Works OK in note 3, not super accurate but good enough to give an idea about the satellite direction
4 of us have tried this and cannot get a clear alignment. One moment it says you have it perfect then it's as if the satellite moved 40° in the other direction. After multiple attempts over several weeks and different handsets I give up. Gs2
Although I could not find an option for the satellite I was looking for, I put this app in camera mode and used it to zero in on an object on the ground I could aim towards. I had tried for an hour to get a signal prior, and found one within a few minutes after. This app saved me tons of headache.
Nice idea, but in practice was way out and became even more so with the phone's proximity to the dish. Ended up using the shout technique instead
Never could get this app to work, had to use a friends finder. Droid x. Instructions are not good enough.
Doesn't work with the hero for Sprint. Always freezes and force closes. Waste of money don't buy
Has been force closing every time I use it. I need this to work for my work. EVO. Quick response hopefully we get it working again.
Either needs more work or the instructions are not good. Spent 3 hours with this and no luck but 10mins with cheap Sat Beeper and I was spot on.
Works perfect on sony x10, put the right offsets in if your looking at the ground, only down fall, couldn't use at sea with no network coverage
Once I got the settings set correctly elevation is good in both camera & non camera modes. Skew isnt correct.
Always ended up pointing me to the ground. The satellites I'm interested in are in the sky, software does not agree. Zero response on support. AVOID
Inaccurate for southern hemisphere. Elevation and LNB skew completely wrong like Satfinder.
Good app help a lot. Show to the customers the Sattelite position and show the no line of site issues
I cut down trees where this stupid app said where there satellite should be. I cut trees down I shouldn't have. So mad at this app. I hate this app!
Doesn't seem to work for me in Southern New Mexico. I'm pretty sure Echostar 119 isn't under ground.
Not really worth the money. Had to use "Satellite director" to sort out my dish
Not great but it worked a bit with my mini sat system and a compass
Doesn't make any sense regarding horizontal tilt in the UK trying to find astra. Please fix!!
This is the greatest app! I have been using it for several months. The camera feature lets me find the gaps through trees while camping. Awesome!
Works great. I've used this all over the world on droid and droid pro as a satellite communications instructor.
Too difficult to use. Hard to align on HTC Hero.
Force closes on camera setting, doesn't work
Not user friendly but works.
Amazing application and easy ro use which mean you don't need any Ingeniour any more
It has A problem with my new NEXUS S. The elevation value is stuck. WOULD YOU FIX IT FOR Nexus S users?
How about auto save pictures in next update great app love it
This app saves my life i point satellites as part of my job and as long as you set this up right its awesome
This is a great app that does the job. I use it primarily to get the pointing angles and then do my actual aligning with a compass and an inclinometer. If I calibrate the phone compass then the 'Use Camera' option is more reliable. However I generally don't trust the compass in any smartphone and always have a real compass nearby. That said, this app is a great tool for checking the elevation to determine if I'm going to be able to clear an obstacle. The 'Invert Elevation Measurement' and 'Elevation Offset' can be a bit tricky to set. I saw one reviewer who said this app always has him point to the ground, so he gave a low rating. The app works, you just have to go into the settings and tweak a little bit. I have used this app on 3-4 models of phones and all over the world. Many of the pointing apps in the Play store only give the True Azimuth. This app gives the True Azimuth, but also the Magnetic Azimuth. If you point satellite dishes this is the only pointing tool you need.
