The Sapphire is a wifi option, but my biggest problem is that half the time that I really need to use it, it won't connect. When it does work, it's a lifesaver, but it's incredibly unreliable. I can stay in the same place, in range of several cell towers, and go hours without a Sapphire connection. Completely unsatisfactory. Especially for the cost.

works, pretty good value. unable to change devices channel. makes it really difficult to use when in a congested area. no advanced options for the device either from this software or hardware based as far as the touch device. overall its a good value for the money and plan to use it even after kuwait. i think not having 200+ people around me using the same devices will help.

The prices for this device are absolutely TERRIBLE. And it's funny how the data mysteriously drains to the point that it doesn't even make sense. I can have the data saver option on for the device and metered connection on for my phone and eat through 15gb, with light to moderate use, in a single day. Nobody else is connected, this thing is such a scam. If you want a decent wifi puck, look locally wherever you're going to instead of making the same mistake I did.

App/ Product is so bad. Every other day it refuses to connect and recognize the data plan that I paid for. No amount of resyncing or power cycling can fix it and then randomly 3 hours later it will just go back to working. At the time of writing this, I just bought a new data package that the device recognizes I paid for, but still refuses to connect to the internet. I plan on returning the device and refunding the data I bought but can't even use. Absolute garbage, stay away from this company.

App works great without any issues. I don't understand the negative reviews from people. The convenience outweighs the costs! The prices are not even that bad for data plans. You can get a local sim when you get to your destination for cheaper data and keep the global data for emergency use only. I kept my SIM from Verizon and use the sapphire data for Wi-Fi calling. Verizon offers wifi calling which allows me to keep my USA number. It's awesome!

absolute garbage wifi the only reason I use it is because if pretty much the only one available. never stays connected, super slow, when it says it's connected it's really not. and the prices are effing ridiculous. I'm never using this again. honestly thinking about throughing my hotspot in the trash when I'm done with it just so no one else has to go through the struggle with this trash company.

Getting really tired of how often the wifi signal will just drop for no apparent reason. It'll say it's running between 50-80 mbps, but really it's lucky to get 1 mbps upload/download. Still have to pay for an international data plan because I can't count on this wifi to actually do it's job. Only reason I gave it a 2 star and not a 1 star is that I can atleast watch some YouTube/Netflix on it if I let the videos buffer for a little.

When it works it's amazing. You don't have to suspend your cell service and can rely on apps for communications back home. The only problem is when I say, "When it works." It doesn't work about half the time. I know I'm not in a dead zone because it will work in the same location one day, but not the next. If they can figure out this bug/range issues I would happily give 5 stars. Also, no I'm not using at peak hours.

Horrible service and coverage. They'll leave you stranded in a foreign country without any way to connect with help, as they only offer call or email support. You can't check if it's working until you're stranded. Switch to GoogleFi at a fraction of the cost and none of the bullsh*t

The sapphire device advertises: "No Contracts, No Roaming Fees", giving the impression you'll get free WiFi. That’s a lie. You have sign up, through the app, ironically, for a very expensive limited time contract to access the Internet with the device. Don't bother. Use your phone hotspot, or buy a coffee in a bar.

Easy app to use but that's were the goodies stop. Product will often act up and not work for no reason. And some of the deals are absolutely ridiculous paid around $50 thinking i was getting a decent data plan for 30 days but it was only a 3gb data plan, and it was in the reccomend data list but if you actually search a region you can find data plans for similar price with over 10x's the gb plan, and they're not in the reccomend list which i think this app should reccomend plan from your region

This product is very easy to use and overall I'm very pleased with it, particularly with the ease of using different plans in different countries as you travel. The only issue I have found is that the WiFi connection frequently cuts out for about 15-20 seconds before reconnecting which is frustrating when trying to make a call.

They gave me a refund. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive wifi service. The ability to buy data for almost any location on earth really makes this device a lifesaver. And it is very easy to use. Also, if you plan on staying somewhere a long time the sapphire T2 - which uses an esim card - has a slot for a sim card so you can buy a local sim card and put it in your sapphire. Worthwhile purchase.

I had left my mifi on all night at an "undisclosed" location and when i awoke, it couldn't connect at all. I sent an e-mail explaining my issue and within 20 minutes of the customer service's reply, I had a connection again. Pretty fast and reliable service!

