Say No To 0870
What this app does is allow you to search for an alternative inclusive or geographic rate 01, 02 or 03 number or a free 080 number by typing in either the company name or the 084 or 087 number.
Some companies have multiple numbers. These will be listed below the search area. If the numbers have a black background then they have come from the verified section of the database. If the background is blue then the number has not been verified.
The numbers are displayed in four boxes as follows:
Top left is the 087 number (these are charged as Access Charge plus Service Charge)
Bottom left is the 084 number (these are charged as Access Charge plus Service Charge)
Top right number is the 01, 02 or 03 number (these count towards inclusive allowances, else charged at 'geographic rate')
Bottom right is the 080 number (these are free from landlines and from mobiles)
To use the app, simply type the company name or number and click the magnifying glass. Data will then be recovered from the server and displayed in the list below the search area.
You can scroll up and down the list. If you click (touch) an item, it will then bring up the numbers you can call, just select your desired number and your mobile will call.
There is another box underneath the phone numbers. This contains other relevant information or additional numbers.

* *A few people have complained about the app showing ads:
To remove ads (stop ads from showing), press the menu button on your android device and then select settings (the tools icon), on the settings page select the check box to disable ads. This will then not show any more ads.
I agree ads can be annoying but apps take time, efforts and some money to create and maintain, i have given the ability to remove ads, but it is the only way to make a small (and i mean small) amount and give it for free. If people have a better way of supporting continued and new development please email with your suggestions.

Only had a premium rate number but found an 0800 one to use. Kept me waiting in 3 different cues for 20+ minutes, which would normally have cost a fortune. If that's the only number I can ever find on hereI would still be happy with this app.
Most numbers searched for, to find an inclusive (non-chargeable number in my priceplan/home phone) or freephone number, has been found. This has saved me loads of costs in phone calls. Ok so not all numbers are found, but just look at the savings when they are. For example, have just been on the phone for 114 minutes😐, most of the time put on hold! It would have been an 0871 number but thanks to this app it saved me so much! Thank you for this super app!
Quick and accurate. So far succeeded where others have failed for me. Just one thing otherwise straight 5 stars it would have been, and that is to ask to widen the gaps between lines to insert name of company or number. Otherwise, very good app.
Found quite a few numbers and saved alot of money as one number was an 0844 and I was on the call just over two hours just that one.call alone! Think it's best to search by number as sometimes doesn't find the companies via search. Overall a good app and saves money to call companies on your phone.
I keep having to reinstall it 😠 Every so often, though the frequency has decreased recently, I'll go to the app icon & it's greyed out, with a default Android icon in its place, so I have to go back to the Play Store & reinstall it. Other than that, it's fine but I've been using it for years online, so there was never any dispute there 😉
Great app just have used i need to call for holiday agent phone no begins 0871(45P/min) have entered that no. And app give alternative phone 0344 witch is free of charge on contract mobiles spend on phone 48 min and totaly cost nothing. Great thanx for developer
When I first installed I was skeptical but tried the first random number of 08444 number - of a tiny PC parts company in Manchester - I was so surprised that app found a set of numbers one of which is a ntiinal number! This is hopeful., will update few months later...for now this is excellent app!!!!
This app has proved useful in providing 0800 or 01, 02, 03 numbers so many times. More successful results than unsuccessful. I urge users to update though when numbers are no longer working - and add any new ones they find.
Let's face it. Mobile phone companies are colluding with the likes of BT to rip us off. An 0800 number should be free - companies pay for these so you have no barriers to calling them, but it isn't a benefit passed on to mobile users. This tool is a way to cope in a rip off world. I wish it wasn't needed, but until our regulators and politicians do something useful, I raise my heart to you and say thank you.
This is a great app, for most businesses, I would recommend it my friends and family.

Uses the "Say No to 0870" website database - so data pretty good. Interface ok, but not great. It would be more useful if it remember your past search results.
Finish number I tried, not in the data base. Company I tried same answer so it appears only as good as the data people supply. Pointless
Really handy just copy and paste the 0845 num in their system and most of the time you get a cheaper alternative number :-D
Before displaying search results an ad pops up. I close the ad and the result is gone and I have to search again, which is pointless because the same thing happens again.
Screen just goes blank when number not recognised. When list of alternatives are supplied, they highlight as you scroll down.
Can be really useful this, saving both time and crucially, money. Ability to save numbers also gets the thumbs up. If you ever have to ring the ridiculously expensive premium numbers, then download and you won't be disappointed.
Main criticism is look and feel is a bit basic. But it's free and works exactly same as website in terms of results... Remember to check to show unverified numbers for best results...
I have used this app on my huawei ascend y300 and no doubt its a great app. I found it always very helpful and saved money to call direct on land lines. So i give it 5 star.

I'm so glad this is an app. On first screen put in the telephone number you have or the company name, press Go and if there is an alternative cheaper number it is displayed. Great to get around money - grabbing numbers.

Fantastic. Rarely fails and saves so much money when making calls. 0845 and 0870 numbers really annoy me.
Since my latest rating, have again had landline number options, and actively sought to pass this app. on to friends and acquaintances whenever the opportunity presents itself. WHY? on top of profits that Companies make, should we subsidise their overheads? NO!!! Used it twice... Found 1 landline, second time unable to do so. The second search could not be found by other 'SAY NO' applications either. Will recommend it to others.

I was on hold on a premium rate number for 13 minutes, then I found this app, I got 2 different landline numbers (I get unlimited free calls to landline numbers) and I wasn't even on hold for a minute till I reached the right department, havle the app's on mobiles are useless, but I'll never uninstall this app
Not initially impressed, great idea bit had problems finding numbers I require in its database, if all you get back is not known in database the app is useless. However have now got a number, perhaps an indication that the search of database is continuing rather than prematurely indicating it's failed would be helpful
