Saturn.emu Free

Over clocked nexus 7 and with some tweaking it is OK but sound buffer still underruns and the game is still slow. Notice it is not utilising all 4 cores either so can't help thinking multi-core support from the emu would bump up the performance.

I had a play of sonic r the other day and it worked fine albeit unplayable with too many gfx glitches now wanting to try and use it again for some weird reason no ROMs that I have work now... It just uselessly says unable to load ROM/iso/file

It's almost there. I'm not sure if the emulator could be tweaked to run full speed or if we just need a more power X1 chip in the future. Either way it seems like most of the frame work is in place and I like what I see so far.

Reading reviews. Perfectly expected for slow running... cept that it won't read my rom on my galaxy note 4. Maybe cause its a rar file but it came from coolroms which stated it's compatible so idk what to do. Someone help me out please

Please people read the description before leaving a negative comment, even on high end pc's that cost thousands the saturn has problems running so you can't expect it to run full speed on an android phone, keep up the good work and we are eagerly awaiting any updates or new versions :).

This emulator is useless I tried to download Sonic R it failed 8 times I thought there was somthing wrong but no its this dumb emulator uhh.. I guess I'll use my gamecube sonic gems collection instead. T_T I mean yes so far the emulators work except this one. And I forgot to mention I'm deleting this app off my phone until you guys fix the problem or make a new update.

With respect, you may not know how difficult emulation for the Sega Saturn has proven to be on ANY device, even top line PC rigs. Saturn, unlike PS1, had a reputation for being a remarkably exotic console and difficult to develop games for, which must make developing an Android app, keeping it light in size, a hellish task. The "name.emu" apps are some of the most consistently efficient emus on Android. Stick with it, as app-builds and android devices improve, they'll get there.

It works for me great. But everyone, read the description next time. It says not every game is compatible! And no, it doesn't steal your credit card info. People are saying that to get people to not download it. I checked and there's nothing bad in it.

I'm running this on an Asus Transformer TF300T with android 4.2.1 and the app is having issues where when I try to load a save state it closes the emulator. Has anyone else had this issue and is there a solution to it? Also I have not found a good Bios file to use with this emulator I'd love to know where to get one. Overall VERY happy with this emulator otherwise it runs a little sluggishly for me but I'm very glad to be able to play Dragon Force again.

sonic r was laggy and glitchy. I understand that the sega saturn was hard to program for so therefore hard to emulate especially on a mobile device but it doesn't seem as though the developers are even working on the app considering It hasn't been updated since 2013

uoYabause works just fine on Android smartphones. I have no problems on my nexus 5. The only issue I have with it is the crappy key mapping and lack of save state management. Saturn. Emu has good tools and is similar to GBA.emu in terms of control, but it is a sad pos, when it comes to emulating games at a playable rate. Get cracking dev team, you're doing something wrong if another app works just fine with a Yabause back end

Work seems to have all but stalled on this project. A pity because Sega Saturn has many great games. But it was fun while it lasted. Saturn emulation sparked hope and nostalgia to fans of Dragon Force even before they were a band, but as of this time, an Android port seems to be years away. Please don't give up the dream, guys. Here, have my five stars.

But its way too choppy and it refuses to play at all... it freezes up almost immediately and youre lucky if you even get to the start menu. Poor performance at best. Not even worth downloading.

Running this on an S5, it's such a trip to be able to play games I loved as a kid anywhere I want, whenever I want. This app works really well for me, the lag is only noticeable when the sound is turned up. Considering I was worried I wouldn't be able to play my favorite game at all, ever again (Panzer Dragoon Saga) since I lost my original discs and don't really want to shell out $400 for a new set, this app is a dream come true. Shame that some people can't stop to read the description.

There is a working Dreamcast emulator that runs perfectly smooth and this is a laggy mess. The Dreamcast is 128 bits and hella more advanced than Saturn. If this has been made, why can't you make this emulator run smooth? Come on, it isn't PS4, it's an old 32 bit console. I gotta give it stars for it actually working, great work so far, but it has to improve. I UNDERSTAND the console is hard to program for, but with today's hardware it shouldn't be a big problem. I'm not a hater, I'm just a bit disappointed

Im having a hard time playing my shining force 3... Its saying file not compatible with plat form after loadng the Saturn logo... Can any one help me.

I love the saturn. I love dragon force. I love albert odessy. These games are playable the way the emu works at the moment but you really have to love it to get any enjoyment out of it in its current state. PLEASE TRY YOUR HARDEST TO FIX THIS. I LOVE YOU BUT YOUR KILLING ME. Thank you.

This is a great emulator but the unfortunate thing, other than the Saturn being difficult to program for, is that there are so many negative reviews here from ignorant people. Just because the Saturn is an old system with slow specs and that a ps1 emulator runs perfectly fine doesn't mean anything. The hardware architecture is completely different and even the Saturn emulators for the PC ran into problems early on. Do not even bother downloading this if you are expecting 100% accurate emulation or if you are going to leave a negative review because whatever game you want to play doesn't work or runs slow. This is a free application that is a work in progress and we should be glad that we have the chance to try it out. Also... Reading the description of the application you are downloading before you scurry back to leave a hateful negative review would help a lot of you.

yeah its working too choppy. Even I have quadcore 1.2ghz and 1 Gig RAM. Please develop the app.

Galaxy Note 3. I don't think this app will get the love it needs. Was really looking forward to playing Shining Force 3 on my phone. This emulator will play every game I've loaded but they're not playable. Runs at about 3 fps

I hope the dev keeps on supporting this project. id so love to play Die hard arcade agin in memory of my uncle.

I heard the original dev passed this project to the dev of mupen64ae, so hopefully we will see new versions soon.

Please please fix this. Dragon force is the coolesr game ever. I cant even pick a clan with out it freezing on me.

I had faith in u v andriod all of them work but not this the roms i try so had to get is sonic jam a game i seen but never played ex sonic 123/sonic and kux just sonic world and others soo sad i hope it dosrnt stay like this

Okay I am testing this on two devices one is the DooGee Dagger (antutu score in the 31000) and a laptop with android X86 (score in the 54000 both are opengl es 2.0 compliant.) The phone slow and choppy. The laptop plays well on most games though there are some games that are still slow. Going to try the allwinner A80 optimusboard (scores in the 68k ~70k plus have opengl es 3.0 compliance) so hopefully it'll play at full speed on all my games. The emulator is good, but your device needs to be ultra fast.

Only emulator for android, slow speed, bugs BUT, that's how the PC emu started. Has great potential. Remember to download BIOS.

The price is good, but it needs Not a controller support. Ill update it to 5 stars once that happens. There is slow down on some games, but with work, the emu will just get better.

Game compatibility is limited. And some games have some glitches
