Samsung ANC Type-C

My earbuds used to work fine! Now with the update they have stopped working completely. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still nothing! This is very frustrating, I need my privacy to make and receive phone calls, especially at work. Please fix immediately! I know I am not the only one with these issues. Not happy at all!

This did not fix the fact that my favourite Sony earbuds with a jack don't really work with a USB-C dingle. There's a static sound present. Also after install the app needs to update through redirecting to the Galaxy Store, not sure why. Not sure what it does and why you had to remove the jack either, but it's a really pointless move.

My akg isnt works for calls, i know its incompatible with my device ( A30, and my handfree is EO-IC100 ) But, as I and most of the Samsung users think, shouldn't the updates be done in a way that works properly with the latest handheld old devices that come with you? This is because there is a plug for it in the relevant mobile phone that connects to the handfree device.

Downloaded to see if it provided any benefits on my note 20 ultra. To everyone trying to use this on a USB type-C slot only Samsung device, this app is already pre-installed in system apps under earphone-fota, its no longer necessary to use. I have Samsung Type-C connection AKG wired earbuds that came with the Galaxy s10 series & they work without any extra stuff on my Note10+/Note20 Ultra/S20 Ultra. This app is for if you have TypeC only buds & you want to use it on a device that supports both

Samsung really need to lift their game and address this issue with USB-C headsets not working (even their own ones). Appalling that people are left with expensive devices that are now not fully functional seemingly due to an update.

The app does not even load up on OnePlus 7Pro, while taking calls on headphones, there will be no audio output on the headphones which makes taking calls impossible. Also the assistant button does not work at times.

What the hell is this app? It just checks for updates? Worthless with a Samsung S8+. Need to provide a better description of what this app is avoid confusion and low reviews.

Why I can't install the app in my Samsung device. What is the problem? If they are seeing this they shall fix this problem immediately. Thank you.

on Note8, why do we need to install this app despite connect with original Samsung headset? and even installed and all permission granted, i can't use with Ms Team while work fine with Youtube and other music app.

ok so this is more of a review of the actual ANC earphones themselves, but since you can update the firmware I thought it would be appropriate here The noise cancelling function negatively affects the sound quality, especially speech, it makes the lower-mids and upper-bass sound hollowed out, it is minor but it is noticable, can this be fixed via a software update?

Doesn't work. Says USB connected device not supported yet I'm using Samsung earbuds even and everything is up to date as well on my S21ULTRA. Updated since last review and after reading C Kains review who has obviously made things far more clear then the creator of this app themselves lol

Appalling, my headphones aren't detected and they don't work even with the latest update. Frustrating that I can't use them. Fix it ASAP.

This app does nit update the Samsung type c anc earphones Also, when i am using my sim/network to make a call or receive a call, i have no sound at all and not mic working. I have a huawei phone but I also tested on a s9 and the same thing happened But the calls from messenger or viber are coming through the earphones

Was hoping this app would give control over noise cancelling or audio profiles. Nope just for updating firmware, which my set didn't need. No updates since September makes me think there's no reason to ever update the firmware again. I mean they're just headphones

Not detecting my Samsung EO-IC500 on my Note 20 Ultra but they seem to be detecting the standard Samsung AKG buds that came with my phone. This means I can't get any software updates which is meant to be the point of this app...right?

Update: second try worked. My headset is up to date. Why does the app need access to my pictures? So only 3 stars. Can't even download the app

Please help i just bought original s10+ AKG headphones for my S20 FE it doesnt worked at first but after few tries they stopped working i'm 100% sure the headphones working fine cause i tried them on other phone but with my s20 FE it still doesn't work seriously i only tested them for half an hour and this happend i even tried the dev option but still not working please help

Love the headphones but I didn't receive an update since I started using them, but I'm assuming they will push updates in the future as this is a special app developed just for the EO-IC500's.

My headphones (type-C connection) don't work with the Samsung S21 Ultra. I get message 'device not supported'. Very disappointing for such an expencive phone. The app does not help.

Simply, awful. How is it possible to have all the benefits including 3.5mm jack and all phones and yet we lack them on higher tier phones? Do please take some cues from Asus and Sony.

Just an app to update the software of Samsung type c anc headphones. There is no reason to install if you don't have the headphones and suggesting that it should work with other headphones is idiotic

My wired AKG earphones just became undetectable after update. This is really disappointing

Software support for specific model of headphones. If you do not have the headphones from Samsung the app will do nothing for you.

my original samsung type c headphones don't work after the os has been updated.

It is not installing on my m40 and my headphones are not connected not only headphone but isb is also not connected to other device extremely disappointed by samsung. I will never buy your phone again

Does not work. I pay 4000 for a phone and can't use headphones. I bought 3 pairs and a dongle and yet nothing. Samsung can eat my shorts.

I am not able to install it on my Samsung Galaxy M40, and I have no option for bass boost and treble boost in Samsung Music.

Option to update Greyed out. Fails to do anything. Samsung S9+ and AKG USB C headphones.
