Sandbox Parent App
The Sandbox Parent App is the easiest way to stay connected with your child care provider. Use the Parent App to communicate directly with teachers in the classrooms as well as centre administrators, and to keep track of your child's daily activities and their milestone moments as they happen. Push notifications ensure that you’ll never miss a moment. You can also pay invoices online and update your child’s information as necessary.
Sandbox Parent App enables parents to:
- View pictures and updates of their children through the Newsfeed and Daily Logs section
- Communicate directly to the center administrator as well as teachers in their children's classes
- View invoices & tax receipts
- Pay invoices and outstanding balances
- Generate statements
- Manage payment cards
- Manage their child’s information, photos, medical information and upload attachments

Great concept. But even when I have notifications "allowed" it won't send push notifications so I have to check in frequently to make sure the teacher hasn't messaged me or I'd miss their message. Which defeats the purpose...please fix. Also, once you scroll down, you can't scroll back up without "refreshing" the entire page.
This is a web app embedded in a native one. The UI is terribly broken. Posts on my newsfeed are a bunch of photos and text all overlapped. It's hard to read the teacher's notes like that. Sometimes it fixes after refreshing, but the overall experience is horrible.
Terrible App. There's always issues with loading Daily Logs or the pictures. Scrolling is always so sticky, you have to start scrolling down first and then scroll up for it to work. Does not feel like a Native App at all. Shame the app is in such a bad shape for so little functionalities it provides. I can probably build a better one in a weekend.
Not happy with this app, I wish my daycare would switch to another app. Most of the time (90%) I can't get to the daily logs. It will say there is a network error and to try again in a few minutes. About half of the time I don't notifications (pics as to what my child is doing), and more recently, the notification bar has all together disappeared 🙄😡. Yes, I've tripled checked that the app has been updatef✅, and yes I have tried refreshing the app ect. Nothing works. 👎👎
Having trouble seeing the news feed recently. We get the notifications, classroom news, daily newsletter, etc., but the newsfeed only shows older posts with an error message on top. Then if you refresh, the error goes away, but the new post you got the notification about isn't there. Closing and reopening the app lands on 'children's section, and 'newsfeed' isn't listed on the menu! Where did newsfeed go? Where is the newsletter I got the notification for?
Pictures always gets overlapped/cropped with texts, touch function is broken, never fully loads, can't see posts beyond 3 days. The most unusable app I have ever encountered, and the worst part is that the app admin doesn't even bother to fix these neverending issues. Unfortunately I have no other option than to request my Daycare to switch to a better app.
The latest update broke scrolling and display of the newsfeed. Worked fine before even though every time I opened it, it said could not connect. Once I hit ok it still loaded everything up. Now I can't scroll back up on the newsfeed without it refreshing every time. Also some text is displayed over or under pictures now.
Automatically signs you out, which is very unpractical when you want to be notified if someone else is signing your kid out. At least let the notifications continue. Security reasons is not logical for notifications. I saw a reply that a major update was coming in 2021. What happened?
Constantly uninstalling and reinstalling so I can enter billing information. I cant get Settings to open and cant get my accounts verified or add a card. So far, its awful, I have to uninstall and reinstall to make one tiny change. I'm on my 4th uninstall and reinstall and still cant get to the Settings page. Is ther an incompatibility with Android?!
Can't do key things in app like view calendar. Can't pay be echeck on app. Can pay partial balance on on phone app, but *can't* on desktop. When you try to enter a different number to oay on app, you have to enter amount in backwards. And can't input zeroes!
love the idea of the app, and options of the app, overall good to have and no cost/ads at all📢 it's not often I see all the sections filled out by my childs school specific to us,but perhaps it's just the times we're in or a limit on how many pictures teachers can post each news feed? Logs me out/crashes once a week,or so.. *option to attach pics in messaging and less bugs would bring review to 5 star
It's a decent app but it's missing the calendar function that is available through the parent portal. If it had the calendar available so I could take my child out of the program for the day I would rate much higher.
Very intuitive and simple to use app! love the newsfeed feature. Just make sure to check with your daycare first if they use the program because it doesn't work on its own.
The app is user friendly, and makes paying the tuition easier and faster. Great customer service; I contacted the developer with a question and received answer within minutes.
I was not aware that this type of app existed, to my surprise I found out the hard way, how people can be above and beyond evil, I'm not giving any positive rating to this app because when I ask for help to Google Play I had no response back a year or 2 gos by and I still find myself thinking what is really happening in my personal life my business, this app it helped achieve what they wanted I ended up in jail and hospital as well. Even today I'm still waiting on goggle play for help.
This app is terrible, their website is terrible too. They changed the format with no warning and it took my daycare provider and I 2+ hours to figure out why I wasn't seeing logs. If you're considering a childcare provider that uses this, put this app in your 'cons' list.
Logs me out and then has technical issues when I try to log back in. Really defeats the purpose of having direct communication with a provider if I can't receive notifications or messages.
I have not been able to view anything during the day ever since the update. Keep getting the error msg there was a problem with this request despite uninstalling and reinstalling the app several times
Got a new phone, downloaded the app on it and signed into my account. App works alright but I longer receive notifications from this app, my old phone still does but it no longer works. 🙃
As a parent and a teacher I don't find this app very user friendly. You can't comment on pictures posted and it always signs me out. Definitely not a fan of this app!
I love the intention of this app, but its so buggy. There's constant delay and overlap in the newsfeed.
Terrible. Can't even get the settings open up. The check in and check out doesn't work properly either- i don't even know if my child is in or not. Super glitchy.
It seems that the newest update does not support large photos in the newsfeed. The photos seem to be kind of cropped and small.
It says network error even after refreshing. The photos look horrible in this app. I don't get any notification unless I open the app. I'm hating this app so far. 😑
Was working fine, but, it of nowhere, it started constantly saying, "There was a problem making this request. Please try again in a few minutes." It's been great, until the last week.
It asks you to log in every time when you open the app! They must think their clients‘ time is worthless.

It is great for schools, but I can no longer see my daily logs. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. not sure what to do.
As soon as something is posted in the news feed, the daily log disappears
The concept is great, wanting to be updated daily about children's activities and pictures. But the App itself has a lot of issues loading the newsfeed and daily report. Thankfully the billing and messaging sections work so we can keep up to date on those. But I rely more on the email notifications so I don't have to open the app as much because of all the trouble loading.
