HOW DOES IT WORK?
Scannr uses your camera for scanning the barcode on the back of a US and Canadian driver’s license. By using BlinkID, a technology used in banking applications, information from the barcode is deciphered and turned into a human-readable form.
WHAT IS BOUNCER MODE?
The app offers the so-called bouncer mode – the ability to set the age limit and filter people accordingly. If the person is above the age limit, the scanned data is shown on the green background. If not, the background is red. It can also detect expired licenses.
IS THE DATA LOGGED?
Data logging can be switched on or off, depending on your preferences and/or state law. With logging turned on, Scannr can turn recorded data into informative charts. Charts can be further refined by selecting the start and end date.
WHICH DATA IS STORED?
Only aggregated gender and age data. Everything else is ignored. The scanned data never leaves your mobile phone, unless you configure Scannr to send data to a custom URL.
IS SCANNR FREE?
You can download the app for free and take a limited number of scans. If you find it useful enough, there’s an option of buying an unlimited-scans license for a time period.
HOW DO I INTEGRATE SCANNR INTO MY SYSTEM?
In settings, you can set Scannr up to send the scanned data to a URL of your choosing so you can save the data for later if you have a need to do so.

What I found this app my search criteria was offline applications... this is not an offline application it requires some kind of Internet account in order to use it. so, when you make an application that will work on the phone without signing in on the internet, let me know I might buy it. I will not sign into anything in order to use an application make it work on the phone Without the internet. Many times I'm in places where there is no internet so your application is useless.
This app does what is supposed to with such ease! There is nothing difficult about it! Certainly helped me avoid costly fines for not checking IDs. Going forward, maybe a feature that can flag duplicates? So if the same code is scanned more than once in 24 hours no one could just change a pic...idk something like that.
This application is nothing but garbage I have not been able to get the application to do anything at all..
While I like the app, I'm still trying to determine it's purpose. Who it is geared to? You have a bouncer mode. You say it is not to detect a valid ID/drivers license or whether it is real or fake. Can't the information be obtained directly from the front? Or is it geared towards HR personnel and saving them from having to enter in the data?
DO NOT USE THIS APP TO CHECK ID'S!!!! I work in a bar and caught a fake ID. I scanned it using this app, and the app said that it was a valid ID. This app doesn't actually verify ID's. It just scans the barcode and goes off that information
Love the design and simplicity. Scanning works great and fast. You have all the necessary data right away. Great job with statistics feature 👍.
Love the app but doesn't save search results other then that it cool fun and worth having as a security guard also does not work for Puerto Rico or Canada IDs but its saving lives by the day keeping distance from covid-19 get information without ever touching there I'd card thanks Developers /up date review App stopped working when got a new Samsung galaxy phone I did love this app was paying every 3 months but since it's not working have to say goodbye thanks
This app seems to be incapable of checking the validity of an ID, I work in a 21+ establishment and have confiscated a decent amount of fakes and wanted to see if this app might make life easier. I gave it a test on some recently confiscated IDs and it didn't catch a single one.
I have tried a lot of DL Scanners but this one was amazing. Love the UI and it works. Scannr brings the sexy back in ID scanning!
Doesn't tell you if the ID you are scanning is fake or not. Horrible for bars, would not recommend. I will be trying to get a refund.

Downloaded app, registered, and when it came time to scan back of CA driver's license for barcode it wouldn't focus or take pic.
Requires you to sign up for an account. I shouldn't need an account just for reading an offline barcode.

It charges after 20 scans but on my friend iPhone it is free and I'm a security officer that work at night clubs it would be very helpful
Paid for this and I have not been able to scan any license or government issued ID in the last 8 weeks.
The bar code scan does nothing for a good fake ID.
I scanned a bunch of known fakes with it and they came back as real your app is made for fakes to pass
Defective App - Displays eronious info - completely off on correct Identification.
I scanned a fake Id; knowing it's fake. Put to the test & this app fails.

Fake ID still show fake info. This does not help prevent fakes.

First screen a login screen? Fail. Should be camera view to see if it works.

terrible I am a head of security / bouncer for a very popular night club I had thought this might be an interesting tool to help catch fake i d's After purchasing the products year membership I walked into my office at work and scanned 397 fake I d's that my bouncers pulled throughout last year Every one of them verified as good This app would be great if it would pick up key things in the photo To help spot fakes . I'm definitely looking for a refund on it .
