In SailGrib WR, you can specify for your weather routing amongst other parameters:
- the wind grib file: SailGrib WR includes the regular SailGrib features.
- the start, the destination points and intermediary waypoints
- the departure date and time,
- the speed polar file of your boat. SailGrib WR uses regular Maxsea polar files (.pol extension)SailGrib WR includes a set of more than 100 polar files for different sailboats.
- wind limits up and downwind
- minimum upwind angle for comfort while cruising
- night efficiency loss for cruising
- mixed routing: use your engine if you are too slow sailing.

The Free version is limited to:– 2 days of GFS 0.50° forecast– 1 day of tidal forecast– 50 NM routings– no atlas of tidal currents– no navigation panel.

I've been using this app for years for cruising and offshore racing - the feature set is pretty incredible for the price - now that it can display Navionics charts I have little reason to open any other apps. The developers are extremely responsive whenever I have questions or need help. Just used this app to win our division at the 2020 Heineken regatta. Highly recommended.
I love this app BUT, it's too exclusive to yatchs only. Smaller craft like Sunfish/Laser class could benefit from this for longer trips but no boat-polars in this app. A pity really. Still, for larger craft it's excellent without the ridiculous expense my former wind prediction app. This is a successful app with a developer who gives a damn. A welcome thing.
Used the full version of the app to great effect in the 2019 fastnet. The developer was quick to answer questions and make suggestions and i found my way round the system quickly. Lots of polars, and easy to create you own. I would definitley recomend this app. 2021 additional comments. The App receives regular updates and keeps improving. Fast becoming the go to planner amounst many skippers i know.
Great app. Got the upgrade as it has a very reasonable pricing both for monthly or yearly subscription. App is easy to use has a lot of interesting customizable features. To me, the paid subscription is well worth it.
Great app with much more than just grib-file download and viewer. Even when non-subscribing there's a lot of value. The built-in charts lack depth but are much better than many others. Considering the fearure plethora it's fairly easy to use.
Only tried the free version, once i got it to work seemed to work. At the moment still "playing around with it". but seem to be a usable app. Currently considering paying for the upgrade but only after using it for real this summer.
Its good and mostly accurate. But it should also include swell and wave height at seas so as to make it more professionally acceptable. I can also purchase it the above features are included.
On data or wi-fi works well, but on Iridium no connection at all. Connected to server, than refused. Frustrating have 200 attemps and no grib in middle of nowhere.
I paid for premium but only get free services. No contact available. Sail Grib are better at taking your money than providing the service they claim to provide.
Very complete app with a lot of useful parameters to match real navigation. Plenty of polar data. Congratulations, well done!

Hard to use, instructions are poor to nonexistent. Wouldn't connect to Iridium Go, only over the web.... I'll stick to predict wind!
I haven't used yet on the water but it's looks great ! Looking forward to have it a go next summer.
Terrific video tutorial get the user up to speed quickly yet this is a powerful app with many high level features.

terrible app and being able to do a routing of 50NM only in the free version is rubbish!

Very helpful and stable.
Application price/ features ratio is good. There are a few improvements I would like to see like 1. Stability. Annoying bugs like after playing a WR the second time or reloading the time cursor is in sync with the grib instead of the routing and playing becomes almost impossible 2. I would like to see choices for comfort vs speed routing based on wind and waves. Suggesting time of departure based on that. 3. More layers to be added to view, most important waves 4. Slow updates
