Scan - QR and Barcode Reader
To scan a QR code or barcode simply open the app, point the camera at the code, and you’re done! There is no need to take a photo or press a button. Scan will automatically recognize any code your camera is pointing at.
When scanning a QR code, if the code contains a website URL, you will automatically be taken to the site. If the code just contains text, you'll immediately see it. For other formats such as phone numbers, email addresses, or contact info, you will be prompted to take the appropriate action.
PRODUCT BARCODES
Scan recognizes all of the popular barcode types (UPC, EAN, and ISBN) and shows you pricing, reviews, and more about any products you scan. Barcode scanning requires a newer device in order to work reliably. Cameras on older devices do not provide the resolution or focus required for barcode scanning.

I assumed that paying for this app and also seeing the recommendation from Lifewire that it would be a good scanning app. But unfortunately it can not scan much. Other Ad supported apps work better.
I have enjoyed this app for years. Until recently it performed flawlessly. After last android update it began to have some issues. I'm looking for a replacement at present.
Grate application and easy to use. But one thing I noticed that this app not able to read qr code for gallery. When I pick a qr code from gallery this app give me an error msg i.e. sorry, we could not detect qr code. Please fix this...
Worked great for years now having issues maybe Android 10 related. I think Scan has been abandoned
It is abandoned, untouched since 2016. Pretty sure I paid for this. No trace of developer.
It doesn't scan anymore. My phone is an Android S-9
Update the app for latest Android version getting warning that app developed for old version of Android.

I used this a good number of times before I purchased the upgrade and it was flawless and worked great that's why I bought the upgraded version. But after I purchased the upgrade and installed it I can't get it to read anything. Even the ones that it read easily before the upgrade are unreadable now. I sent several emails to their website to see if I could get it working right but I have never received a response from them. And there ya go.
App's decent. Does QR and Barcodes if your camera can focus. Tho i wish there was better control on focus. Also i hate that if i scan something i cant easily put the number in my clipboard to post in my nite app. I have to allow it to open in the browser first then trudge thru the history. Hell it would be nice to write optional notes in the app or even tbe pic
The scanner which was preinstalled on my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone did not work at all. This scanner has a much higher success rate when it comes to actually scanning an item. Unfortunately the success rate is about 50% when it comes to identifying details about the item (i.e. where to buy it, price, etc.). That being said, the app is free so I cannot complain. Thank you! :) xo
This app is an important part of my workflow. It recognises faster and more reliably than the others I've tried. The most recent version update has removed the 'download history' option. This breaks my workflow because I relied on the csv to provide the time that each code was scanned. Is this functionality still in the app? If not, is it possible to get an APK of the previous version from somewhere?
ShopAdvisor, the site where this app would send you to to see product details, has shut down this part of their website. This is not a problem on Scan's end, so this will not affect my review. This just a note.
History results are primitive just numbers. No customization for opening up barcodes. This app is so unpolished it's a joke.
Scans nicely, but that doesn't matter much if the link to the description doesn't work. I don't mind paying for it, as I have enjoyed their free QR reader for years, but I'm going to have to find another scanner app that works.
The app is completely useless now because the shopadvisor app that shows all the info after the scan no longer exists.
This app never seems to recognize any codes. Continuously returns "web page not found".
Doesn't work. After scanning barcode I get a blank website with a chrome error code.
This app doesn't work on my phone. Items do scan but nothing works afterwards. Please refund so that I can remove this negative post.
I have scanned multiple items and get the same error code. Not happy with the results. This site cannot be reached is all i get. Re installed and same issue
Disappointed. Try as I might, it would not scan bar codes or QR codes. If on the rare occasion it worked, it would not do so a second time on the same item. Finally I had to give up on it because so much time was lost to something that should be quite easy.
