It's pretty good, but there are some frustrations. For example, you've navigated to a network folder say 5 or 6 levels down and been playing some music for a while. You press the back button on the interface because you want to, say, play a different album from the same artist, but it takes you completely out to the top level of the browser and you have to mess about drilling back down through the folders again. Also if you've got a folder with numerous sub-folders, there's no option to play all

Plays music off of your share drives but it doesn't recognize playlist files. In other words, it's an audio player that lacks one of the most basic features imaginable.

Please add the option to enable gap-less play back, makes live albums etc more enjoyable. Also needs the ability to save and load playlists that you have created.

You auto detected my lan drive without me having to type in 192... nonsense. Well done! This is a perfectly written app and so easy to use. I've paid for the full version.

It has totally stopped working with my Network Samba share with a "No access to folder" error. It used to be fine, and all other samba apps still connect ok, so not sure what has changed here. I think the last update to SMB V2 has broken V1.

Player works fine, but once you start it, acts like the undead: it's unremovable from the notification panel. No matter how many times you swipe it off, it comes back. This is rather annoying. Even disabling notifications does't stop it. It turns itself back on. This is intolerable. Goodbye!

This app has almost everything I was looking for and I don't ask for much. I haven't seen any ads yet, so that's good. It can access SMB shared folders, but only SMB v1, not v2, so I had to allow both SMB v1 and v2 in my SMB server, so that's bit concerning on my SMB server. It's easy to add to a playlist, but I wish there was a way to create and manage multiple playlists. Other than that, I am very happy with this app. I'll give 5 star once multiple playlist feature is added.

This tool is amazing, however I'd like to have the capability to select an entire folder instead of single audio files. When you have a huge amount of music, organized by several sub categories (sub folders), is a pain surf each and every folder to add songs to the playlist. Also, it would be great if we might have the option of saving several playlists.

Great little app, plays mp3s from a nas drive over WiFi, I can then stream them to my hifi by bluetooth. Just a bit annoying occasionally - there does not seem to be a back button from the now playing screen, it dumps you back to the beginning and you have to go back up through the folders every time. Also seems to forget bookmarks every so often. However, so far much better than others I have tried and no ads. Thank you.

Does (almost) exactly what I needed: playing mp3 music easily from a Windows shared folder. Edit: After using it for a while, it does have some quirks. Often times I think I am just playing a folder but end up adding it to the already existing playlist. It caches folder contents, so external updates to a shared folder don't show up unless you do a re-scan of your entire music source. Aside from these issues, it is currently the best Samba music player I have found for my older device (4.1.2 Kit Kat).

Works ok some times. Quite often it just stops playing mid playlist. Also, having to type in user/pass over and over and over to do anything on network drives is frustrating (and yes I check the box for it to save the log in info). And having to type it in every time to just change music even if the app was never closed is getting annoying. I don't use easy passwords so it's a real hassle if you want better network security instead of using a short simple password.

Fantastic little player, connected to my NAS so I could stream my music collection to an outdoor Bluetooth speaker. Works with 24bit flac really well. Only issue is the gaps between songs as it buffers, but that is probably more indicative of the cheap phone I am using. Intuitive, unfussy and reliable. What more could you ask for when it is free.

I am very satisfied with this app, nevertheless the folder selection tool should have a recursive option so that it can find music inside other folders. Some of us have large music collections ordered by folders with the vinyl/cd name and it would be great not to have the need to enter each folder in order to select the music files. Four stars for now until this option is available. Great work guys!

Fantastic app. Just connected to my rather old Dlink nas drives, finds folders and music first time (Running app on a Galaxy S10 running android 9 latest release). It even displays album art. Managed to add music folder as a favourite so no longer need to scan network for drive/folder each time I connect. Play list works OK as well. It plays my WAV and mp3 files no issue. So far no bugs or issues found. I will update again in a month or so with any updates.

Was able to access my windows network shares immediately, but the app wouldn't remember my password, so every time i navigated away from the network browser i had to re-enter it. Unfortunately there is also no option to chromecast the the audio playing. I found i could mirror cast my whole screen and that would pass the audio, but that seems a bit extreme. Unfortunately i can't recommend the app at this stage.

Good player but the only niggle is once playing an album you can't go back to your album list. The only way is to reselect your NAS drive again. Just need an Up folder button. The blue arrow is only in the "Browse Shares". When you are playing an album and want to change to a different album there is no option to go back....... *Please can you look at your Playstore 3rd photo which is the Playlist and there is no blue up arrow.

Good concept but doesn't find any of my 28 Network speakers (Google home, Nest displays, and Chromecast)

Very good app and I can play all the music on my SMB LAN connection without the irritating sound dropouts I get with other apps. I can organise a playlist for the nights listening and it plays through seamlessly. The only very minor thing would be the labelling of controls but once you have it sussed it's plain sailing from there on. Love It!

Works great on my phone. On my tv box (which is where I want to use it most) it sees my share and all of my files but errors out when I try to play my music. Both devices are running Oreo and accessing the same share. Great app. Hope I can get it working on my TV box.

I had searched for weeks to find a solution to playing music from my NAS device on Android but nothing was even close and a lot of wasted time. Then I saw a recommendation for Samba, downloaded and installed and within 2 minutes I had the solution with WiFi and Bluetooth listening to MY music all over my house. Brilliant and I've just started. Brilliant, thank you 3cats.
