The Samsung Print Service is a system tool that enables wireless printing to Samsung printers and many other printer brands by integrating Mopria technology. Nearly all new printers sold today by Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, Fuji Xerox, HP, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, Lexmark, Pantum, Ricoh, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba and Xerox are Mopria-certified to make it easy to print your photos, web pages, documents, coupons, recipes and files from your favorite apps. You can even control print settings including color, number of copies, paper orientation and double-sided printing.
If you own a Samsung Galaxy phone, this system tool is already pre-installed. For any Android phone or tablet running KitKat (4.4) or higher, installing this plug-in will enable easy mobile printing from your device.
PHONE AND TABLET COMPATIBILITYSamsung Galaxy Phones/Tablets – The Samsung Print Service plug-in is pre-installed on S4, S5, S6, S7 and many other Samsung phones & tablets. This plug-in cannot be uninstalled or moved to a SD card. When plug-in updates are available your device will notify you. Please adjust your settings to automatically update this plug‐in, or accept updates manually. For any other Galaxy phone or tablet where this Plug-in is not pre-installed, it can be downloaded and installed as long as the Samsung device is running Android KitKat (4.4) or later.
Other Android Phones/Tablets – The Samsung Print Service will work with any device with Android KitKat (4.4) or later. KitKat was the first version of Android that included the “Android Print Framework” which allows an Android App to access a built-in printing system. When updates are available for the Samsung Print Service, your device will notify you.

TURNING ON THE SAMSUNG PRINT SERVICEIf you are unable to locate any printers, you may need to enable the Samsung Print Service.Go to your device “Settings” and search for “Printing” to locate the Samsung Print Service. Then toggle the switch from “Off” to “On”.

Can't use app. The 'OK' button on the Samsung Print Services Plugin page is grayed out. There's a check box / message about helping to improve app by sending usage data. Even when I check it, nothing happens. It's the first thing I see when I open the app so I can't go any further. Uninstall/reinstall doesn't fix it.
I've been struggling a lot with the Samsung Mobile Print app the Samsung printer directed me to, so when I discovered this plugin works with the printer too I downloaded it immediately, since anything is better than that other app. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well this one works! Hard to believe they're made by the same company. It took me a tenth of the time to print with this than it did with the other app, and it was super easy to figure out how to use.

