In summary, the app provides information on crimes in Hartford, a safe and simple way to anonymously report crime, and easy access to hotlines and links provided by the police department. The main purpose of the app is to allow citizens to report crime directly to the police, without getting directly involved through the option of remaining anonymous. The following summer, the app was brought to the Mobile Apps for Hartford program at Trinity College, and was redeveloped and redesigned complete with new features and a new layout.

The intent of this app is fantastic. Unfortunately, it isn't being maintained and its current implementation is a disaster. I had to uninstall the app from my Galaxy Note 8 because it kept crashing every five minutes, which interfered with my phone's usage and performance. If the app is updated (it hasn't been updated in over a year) and the performance issues are resolved, I'll gladly give it another chance. We definitely need to make it easier to be more involved as citizens, and apps like this can do that, if they function correctly.
