Want to turn a decent Samsung camera into a useless paperweight? Install this app. We have continual problems with the app not connecting to our camera. Will get notification of events and only maybe one or two times in 10 are we able to actually view the event within a minute of it happening. What's the point? In researching, I found this app to be the common element of many people's problems. Maybe Samsung should put some effort into software development and overhaul this piece of junk.

app keeps crashing when trying to zoom in on live image. only goes to full live image when connected to wifi. when on phone network, will not load and only plays in relay mode so all features are not available. I've seen others post that the zoom issue was since the 6/18/19 update which is ridiculous. updates are supposed to fix things not break them. the relay mode issue started a few updates ago. wish I had different cameras now.

I have had this app six+ years & have used it on multiple devices w/o issue....sadly, used to work great. After the latest updates, the camera feed is very choppy. I'm sure the animals on the feed aren't moon walking! When viewing events or playback from card app stops connecting & states: access failed simultaneous network connection/network unstable. Then I can no longer access cam unless I physically pull plug & reconnect. Not convenient. Not fond of time out relay feature either. Plz fix.

Don't Waste Your Time! App constantly kicks you out after trying to stream live footage. Freezes and just shows you a still image sometimes which falsely leads you to believe that nothing is happening in front of the camera. Being an app from Samsung, I expected better. Now the camera that I bought to work with this app is a paperweight.

From a company with the reputation that Samsung has you'd expect camera software that worked at least more than half the time. This does not. The cameras that Samsung produce are very good, the software is diabolical. I'm lucky if I can get a connection at all. It comes as a suprise when I do. It's not my network that's at fault as I have two other cameras from two different manufacturers using different software, both of which work faultlessly.

Bad, notification of full SD card pops up in notification bar but cannot be accessed from there, then another on screen notification pops up telling me app cannot be used from this account (there's only one account) then that little notification freezes on screen and stays, have to restart phone in order to get rid of it. Considering I use Samsung Note 10+, everything should work smooth as camera is Samsung, right? WRONG. Camera's software is out of date, does not integrate with Smartthings.

Out of the gate, this has been a most awful experience. Just getting the camera set up took hours, and I'm still uncertain if it's working correctly. The camera continually disconnects and the app is less than intuitive. I spent actual money on this thing and am only thankful that it wasn't very much since I bought it used. I'll let this run for awhile and see how things go. I am rating 1-star for now since there's nothing lower available. I'll adjust accordingly after working with it further.

I've had this camera for years and it used to work flawlessly until updates in 2020 (I'm sure they will blame on pandemic). I never paid for/used their cloud service, so I cannot speak on that. After updates the camera will not stay connected. It disconnects all the time randomly. It also stopped using the sd card. I've used several tested/working cards and it randomly stops recognizing them when it feels like it. Camera works for a day or two then stops. Please get it together Samsung, fix it.

This used to be a solid app, but since Samsung has solid this off, the quality has gone down. Now the app doesn't allow Google to be integrated to story the videos. It mentions going to the website to complete the integration, but it shows a message saying only Internet Explorer is supported....

Samsung supposed to be the best ha ha the jokes on you. Forget support. Once your warranty expires forget it. I have 2 dvr's and no updates to drivers or players devices purchases from Sam's club have no support at all 32 cameras and I have to still use XP and explorer to use them. I wonder if Sony is any better. They used to be better. Not for me anymore.

Almost perfect cam, Great video quality, I use a 64gb hd card and it works perfectly with it. Warning IF you use it to record in your house,IF you remove the card without first going into the app to deauthorize the memory card, it will render the card useless. It literally crashes the card,Just buy another card. I'd suggest to immediately rename the cam and add a strong password. Downside is if you access the cam too many times(4 or more), it will not let you access it again unless you reboot

would give less than one star if I could. Cannot access any footage, only can use for a live feed. no web access, terrible customer service, I had packages stolen off my porch and cannot even access the footage. It just loads and loads and eventually the phone goes to sleep after 10+ minutes. Worst purchase I have made in a long time and I hope if you read this, you find a better alternative so you don't get screwed over by these guys like I did.

update to this review: new update (Jul 3rd 2019) fixes the zooming bug - however high resolution is now what the low resolution used to be and low resolution is now potato quality. At least it now works (even though there is a loss of image quality) so have increased rating from 1 to 2 original review: latest update (June 2019) now crashes when you zoom the camera.

That one star has been coerced and not deserved. Registration very difficult. When the "Term and condition" box is check it get unchecked as soon as the "Policies" box is checked, and vice versa. Even the review is ot straigth forward, The process is a long and bothersome process... Left with no other choice but to uninstall...

smart cam worked out for a few months, then one day I could not get the camera to work. it will not sink with my phone app. I don't know why it stopped, but it did and it won't work again. otherwise when it did work it was very nice. the features were great. when I got it though, it didn't come complete with a memory card as supposed to, I bought several, and none of them work.

The entire Samsung SmartCam is anything but smart. It is one of the worst software I used during the last 25 years. Worst of all it is temperamental and often switches itself off and one has to install the hardware new. Just junk, useless.and unreliable.Typical Samsung you can throw your money away as Samsung hardware changes several times a year. Never again anything from Samsung!!!!!

This app was detected using the microphone in my cell phone three times today despite not having opened the app since my last reboot. There was no tangible reason for this so I have concluded this app's security has been compromised. I have deleted it and thrown my Smart Cam away. Not a big loss as the camera was terrible but a complete waste nonetheless. Unless you'd like someone listening to you I'd recommend doing the same. My two cents.

I've had this app several years, and it works fine. When the Wi-Fi goes out, the app quickly resets itself once Wi-Fi is restored. My only problem is with the camera. I have two SD cards stuck inside, and I am unable to record anything.

Used to work pretty good. Definitely better than it does now. If I touch screen to zoom the app just crashes. This wasn't always the case so I dont understand why its happening now. If it gets fixed I'll change my rating. Using Android version 9. Shocking all it took was my review and Wow. now it works. changed my review to 4 stars cuz it's still not perfect

Same as all the others. Version 2.89 breaks zoom on live feed. Add this to the connectivity and browser access issues we've always had and it's a recipe for "Wish we'd gone with a different camera."

My cameras work well. But, I lose the sound within a few seconds and then the screen says " you have lost wifi connection.." then the video go out. THe cable company say they are not the problem. It is in the app. Please fix this....