This is a necessary evil for everyone who is deployed. They gouge you on data plans that don't roll over into the next month, the signal cuts out for no explainable reason, and they charge you hundreds for the device itself. If you have an international plan with your phone company, dint bother using this device.

App crashes a lot but is pretty easy to use when it works. Having an interruption of service can be annoying especially if you're working on something important and expect service.

Kob. C. May 24, 2021

Would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible connection, calls drop every 10 seconds. The wifi puck will lose connection every 10 seconds, paid for 80 gigabytes and can't even use all of them because I never have connection. Waste of money.

mic. c. Mar 14, 2021

You are paying for a serviece they do not provide. I thought I'd get the puck with 8gb of data for 30 days and see how long it will last. I have 4 days left and I have barley managed to use 100mb. There is no service anywhere. The puck will show its connected to something on occasion, but theres no internet. I work between 3 cell towers this company supposedly uses and still nothing. Want so send a quick message? Just mail a letter, it will arrive faster.

A. G. u. Oct 6, 2018

Had an issue connecting for hours. I emailes support and they were able to resolve my issue very fast. So far it has been pretty good for what I need it with the exception that it drops offline pretty often.

This company has no problem taking your money. They offer nothing but frustration in return. I cant even do a Google search. Dont bother doing school work. I have to drop my class because I cant do research for my paper. Its slower than dial up! if you are going to Kuwait, get a local chip. Cost less and you get WAY more data...that actually works! By the time I get off work, I can't even place an internet call because there is NO bandwith. I can't even do a speed test! It won't open on my cell!

The app works fine. It has trackers built into it though. These 4 are some that I see: Tencent stats, Umeng analytics, a couple from Alibaba and also WeChat location. This app/isp is probably snooping through your traffic and mining your data for Chinese companies to make money off of you while still charging you for the wifi. This service is heavily advertised for military people, and has Chinese trackers on it...🤔🤨🧐 You should consider a VPN when using this and treat is as public wifi.

A. G. u. Apr 3, 2019

For approximately 5 to 15 days every month the app tells me the sapphire needs to update and the app closes itself. In the meantime, the days I paid for keep counting down. The "update" which does not improve service or do anything useful eats all of the data I paid for. The website and help desk just tell me how bad other things are so I should get their product. I'm currently looking into alternatives for wifi.

Mit. M. Jan 3, 2021

Sometimes it's okay - usually sucks. Only use this for texting /calling over wifi. Forget about streaming anything. Not sure why they even offer such high data plans. Cuts in /out, slow to stream. Very upset I paid $200 for this

Rya. D. May 30, 2020

I hope the military gets a new contract out for data services. By far the worst service provider i ever had to deal with. Where i am its either Sapphire for $50 for 20gb or same companies wifi for $55/mo for speeds up to 700kbps. That sounds like a cheap military contract that passed the cost onto the consumer. And since i been here at my location, in the past week i had maybe 6 hours it was working. I got a baby being born any day and i cant rely on a service i pay for when i need it most.

A. G. u. Jul 9, 2019

This issue was resolved by Layne in customer service department. App now working properly. New update broke my account. I cannot access my account using the new app. I can still access it online but the same username and password will not get to my account with the app.

complete trash the GB are way overpriced and they keep raising it, the connection sucks you cant connect to the puck 99 percent of the time and your wasting your money, the gb dont carryover I've traveled all around the world and this thing is by far the worst pos ever. there are better options out there people

A. G. u. Apr 16, 2020

If I pay for a product I expect that product to work at least the majority of the time as it is intended to. With this product only working about 1/3 of the time, even when the puck says it has full signal, it seems to be a real rip off.

A. G. u. Dec 30, 2019

Dont bother buying packages or putting money on your account, they liked to randomly wipe and data you bought or money you have on your account down to 0. Had ot happen. Multiple times, had 12 gigs and 20 bucks in the wallet then just nothing at all. Your better off using orange or some other provider instead of these thieves

A. G. u. Nov 22, 2018

Before this recent update it was just fine; I could navigate with just the app. Now with this unnecessary link to this other website...it says I dont have any data...even though on the app i clearly do, and the puck still has bars...this update put this app backwards

Waste of money. Services cut in and out all the time and often won't even connect to a network. Money pit because you pay by the hour/day so if you don't use all the data you paid for in the alotted time frame you lose it. Great business for them but not for you.
