It no longer tells you what your balance is after each item. Instead you just have a single current balance & available balance. Available balance is really wonky especially if you make a lot of online purchases. I've had it say $50 was missing from available balance, then it takes almost a week for it to reappear. All the while im stressing, thinking I've missed a purchase. I now have to use my computer to check my balance. Very inconvenient and will be looking for a new bank soon.
Every time I try to check balances, I'm forced to authenticate. EVERY. TIME. No other app does this. I can appreciate app security but this is ridiculous. Remember my device. I've used it for years. I've had another banking app, and they do periodic checks. Time, or if I am suddenly out of town. This app? 24 hours, manual log in. One of the many reasons on a rather long list I plan on dropping them. Also, the balances are never accurate.
I do not like the new platform. I liked seeing the running total on the old account summary. Also, the new summary does not show the check numbers people have cashed so I have to go to "view image" & then when I choose go back it takes me back to where I have to choose the account & then scroll back to where I left off. I have been with Sunflower bank for 16 years & this is by far the worse change that has ever been made! The old system was nice & worked fine. The updated system sucks!
It's fine and has a pretty basic layout. At least it let's you login with a fingerprint if your smart phone has a fingerprint scanner. It could use some useful features such as a notifications for purchases and fraud alerts. It's pretty bland looking so some cosmetic updates would probably be good as well.
Bad app, bad website. 90% of the times I try to log in it stays on the loading screen. If you accidentally put in an incorrect password it makes you change it to one you've never used before... Which just makes it easier to forget and get locked out again.
They finally got the bugs worked out of the old app and they switched now the new app is pretty good... unless you want to mobile deposit a check. It literally just took me 20 tries to get it to accept my deposit (from my own account at that). I have no problem with the bank in general but I would like to be able to put money in without a fiasco.
New app loads my information very slow. Sometimes I have pending transactions in there for days. I feel like I never have an accurate balance. I also don't like that i can't see a total as money was deducted. Old website had this feature. Wish we could op out of this new platform. I don't like it at all.
Deposited check and it never got in. Your whole new system is more difficult. Less user friendly. Whoever designed the large blue dividers and column delineators doesn't know anything about how people's visual recgnition works. All you see are big, bold blue and nothing else. Transfers don't happen from savings to reg checking right away. You have to wait 2 days or more until you see it in your acct even though the bank has my savings there. New system sucks. Old worked great!
I have always had some issues but it would still work for the most part. I used the app a couple of days ago and it was fine, went to log in this morning and as soon as I open the app it says application not supported. I decided to do the update and it said the same thing afterwards and then I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it is still telling me application not supported.
The most unhelpful contrary overprotective paranoid app I have ever used. Every time I log in I have to go through a password reset it refuses to recognize Google autofill and locks me out. Even if I fill everything in myself I have to call customer service because it's locked me out. For an app that is supposed to help make my banking easier it's actually made everything twice as hard.
The app is functional, and completes all the tasks that i need. They have improved this app 100% from where it started out from. The only negative that i have is that it still feels cramped and awkward
The app is net fun to use. Almost eventide I sign in I have to do the extra security text message...make me question your security measures on the first place. The information is slow to post..the old app I could make a purchase then immediately login to see it was already in the system..now I make a purchase and two tays later it still doesn't show...come on...you can do better...also the checks I've written take so long to post I ended up sending a duplicate payment thinking it go lost in mai
It's a pain to log into and always tells me to call customer care, even after trouble shooting. If I ever get in, then I have to get a text message to confirm it's me, which I appreciate the safety measure, but I can't minimize the screen to open the text to get the code or else I have to completely start the process over. The balance isn't accurate or updated very frequently. I get more accurate information when logging onto the computer or calling the automated Sunflower Customer Care line.
After the "upgrade" I can no longer log into my accounts via the app. Deleted and downloaded again, error message "This application is not supported." Customer service is hard to get ahold of, they told me I downloaded incorrect app. There is only 1! Glitchy and unreliable
I use the app everyday, checking my balance and transferring money from various accounts. I like how I can see my credit score and also using the card control every time I make a purchase. The transaction amount shows instantly when I use card control. Just a FYI, if you transfer the entire balance from checking to a savings account, it temporarily suspends the checking account; I was told by customer service to leave a penny when the direct deposit comes through.
Horrible! I've been with Sunflower Bank for over 10 years. Their new app is horrible. Every time I want to log in from my phone I have to go through several security questions to verify my identity as if I'm logging into the IRS or my Social Security account. EVERYTIME! It won't save my phone's IP address or whatever to know that it's me it's not a different person logging in every time it I don't get it. Oh and that's even if it'll let me log in sometimes it just sits there and buffers.
It makes me sign in 3 times before it logs me in everytime! Or it tells me I've attempted to many times and locks me out, it freezes up on my screen, it tells me failed username when I have it saved on the sign in screen so many other problems if i didn't need this app I wouldn't use it!!!
It still gets the job done I guess, but the old app was far more simple. They unfortunately took the auto capture off mobile check deposit page, so now it takes 10 min to deposit a check. They tried doing to much, its just banking app. Not worth being down for a weekend in my opinion.
It works okay! Let's me log in. Need to use it in order to get the SBNA card control app I need to reconcile to the available balance in this app. That was confusing at first. I've not used this app yet for depositing a check yet but it seems like the typical check depositing operation for mobile units. Since I use a debit card it is essential to use the card control app in order to keep the available balance reconciled.
I liked the old app better this new one doesn't show your current pending transactions like the other one did. It always showed when you had a withdrawal too match your current and available balances, this new app doesn't do that. It seems like it's a day late.
I didn't have problems with the previous app. Once I cleared the learning curve of this new app, I like it. It seems more like a visual improvement over the previous app, although there are subtle improvements.
It keeps poping up in the most inconsistent times to tell me that it logged me out. Its the most inconvenience app of all time, and it makes me want to go to a different bank because the app is one of the worst i have ever used.
App moves a little slower than I would like and requires me to verify via text code every few days even though I have a fingerprint registered. Otherwise, the app is aesthetically pleasing but I do prefer the functionality of the old app.
This app is garbage on Android. Worked fine on ios but on my new note 20 the app rarely works correctly and force closes a lot. Update. This app is still garbage. Even after the big update. Frequently wants to authenticate and always takes forever to load in and says error a lot.
Like any other app, the new version takes some getting used to and is a little more complicated but it seems to work so far. Give it a few weeks to iron out all the kinks and if it works without crashing every other day it'll be an improvement.
In the past month I have had to uninstall and reinstall due to it crashing. When it decides to work right it's a good app but this crashing needs to be fixed. So inconvenient.
LG Tribute HD phone, android version 6.0.1. Installed (update) then removed and reinstalled. Same thing; an error has occured try again or contact customer service. Previous app worked fine, this one does nothing. Have to use browser/website for access.
Terrible, the app is not up to date and I was almost unsure if this was a fake app. It looks very old and there are not very many options to do anyting or view anything at all. I am new with this bank and I am very disappointed in the app and due to this it makes me feel uneasy about banking with this company.
New platform will not let me log in despite being able to log in using Chrome. Just gives me an error message and I've already called about it and no one can help me run the app. I check my accounts multiple times a day. I don't know what kind of bug it is but it needs fixing.
Very antiquated and outdated interface, lacks lots of features that other banking apps have, and tends to crash quite often after being installed for extended periods of time. It gets the job done though, albeit roughly. The only modern feature this app has (and the only reason it gets higher than a 1* rating) is the Biometrics (fingerprint) login.
