Forcing customers to use the app and not the website, you should add some basic features any normal banking app has. 1) the possibility to scan barcode to trasfer (überweisung) section. 2) a way to update/add templates (vorlagen) as we had it in website. 3) possibility to search in your history. Right now it's only possible to filter the date range.
The templates do not work: after selecting a template and the account from which to transfer the app stays hanging. When making transfers entering the data from scratch, it is impossible to enter IBANs that contain letters (like they exist in the Netherlands: e.g. ABNA and INGB) because the input keyboard switches to numbers only. These problems make the App pretty much useless in many situations. Annoying.
Don't recommend this app and this bank at all. It is not user friendly. You must accept more than 5 dialogs for a small money transfer. It doesn't make sense that you can't change your card's PIN code. You have to memorize every PIN code they give you... Sounds ridiculous!
So far, it is a good app with a minimalistic interface. I haven't used the app too much to give a comprehensive review.
It has all the basic banking functionalities like Money transfer, account balance, statements and also real-time transfer. Personal details changes like Phone number and address and Push Notifications are not available. Otherwise works like a charm!
The app SOMETIMES works. Clearly it is poorly designed and frequently crashes. Even when it does work the features available are minimal. You can't even get a history of your credit card transactions beyond a few weeks, or tag your general banking transactions in any meaningful way (like every other normal banking app has) What is clear is that Santander here in Germany invests the absolute bare minimum to produce a barely functional barebones app. This is pretty shameful for a world class bank.
Dysfunctional trash. Registration process is a nightmare. (Doesn't work at all if your default browser is Firefox. ) Signing process doesn't work 7 times out of 10. I'd fire the whole incompetent team of developers who are "working" on this app(s).
my device is ok but fingerprint does not work. every time it asks the password for loging in
The app is really weird!! the language of the app is both English and German. please make it fully English and fully German with a language choice for users. please fix it asap ! Also its mentioned that for student account we will get free flixbus ticket. But I have not received it at all.
Horrible as i need the app to be in English, And i cant believe that i asked for a English version and you answer me in Deutsch 😅😅
the absolute worst.This sign in app connection and interdependence with multiple passwords and weird connections is the worst I have ever experienced. this is the reason I will terminate my account with this place
Can you add a very simple but an extremely useful feature: when I scroll my history of transactions, the actual account balance changes accordingly? This can let me compare account balances at any random moments. I cannot make much sense of these monthly reports.
Everything looks good and works fine. It would be good to have the availability to change the language of the interface to English as well. thanks
Poor app. Tried to login but failed. Then my account is blocked. Kundenservice never answer the phone. Can't do anything. They answer email very slow, after 1 month i got negative response. Hate this bank
It's a perfect Banking App, for the past 6 month i didn't have any problem with the app and the service is 💯 percent good. I can send Money online without having problem
Very bare in terms of functionality. Notifications is smth that has to be supported to give spending alerts.
Doesn't work, cant log in and check balance. I am sure I will be charged though if I don't pay... :-(

On Galaxy S8 this App works just like it should with my German Santander account. Nothing to complain and everything works.
You can't do anything - can't set limits, can't block your card. I've been a customer of many banks and this one the worst.

The application is good, secure, and user friendly. However, there are several improvements we can do such as supporting English language as well in the Santander Germany app, as not all the account holders may understand German very well. So, if there is an option to switch the language of the application then it would be very helpful and more user friendly.
