This app does exactly what it says it does. It is only for Trolley passes to Chargers games and it works great for that. It is unfortunate that so many people have given this one star reviews for not doing what it is not intended to do. Read the description folks!
Have used it several times never had an issue
Stupidiest app ever. C'mon, only works on CERTAIN days?! Incredibly stupid, San Diego. You can do better!
What's the point of this app if it's only good a few days a year? I'm only in town for events and the events I want a trolley pass for often aren't on this app.
won't let me sign in or sign up. says email invalid. it's not. piece of junk. too bad.
Only valid for sporting events.
I can only buy tickets for days with special events???
Can't buy a pass the day of event?
Its only used for the trolley
I used it to buy trolley tickets for Comic-Con 2015. Worked fine. My only complaint is that if I was mid step registering or buying tickets and let my lock screen come on, or if I tabbed to another app I would get booted back to the main menu and have to start over again.
I have had an Android phone for two years now, and this is THE WORST app I have ever encountered in these 2 years. I was very excited when I saw this app in the play store, because I use the MTS bus and trolley about 3 days a week, and I have been denied admission to the bus because I had a bill larger than $5, and no one on the bus had change. So I was excited that MTS finally has come up with an app where can I buy my pass with my credit or debit card before leaving my house. But after downloading this app, I find out that it only sells tickets for the trolley ONLY, and only for the days July 23 through July 27. THAT MAKES NO SENSE. I do not know a single person who ONLY rides the trolley. The trolley is part of most our commutes, but almost all of us have to take a bus to or from the trolley station. And the $5 pass that we buy each morning covers both bus and the trolley. To add insult to injury, the app charges $5.50 for a one day pass for TROLLEY ONLY, when the regular day pass is only $5 for both bus and trolley. THIS APP IS GOOD FOR NOTHING, AND IT MAKES NO SENSE. I hope some responsible person in the MTS reads my review and other reviews of this pointless app and fixes it
App UI is very poor, especially during account setup. Interface to enter credit card details is very flakey. Requires much perseverance to enter and step through the registration process - it will work by plenty of trial an error. Just allow plenty of time before your train departure!
Bought a day pass for 2. Activated it on the way toward the convention center. Showed group of two people. seemed fine so far. But on the way home later the same day, I had to activate again for some reason. And now there was no indication at all that I had purchased a ticket for two. Price showed $0, not what I had actually paid. I was very nervous when security asked for my ticket but luckily didn't hassle me. The app does not seem to work right for groups. Avoid.
Simply looking for schedules or even route maps, forget it. Apparently this app was some sort of test for mobile ticketing during 2014 Charger games. Hasn't been updated. No Padre games available or Comic Con. I really needed that trip planner not a, link out to Google maps. Poor rating for jot being updated, no schedules and the thing goes vertical at open then flips to horizontal for other pages! Just keep it simple and provide info even if mobile tickets aren't available yet!
No excuse, this app is lacking in basic functionality, with Google apps and other APIs this app should show me were I am, were in going, and my fair getting there, NFC is software optional, people who don't have it won't have it. And the old paper tickets lacked NFC. So this App would get people to ride the trolley more, unfortunately it makes me want to ride it less, ride along apps are doing more than this one app is capable of.
I am a traveler visiting for the week and still have yet to figure out how to buy a ticket though this app.
Special events are the only tickets available on the MTS App, trip planner sends you to an Internet link, events sends you to an Internet link. On a Samsung Galaxy Note 4, this App has no real use and will be uninstalling it.
Not a good app for the public transit user. No real time schedules and links you to a webpage for more info. Not user friendly.
This app used to be good. Would show all day trolley and bus schedules for pre-planning. Now it is horrible. All about buying a ticket and using your phone as your pass. Doesn't even have schedules and the trip planner is useless.
Mislabeled menu caused me to purchase the wrong tickets. MTS, your app is a joke, get it together.
You can only purchase tickets if there is an event. This could actually be useful if you can use it on a daily basis. Highly disappointing.
Should be able to purchase a one way or senior ticket. Guess the vending machine will have to do.
It is a great concept but exactly that a concept finish the app fellow developer. You're getting one step closer to brilliance you almost got this right! Read reviews....you'll know what to do. :)
Totally useless, do not download!
Easy to use. My ticket lasted 2 days but I only paid for 1!
Useless for normal / casual commuters
$5.50 only for trolly and not bus? There is also no refund once ticket has been purchased, even if not activated. Thieves!
This app bullshit...i need to buy tickets for four days prior to my other one expiring...fix it
Worthless piece of crapware. Typical California.
Bought a 4-day pass for 7/21-7/24. Activated it on day 1, saw a timer and the ability to show a barcode if needed. On day 2, the ticket is now in my ticket history, showing 0 rides left. Used, not active, & expired... But it also says valid 7/21-7/25. Called the phone number in the app for help. They were MTS and couldn't help with the app, so they told me to call the app developer. Called first thing in the morning, no humans, left a voicemail, no reply or fix to my ticket. Do hope I'm not fined...
