SatFinder Android takes what was once a rather complex technical job requiring a knowledge of ZIP codes, city and state names, or geograhic positions, plus a hand bearing compass and an inclinometer, and collapses it into an easy-to-use Android application that locates itself, finds your satellite, and then tells you where it is by pointing to it.

Found this a few years ago. Sure helped a few times.

Not working in India
I like it ,but I could not get it to show the satellites.I got a 4.3 android,does that have anything to do with it?
4 stars for features...Some issues exist ( horizontal camera does align but everything is upside down and move is backwards compared to view) but +1 star for gpl.

No instructions on setting level. Is phone held horizontal or vertical?
Helps me to find phone signal in the most precarious spots :)
Good app as previously rated gives a coarse guide then your able to fine tune
Can be used as a coarse reference for satellite receiver pointing.

It's not perfect, but it works very well, and it made the task of finding a place in my yard to move my DirecTV satellite dish to very easy. I could see just where it needed to be so it would not be blocked by the tops of any trees. Much of the sky view depends on the quality of your phone, and my phone, being a cheap Tracfone, isn't great, but it was good enough to get the job done. I would definitely recommend this to others.
