Salem’s Market and Grill is Pittsburgh’s destination for Halal foods and Middle Eastern fare. At Salem’s, our mission is to consistently provide quality foods and services as a supplier, venue, and restaurant. Our location houses a banquet hall, a market stocked with international ingredients and Halal meat, and a grill where we serve up fresh and enticing meals on a daily basis. We are a thriving local resource, where staff and clients form a community.

Our company was launched in 1983 by Massaud Salem in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Initially, Salem’s began by serving restaurants, businesses, and schools as a supplier of quality foods under the name, Salem’s Halal Meats. At that time, our company had one main focus, to supply quality Halal meat to our community and provide a variety of international groceries.

Over the years, Salem’s grew due to the popularity of its meats and ingredients. Now located in the Strip District, a hub of shopping and restaurants near downtown Pittsburgh, Salem’s Market and Grill continues to provide quality meats and highly sought-after ingredients.

We recognize that the best way to respond to the expectations of the company is through steady growth. We also believe it is important that our work is meaningful to all who contribute to it.
