Salesforce Authenticator is terrible. To add account to app, you need access to your account... But to get access to account you need the account to be added to the app.... 🤦🏻♀️🤔 Don't think they thought this through.... It's basically a catch 22 with no actual solution. I would recommend for everyone to hold off on using their 2 factor authenticator as long as possible.
I don't like that sometimes it gives a banner message that prompts for Yes or No and other times those prompts aren't available and the only option is to open the app. I'd much prefer the Yes/No option.
One of the worst authenticator apps. It's incredibly slow to respond and get me in. Typically 48 seconds vs. Okta's 3. Salesforce support suggested appending the 6 digit code to the end of my password and stated "We are unable to do anything else aside from the workarounds we suggested" I thought they'd invest more attention to this since they are pushing everyone to 2FA starting next month. The good news is my client got a discount from SF to use Okta to solve the issue. UPDATE - Still terrible
Took me a bit to get the auto approve feature set up so I wouldn't have to input the code but overall super simple and easy to use.
Can't describe my frustration right now, these apps are indeed terrible and difficult to use for no reason.
the lightning login function is very useful. Though I wish it would still asking me to review something when I already have done.
Perfect for my work with Salesforce and added a few other authentication. Works seamlessly. Very happy
I STILL can't login to PartnerNet. I've been trying to add an account on this app for 47 minutes and I'm starting to get frustrated. The app refuses to allow me to connect to the PartnerNet app and I can't open an account connection and I don't get any notifications to approve an account. I've uninstalled and reinstalled both apps 5 or 6 times now and am still struggling. Why is this so difficult?! Someone please help!
Having to log in multiple times to complete a half/day-long task is a pain. I also got a new phone, but I'm never directed to the page where I have to enter the two-word psw. I keep having to go back to my old phone and recharge it just to access Salesforce platforms. I get wanting to keep the clients info private, but there has to be a better way. It's just a frustrating UX.
Backup not at all working. What should I do with my new phone without that. This app is terrible.
It does the job but but super user friendly in setting up. The mobile web browser would just keep loading an error message instead of the page for you to paste the two word pass phrase that the app gives you. But then it worked on a computer browser. Maybe that is intentional? Not sure. Anyways once you know how to use it and you're all set up it is straight forward.
This is the worst authenticator I've ever used. It is slow and at times unresponsive, claims not to be connected to Salesforce when it is connected, does not always validate. This has been a complete nightmare to use just to clock in. The amount of glitches encountered is phenomenally bad.
I hate that I am required to use a separate app to verify access to an account I already have robust security to access. There should be an option to skip this forced verification. Every other program has two factor identification options that do not require a separate app.
Put simply, this was a bad move. I'm required to use a separate app (on my personal device) to verify a work account that already has its own security requirements. It's supposed to be one authentication each day, but despite plenty of troubleshooting it's still multiple every single day. Since last Monday I've had to authenticate at least 3 times each day, with yesterday requiring 5. It's already impacted two meetings where I didn't have my phone handy. Please, please fix this.

The app is working well, did not faced any problems while using it.
Only two things could be better, in my opinion. The lightning login notification could be a bit quicker (compared to other authenticator apps), and it would be nice if you didn't have to set up a new "account" for every sandbox environment. But I'm just nitpicking, works great in general.
