the time, however the last 24hrs it's feed lagging and freezing. Monitoring my child has been more difficult. When the stream freezes and I have no idea what is happening hasn't been okay. Also I updated the app thinking an update would help with the issue but now my app hasn't successfully connected with the camera since. I see the event video clips (which won't play by the way) but no live stream at all. Even after several restarts. What's going on?

Have had this camera a while. Its always been slow to connect. Recently it doesn't connect at all. The developer says they had an issue that was resolved around July 27 but it's August 4 and it still doesn't connect. My wifi can run 2 Netflix accounts, fortnite online, and have multiple devices browsing the internet at one time no problem. Even the cheapest worst video quality camera is better if it atleast connects reliably. This device has major issues with connectivity.

When the camera and app work, it's great. HD video, decent sound quality, the night vision is great when it works - I find I have to turn it off then back to automatic manually every few days, otherwise it's a low res purple tint. But my main issue is with the app and camera interface, specifically it's issues with CONSTANTLY failing to connect after numerous attempts and then losing connection randomly throughout the night - certainly not something you'd want with a BABY MONITOR!

The app crashes every day one way or another. It tries to restart itself (fine) but makes loud dinging noise that wakes up my baby. I have to unplug it and replug every so often because the recorded videos all say "still loading" even hours later and doesn't allow you to see what your baby did to set it off. It's a $200 monitor! How can it have more issues than my other $40 one!

Terrible experience. The camera ALWAYS has a hard time connecting to my cell phone and tablet. I've reset it more times than I can remember.... After installing and reinstalling the camera COUNTLESS times, I am returning it through Amazon. I couldn't be more disappointed with this camera. (I initially gave it 2 stars and edited it to 1 star after contacting technical support, doing what they asked, and still having a terrible experience).

wow, I have been using this for nearly two months and am about ready to buy a different monitor. the app crashes, usually several times when trying to use it. and the camera takes forever to load the streaming feed, and will freeze up sometimes with the picture saying it is streaming but it isn't, the image is still. I realized this because I HEARD my baby crying from the other room but the camera showed a perfectly still and sleeping baby. So this is unreliable and incredibly frustrating.

This camera is complete garbage. Doesn't work most of the time, and when it does, there is a major delay (30 seconds or more) a good portion of the time. False motion / noise alerts regardless of sensitivity levels (nobody home, still triggers). Really a terrible product. Wish I could return.

Edit: 7/25/20. Once again, this worked well for awhile, now all of a sudden only I can turn on/off standby for us total 3 users but with a sudden glitch of it going on and offline randomly, I tried logging out and logging in and uninstalling app, and re adding the camera and now I can't even log into my account. So frustrating when something so important decides to go down FOR DAYS and I bet this will last for 2 months like the last issue.

It worked 95% of the time before. Now it has significant connectivity issues. Enough issues to consider abandoning this monitor completely. It will be running fine and then you wake up to a screaming baby finding the app lost connection during the night. I will say those having issues can go to Settings>Apps>Safety1st>Force Stop This seems to help the app soft reset and I can get it to connect about 50% of the time.

Since the apps most recent update, the baby monitor no longer records the 30 second "baby moment" clips. Nor do I receive notifications anymore, of any kind... No Movement. No noise. *No matter what settings I try* from smallest, up to largest, and everything else in between.. It's Incredibly frustrating!! It Used to be a decent dependable monitoring tool for baby & home. I do hope these problems can be fixed very soon; otherwise the search for a better/more reliable monitor begins🤷🏽‍♂️

Get something else. This is unreliable and disconnects and needs reinstalled all the time. Can't connect to the cams most of the time, lags alot, and since the problem its had for 2 months that they won't admit there is, i haven't even been able to reinstall them. "Missing parameter: username" is the constant error now. Going to go with another brand. Dont waste your money!

App is garbage. Cant turn off audio from camera. App wont see network on Android 8.1 phone. No way to record to phone unless motion sense is turned on. And theres more issues. This whole system belongs in some amateur night contest where it would shine. In fact that would be the only place this would be successful. On the app, theres no control to flip the video if the camera needs to be mounted from a ceiling for instance. Theres no system information screen where it shows the cameras IP.

*EDIT: they seem to have updated and done a complete overhaul on their app. It has begun to work again and works flawlessly, better than it initially did so I am happy with the product.* This was a great cam when I initially got it a year ago. I don't think it's connected once in the last month... I am beyond frustrated that I have paid over $100 for a product that I literally can't even use anymore. I would highly recommend saving your money here and invest in another company's product..

This system is truly awful. It will not stay connected. No issue with my internet. The issue lies solely within this terrible system. Images won't load, constant disconnection, jumpy video, ridiculous audio delay, now the camera won't even connect to wifi. This was as absolute waste of money. Do not, under any circumstances, buy this product. Ever.

Love stream won't load. Audio puck doesn't work and cannot do a factory reset. Seems like an hardware issue with the audio puck and a software issue with the live stream video. Having issues with both hardware and software in different areas of the product doesn't instil confidence in a product that is supposed to monitor a newborn. Tried on both a pixel XL and iPhone 8. Going to return

The app is fiddly. Sometimes streaming in the background works sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it will connect without issue to the camera sometime not. Also there is no option to turn cell data on or off. It would also be great to have a picture on picture mode where I can still stream video while I used other apps similar to YouTube's picture in picture mode.

This camera is terrible. It constantly disconnects overnight (my wifi has no issues). Now for the past two days the camera won't connect at all. I tried literally everything: resetting, removing the camera to re-pair (says offline and won't re-pair), I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing works. I even opened a brand new unit since I have two and that one does the same thing! Customer care isn't available, made me leave a message. For a $200 product this is unacceptable.

I first got the camera I loved it! Worked great but about 3 months into using it the sound box wouldn't work anymore.( tried factory reset and all the things customer service said to do)ok that stinks but atleast the camera still worked right! Well the past week or so it has been giving me issues not wanting to stay connected and now it wont turn off anymore by the app like I use to be able to do so I have to unplug and replug it in everyday and not wanting to connect unless I hit button on top.

I haven't been able to connect to the camera in months. I hoped the latest update would solve this so I reinstalled the app, but the camera continues to display the loading circle with "connecting to camera...". It doesn't matter if I'm on wifi or data, I've tried removing and re-adding the camera, reinstalling the app, I've changed the video quality, nothing works. It's a good camera and I have no access to it. Don't buy safety 1st if you want to be able to see the video...