DO NOT INSTALL, OR DISABLE OF POSSIBLE. Ever since the first security update of this year, all apps on Samsung phones have have been infected and cause massive lag to many phones. I have no idea why and have tried everything suggested to me so far from Google and Microsoft.
used to be great! I love this app. I used to be able to plug the cord from the printer directly into my phone and print anything. I don't have Wi-Fi so this worked great. Now for some reason all my phone will do is Download a pdf and I uninstalled and reinstalled the app it still will not print when I plug it into my printer.This is worthless to me now.
Has never been able to connect to either of my parents' samsung printers despite following all instructions, using my phone. Has worked okay for every other device i've tried except my moto z3. My sister's z3 is the same way. Two stars bc it works for other devices UPDATE: Just reinstalled it to print something out, and I can't even get past the first pop-up to "opt-in" to analytics. Nothing would allow me to select OK to continue.
How is it that in 2022 it is still a hassle to connect a printer ? It's only another device isn't it ? My hp printer worked great. Turned it off for 3 months. Tried to set it up today. Now 2 hours in and not working. No printer detected. Its like 1998 all over again. I'm now handwriting my document. The printer is sitting in the front garden in a hundred pieces. This app only added oil to the fire. I hope it helps you. If it doesn't then don't waste too much time trying to fix it.
This app does not preview or print the original picture without cutting off the top and bottom of the screen like it's 'zoomed in' or truncated. The Galaxy version prints the whole image of a screenshot and NONE of the printer plugins I have found on the Play Store print the whole picture. My big problem is the Play Store keeps updating my Galaxy version to this app that does not work properly like the Galaxy version so I have to uninstall and reinstall the Galaxy app. Why not make'em the same?
Total garbage. Like others have posted, can't get past the app share bs screen. It is completely USELESS. Wish I could've given it zero stars. I guess fixing it isn't important to anyone as it's still trash and no one has addressed it. Time to give up my loyalty to Samsung.
3 downloads have failed to work! Not impressed. The first version I downloaded refused to connect to my new C480FW. I uninstalled it and downloaded the app again. It printed one document and stopped working. My third download appears to be installed according to the Google play store, but doesn't show up in my list of installed apps, so I can't run it. It looks like I'm now going to try for a fourth download.
Still experimenting. Seems to be working well. The only problem is... Seems it disconnects from the printer every time I use it, and I have to reconnect. Will evaluate that more positively within the next week. Thank you
Annoying window pops up without ability to hit Ok. No matter if I select the checkbox or not. Uninstalled, reinstalled, same result, box does not go away. Samsung Note 9. Update: After looking at another phone I attempted same install. A smaller font size exposed 2 checkboxes. After I reduced my font size, i could see the 2 checkboxes. The application was not designed to account for a larger font size. The print service plugin now works as normal.
Finally a mobile print that works. I had tried several and even though both my printers showed up I always got a spooler error. This seemed to work using mobi print whereas using that app directly before failed...
Five times I have tried to print a PDF document and five times I have ended up with nothing but a blank page even though I am printing by way of the IP address so far this plug-in continues to fail and its functionality
Update: NONE of my print service plug-ins work now. // Since the last updates installed on my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, I cannot print due to error message "Failed to change the settings. Try again." I've tried uninstall/reinstall apps, restarting phone, restarting router, restarting printer, nothing works. I see from other reviews I'm not alone. Does anyone know of a solution, or when we can expect a fix??? Please?!?!?!
Works great on my Galaxy S7 (still), printing wirelessly from phone to printer across my home WiFi network. App "finds" & accesses the printer fast, as well as having all the main settings I need for printing like double-sided, color/B&W, quality, # of copies etc. Being this compatible and fast with my "Brother Multi-Function Printer", the Samsung Printer Service WELL outperforms the Brother Printer Service Plug-in to the point I uninstalled all others. I wanted to print from my Chromebook without using the cloud so I installed the Samsung Print Service Plugin, went to setup/printers and added it. Chromebook already detected the printer when I plugged it into the usb and powered it on, correctly identifying it as a Samsung M2830DW. The plugin has a list of printers that are defined within it which did not include my printer so I picked the closest model lower than mine. Documents now print directly from the app, fast and no cloud. Great plugin!
Terrible. The OK button is disabled. After reading through HP article and cookie article. Which is not even remotely close to what I need. I'm trying to connect my Epson printer.
Watch out for this one. Didn't want it, didn't ask for it, but it wheedled its way on to my phone just the same. It just sat there, using 75mb of storage which I can't afford. Couldn't uninstall it, but I disabled it and it disappeared and I got my storage space back. It appears here on Google Play as "disabled". The whole thing looks dodgy to me: an app I didn't ask for and can't uninstall? My printer is an Epson and I have the Epson app, which works just fine. And it goes on the SD card.
Doesn't work any more. Automatically detected printer but wont let me print to it, everything is just greyed out. Samsung Mobile Print works, no idea why this doesn't. Tried on two different phones, one of which was working a few months ago. Disappointing, as I like my Samsung printer.
Every time I will try to print it never has made contact with my printer and post no printer connected. But you can see my printer when you ask it to show all printers. This app does nothing but take up space on my phone. Would like to uninstall but you are not able to. I would give this app a -100 stars.
Just like a bunch of reviews I read. You can't use the printer option anymore because it won't let you click okay on the receptor terms agreement. This forced me to be stuck on the other side at the Border because I couldn't print a important document the cross period, there's no contact number whatsoever to get technical help. Useless piece of garbage If I would have known about this I wouldn't have let my phone auto update with no way to roll back to previous version.
You can't connect to printers through wifi. Not everyone knows the IP address to their printer(s), so to make it easy why wouldn't you have wifi connection available? Well, I just uninstalled this app and will find one that will connect to my printers thru the wifi. Maybe you should update your app to compete with all the other apps.
It work well, no frills. No advanced features, but allows you to print to your printer and gives you a preview of the print job. You will have to rely on the app you are sharing from --that's how to get print to samsung printer in most apps -- to format what you are printing. I have accidentally found out the app will let you print to ALMOST ANY network printer with surprisingly good results. Would have given 5 stars if it allowed more advanced settings -- at least for samsung printers.
