• View scanners that are located nearest you, sorted by distance.
• View the top 50 scanners that have the most listeners (updated every 5 minutes).

• Browse the directory of scanners by location or genre (public safety, air traffic, weather, railroad, etc).
• Enable notifications to be notified when lots of people (such as over 3500, for example) are listening to any scanner (indicating that something big is happening). You can also be notified when scanners located near you (or specific scanners of your choosing) have more than a certain number of listeners.
• Add Scanner Radio Pro widgets and shortcuts to your home screen for quick access (app cannot be installed on SD card to access them).
• Add a "Scanner Radio Pro Favorite" shortcut to your home screen to launch a scanner feed via an alarm clock app or automation app.
• Listen to Broadcastify.com's audio archives to listen to audio that's been archived over the past 6 months. Note: You *must
* have an account on Broadcastify.com and purchase their "Premium Membership" ($15 for 6 months) in order to access their archives using the app. One use for this feature is to have a scanner feed begin playing when your phone connects to a specific Bluetooth device and then have it stop when the connection to that Bluetooth device is no longer present.
• Supports Android Auto.
In addition to the above features, you also get the following features with this version of the app:
• Access to all 6 theme colors (requires Android 5.x or 6.x).
• No ads.
• Push notifications sent within 5 minutes (vs within 15 minutes in the free version).
• The ability to record the audio.
• The play button at the top of the directory screens and on the widgets can be used to start listening without having to go to the player screen.
• With the "Scanner Radio Pro Locale PlgIn" plug-in is also installed you can have Locale/Tasker launch the app and have one of your Favorites automatically begin playing based on one or more conditions or have the app stop playing.
The audio is provided by volunteers (primarily for Broadcastify.com) using real scanner radios.

Explanation of why a couple of permissions are needed:
• The "Location" permission is required so that the app can determine what scanners are located in your area when you select "Nearby Scanners". When you select "Nearby Scanners" the app first attempts to determine your location via the network, if that fails the app then tries to determine your location via GPS.
• The "Photos/Media/Files" / "modify or delete the contents of your USB storage" permission is required in order for the app to support the ability for you to record the audio you're hearing and be able to save it to a location that you can access from your computer (requires Scanner Radio Pro to be installed or for you to be using Scanner Radio Pro).

Absolutely love this app. Its the craziest thing when youre mid-evading the police and you hear the description of the vehicle youre in broadcasted on the scanner. With this app and a little luck we left the area we were being sought in and successfully got away. Ill never do dirt without it ever again.
Honestly the free version is better than the paid for version the free one randomly stops every hour will not play in the background and is more slow and laggy I paid for this and I prefer to use the free version because it plays in the background it doesn't stop and besides one ad when you use the app it works fine
Its not bad at all but I hate that it cuts in & out some of the time so you can't hear all of it. Thanks. Mar 14, 2022 I'd like to know why there is a missing selection on the drop down area. It's the - no audio, unintelligible, etc. Do they actually get notified whenever anyone chooses the no audio selection? Hmm 🤔
Exceptional app.not sorry i went with PRO. thank you for the hard work you guys put in this app. It shows and i enjoy it after things went digital. I miss the old days of analog.but this is close as it wlll get now...thank you All.
I have been using this app for a very long time. It's alway reliable as long as the person that has there scanner has it turned on
This used to be my favorite app but the beta version kept failing so I uninstalled it and reinstalled the ad version, I should be able to get the pro non-ad version back without having to pay again. I had to drop my rating from 5 stars to 2 because of. The beta version flaws.
Great app for emergency (or routine) radio traffic, including your local i. User for 10+ years.
Is there a setting that will set off a alarm for certain areas when it get over so many listeners or something goes wrong?
UPDATE: Give one additional star at this time as the app has been working well after they fixed the alert issue. However, the most recent update has now removed the feed providers information url.
I really like the app, but I wanted to say the support is phenomenal. I had previously purchased the pro version on the Amazon appstore and contacted the developer because I couldn't locate it when I upgraded my device. They took care of me easily and quickly. I wish every developer was as helpful.
Finally decided to upgrade. Glad I did. Best scanner app out there, and has great support. Update: I now occasionally have problems with the app telling me I have disconnected from WiFi, even when I haven't. Do not have a solution for this problem.
only pro version app I've ever bought. worth every penny for ability to record, recieve alerts, etc. going to buy broadcastify membership for archive access
Paid for this app, but it makes my phone lock up, and sends me to the lock screen every time I I use it. Makes it completely unusable. Regret buying pro.
The equalizer does a good job of cleaning up audio, very useful on devices without high quality speakers. Fortunately there's a reliable feed for the P25 phase II system in my area. Definitely beats buying a scanner that will become a $700.00 paperweight when the local police decide to go encrypted.
Pretty darn good! I suppose there are flaws somewhere but I havent found them, just one Tracker from Verizon. (Blocked by the Duck). I really like this app. The best that I have found since this type started coming out.

Important Information: Couldn't get update to work/install on Android 12. Worked on Android 7 though. Download at Galaxy Store worked as it should. Bought this several years ago and am very pleased with the fast response and support from the app developer.
just an observation. at least 90% of what people gripe about is them being confused about something clearly covered in the apps description. I'm surprised anyone makes apps honestly. and on people bitching about paying for ANY app. the only thing the developer owes you extra is NO ADS. that's it. a bunch of you entitled twits, probably mostly from my country (USA), thinks the world owes you something. it's always about you. it doesn't, and it's not. people work = people get paid.

It is supposed to be better than the one that is actually free but it's delayed & just isn't as I thought it would be thumbs down for me
It's a simple app, which is exactly what I think a scanner app should be. Does what it claims (largely without any errors or bugs), and the paid app is totally worth it.
I enjoy listening to all the calls that come thru the scanner.
I tried the free version of this app for many, many hours and it was GREAT! I upgraded to Pro (since it is such a good price), and all of a sudden--I don't hear much of anything, on any channel. I have gone into every possible setting, checked for updates, and restarted everything, numerous times, and no improvement. I hope this review shows to be wrong, I'm so bummed about it. For now, save your money and storage space...it's only been white noise.
Great app. My only suggestion for improvement would have to do with the audio archives. It would be nice to have a fast forward and reverse button, like 30 sec advance, 15 sec reverse or something similar. It's very difficult to focus in on a specific time area with just your finger. Also being able to pause during archive playback without it returning to the start when you hit play again would be nice. Overall though a decent app.
I've been using this scanner for 4+ years and liked it enough I paid for the Pro version after a year or so. Settings are a great tool and they are continuing to add features and improving the current. I've got mine set at 2500 then it alerts me. They also are adding new cities, counties and towns. You can get some international scanners but I've not tried to find any but at the moment Australia will pop up a lot due to the fact that the country is in flame's.
I have been using this app for 5+ years now. I have not found a better scanner app yet. Constant improvements and features galore. Some of the feeds in my area have background noise so the equalizer works wonderfully. super easy to find feeds near me. I've been a scanner enthusiast since 1978 and although I'd rather use an actual receiver, this is the next best option when I'm on the road.
