Scan To Google Sheets

Google wasted my afternoon again. I found this app difficult to use, as others did camers comes on instantly. App started taking pictures before I focused on the barcode. After the third try, I finally got all of the barcode. However, App never loaded information to the sheet. Wasted a whole afternoon, searching all over google for help. Of course, I never found any help. Google failed me again.

This is very simple and easy to use! I like that it's tied directly to your Google account so you don't have to set the spreadsheet to be publicly editable by everyone, it makes it feel more secure. My main issues are that 1) it only scans to the very first column, and 2) if any of the cells in a row have something, it will skip to the next empty row or else add a brand new row. The second in particular is a major downside since we're looking to be able to scan barcodes into already partially-filled spreadsheets. If I may make a suggestion, it would be useful to be able to scan into whatever cell is currently selected rather than adding a new row. Both of these issues give me the impression that it's coded so that it automatically creates a row every time it scans, so I'm not sure how doable it would be to be able to focus on a cell and then move down to the next row. Other than that it's a great app!

Non intuitive. I had problems with configuration. There is no option to locate Google sheet. instead you have to enter details. I made a mistake. When I scanned a barcode, the app did not record an easily identifiable error or suggest home I might fix the error. When I closed the app and later tried to fix it, it did not open with an option to scan, it opened with the camera on. I found it difficult to find a way back to the settings. I am yet to find out exactly where I went wrong. If others are using it without problems, no doubt I will eventually get it right. Sorry, it may (or may not) eventually work for me but the lack of ease of use for an inexperienced end user makes it difficult to give a good review. The list indicates it can duplicate code. Why not have a scan now button instead of camera permanently on?

Very usefull. I was looking for a scan app that could merge data to a table for a long time. But storing the data into G. sheets was even better. Two suggestions though. 1. It would be nice to fill a second colum after each scan from a pick list to catagorize the data scanned or enter free Text 2. Also nice the possibility to switch between several Google Sheets? It be must possible to create the Google sheet within the app. Other apps I use can do that.

It is a GREAT APP and does exactly what the developer says it does and is a great tool to achieve a lot by integrating with the Google Sheets offering and opens a plethora of options to DIYer's of the world. I would like to give credit to the developer for offering this as a FREE service to folks who are less technically inclined and wish to achieve a lot with the Online equivalent (IF NOT THE BETTER) of the Mighty MS Excel i.e. Google Sheets and i for one have become a great proponent of the GREAT possibilities that Google Sheets affords to the Personal users who wish to achieve what the Corporate world normally pays to get. I wish there was a on/off switch for my custom columns . I'm using two different modes , one where I am quickly scanning empty bottles at recycle collection , and an inventory mode where it prompt for count and supplies a status tag . I have to delete those custom columns instead of just disable

It help my work and make it more efficiently. I am using the google sheets scanning feature so that the physical copy will be able to turn into softcopy more easily. With a simple clicks of button all this work can happen fast.

It took me downloading 3 apps before I found this app. I just want to say that I love it. It's exactly what I need and it works great Thank You so much

This App is really worth 6 stars. It does everything it says and the developer has been most helpful with extra features. We use it to maintain a club attendance and payment system.

Easy to setup. Multiple users. Realtime. Scan Barcode/QR. Fast reading. Those what I need. At very first time, I was confused with what I should type for 'spreadsheet id' . Please mention it in app for new users. Thanks.

Would be perfect if i could prepend and append characters onto the barcode before sending to the sheet. I've got some barcodes that start with a '+', which google does not like.

App works great, please add an option to add photos with the barcodes and save it to Google sheets! You can make this a pro available only. I will definitely order if this comes.

Very app concept to import from many product to store to use in inventory while my barcode is broken so I can use my phone instead. The app save time alot.

Updating my review! It works perfectly! I will use it soon in bulk. One enhancement I could request is to send latitude longitude info on every scan. Great app after I worked out the kinks!

Very good. Issue I have is when using custom columns and entering numbers it's prepended with ' so it's not possible to have dynamic calculations.

Great app but changing the column where to put the next data does not work... It always goes back to the original column..

Don't down load I filled all information correctly and keeps giving sheet id and past history pay for pro app. Never even got a chance to use the service. Complete Scam.

Great app! Would be even better if you added the option to let the user pick which additional column(s) to paste to.

I miss duplicate remover or skip function. And i would love not to enter my google account, I can share the sheet privately & have the link with edit function enabled.
