App works fine, but the lock quit responding after I changed the batteries, and their support site is pretty useless for troubleshooting. I tried calling for support, and dropped off after holding longer than reasonable. I'll try later, I guess. The system worked fine up until this point, but I can't say I recommend this lock and app if it can't survive a simple battery change, especially for something as critical as a front door security system. 🤷‍♂️ Doesn't inspire confidence.

This lock and its app are a huge disappointment. The settings in the app are rarely transmitted to the lock even though they are reflected as set in the app. It would me nice to have a setting greater than 4 minutes. It takes me much longer to bring the groceries into the house. As a result, I have to unlock the door many times. One of the settings that rarely gets set properly is the auto lock on/off feature.

The device and App both seem to work fine together. The lock is well made and had no problem connecting with the App. I can now set up codes from anywhere in the world. The only issue I have is battery life. Original lasted approximately 9 months. Replace with higher rated life battery if you plan to travel or definitely keep an eye on it. Fortunately, the App let's you know when low.

Unreliable. App thinks that it's locking the door but it doesn't. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. But when it doesn't you're left in a real lurch. Products like this have got to be reliable and that is what this is missing. Also the app is not accurate. Says the door is locked when it's not or unlocked when it's locked. Wish people would quit selling junk that doesn't work. And the Wi-Fi is working fine for everything else.

Recurring crashes and inability to connect to lock. This app doesn't need to do much. It has a small number of features - add users, keep a log of activity, share codes, open and close the lock, etc. However, I have to clear cache and data nearly anytime I want to do anything. Want to add a new user? 75% of the time it will report an error unless you clear data & cache and log back in. Consistent app errors. Don't get me started on the lock itself. I STRONGLY recommend a different brand.

The app is good, not great. I'd like a more consolidated view of all locks (I have six) as well as the ability to set a single code and apply it to all of the locks at once instead of having to go into the settings for each one. Other than that, the scheduling and integration with Amazon echo is excellent.

Editing this review to outline a far more concerning issue that underscores the severity of the limited app; I received a notification that the door unlocked in the middle of the day without anyone interacting with it. I checked the history and found that it was unlocked from the app, but only I have the app and I didn't unlock it. If I could check to see the IP addresses of the device that unlocked my front door without explanation that would be just swell. This app is slow, logs me out continuously despite my requests to stay logged in, offers fingerprint recognition that continues to be unselected every time the app logs me out, takes so long for me to launch, connect and unlock the door when I get home that its honestly faster for me to park, walk to the door and punch in the code, doesn't allow scheduling of automatic locking, and otherwise is terrible in every other way you might imagine an app could be terrible. I really regret this lock, and before you comment Schlage, I have contacted your support team many many times to no avail. This is simply a terrible value for the money. Its three times more expensive than a standard keypad lock and the WiFi feature offers nothing but downsides.

Requiring me to have a security lock on my phone only adds steps to access my phone in the 70% of my life when I'm NOT using this app. It's annoying, and cumbersome, yet I need the app to easily add codes to the door. In the 70% of the time I'm not using the app, it also updates logs me out making it a struggle every damn time to just use the app. At one point my auto fill added a space behind my email address and kept kicking me out saying my info was invalid after 3 password changes!

Over all I absolutely love this app! My only complaint and why I didn't give five stars is because it frequently logs me out and it won't always allow us to check the status while we are out and about (which could be more cell phone service than the app). But we absolutely love having the keyless entry and being able to set up codes for individuals!

4/21/22 UPDATE: 2yrs now. App is simple and works well BUT lacks key features. 1. Expensive lock that is very lackluster for price. 2. Does not integrate with SmartThings and some features only barely w/Google Assistant. 3. No geofencing in app so I can't auto lock/unlock on departure/arrival. 4. Guest users have a 12 character limit for their name. Often, names cannot be fully added due to this limit. 5. PINs must be SIX digits. No less. No more. 6. Disconnects other devices from phone.

Never a problem with this device. You can see which code is used to open door and it can be locked and unlocked from anywhere. Works well with home wifi. Changing batteries is not a problem (if it's all set up correctly) changing them adds signal strength my echo is less than 12 feet from the door locks.

I use the Schlage Home app to manage access to my Airbnb's as well as to my own home. Overall, it's a pretty solid app. A few nitpicky complaints about the app: When adding an access code name, I want to put the guest and last name of the guest who is registered at my airbnb. That field is limited to only 12 characters, so I end up having to truncate the last name. Also, I feel that the Delete All button on the add user screen is way too prominent for such a destructive action.

Locks and unlocks fine. Easy to use. Can schedule temporary access to neighbor when we are not home. The one bad thing is I have to re-login to the app about once a month - annoying.

I hate that the app makes you set a lock on your phone. I am one who likes to not have a lock on my phone. I would prefer to have a pin on the app for the 2-3 times a week I use the app vs the 50+ times 8 have to unlock my phone per day. The need to offer lock option in the app and not the phone. The lack of this option, for me, is an immediate -4+ stars.

The only problem I have is once you hit the button on the app the lock changes state. It should ask you "are you sure you want to unlock/lock the front door?" For people that rent this is always a fear, imagine hitting the button by mistake and the person renting saw this happen. We really love this product over all!

Very easy to use. Connected well, and synced up new access codes quickly. Would be good if temporary access codes could be generated randomly. I hate having to think of new codes.

I originally tried Amazon key for my schlage encode - but I like this schlage home app much better. It holds the wifi connection better and is simpler to use with easy access. The down side is I cannot work my lock from my Ring alarm app but the advantages it offers are worth it.

Solid product. Easy install. The app is straightforward and works well. Directly connects to wifi. I use it for many Air Bnb properties I manage and have replaced all the other locks with this product. Highly recommend this!

Updates do not push to Android but does push to lock. Then the lock is not linked to the app on phone and all the wireless capability is pointless. If that was fixed this would be a 5 star utility.

It has been great for me as an Airbnb owner. It has a history with date and time of locks/unlocks. The battery last a long time. Notifications are helpful as well.

Good useful app. Doesn't work with all locks. Doesn't interface very well with Alexa or Google, but it's stand alone app works great on its own.

App logs out our passwords often. Gives no notification when battery life is low. Recently had to reset password for a hail mary when app completely locked up and customer service did not return call.

I love this lock ! Batteries last for at least a year and it works great even in extremely cold winter weather . I love that I can unlock the door with the app . I got it over 2 years ago and never any problems .

Took an updare and a reset to get the wifi connected but now it works like a charm! Love being able to run out to walk the dog without having to carry keys!!!!

My experience with the app and lock is a very annoyingly looooong time waiting for the app to open the lock. Other than that, the manually controlled aspects of the lock work well.

Amazing for overnight rentals! This thing allows you to add codes instantly and set timeless when the cover will work and set a time/date when it will deactivate. Absolutely perfect for our Airbnb.
