DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. I downloaded it on Friday, did everything they asked me and subscribed for 3 free days and 25 dollars for 6 months. They haven't offered me or helped me at all, and I'm constantly going in and making changes to see if I did something wrong or missed something but I did everything right. So I decided to cancel my subscription 3 different ways and it won't let me. I bet they are waiting until they charge me 25 dollars to allow me to cancel it. Shameful.

Be aware that this is not free as advertised. It is a subscription. I tried to cancel and it keeps redirecting me to an error message. Save your time. There are no filters to actually search for scholarships. They show you ones that do not apply to you.

Price is insanely high for those with a low budget, why not just have ads. also the app in general is low quality. After filling out all catagories and it figures out what you are eligible for it shows you 3 scholarships. that's it? How do you expect people to pay 20/month when you arn't updating your page with as many eligible scholarship a person can use, I thought that was the point of the app to make it easier. waste of my hour and waste of your money

Google is cheaper, convenient and gives the best results. Don't bother about this money pipette.

Mys. May 19, 2020

Signed up for the annual subscription and it won't let me use the premium features. When I log on via web it prompts me to sign up again. Had to talk to someone via email to fix this problem. But all of my scholarship matches were expired applications, some from two years ago. So not only did I miss out on my free trial because of technical errors, I paid $50 for outdated scholarships. I do not recommend. You're better off researching for hours to find new scholarship matches.

Wanted to look online. Wouldn't allow me to do anything except for download the app. Downloaded the app, then have to pay for the app. Chose the yearly membership because cheapest and comes with a free trial. Signed up. App refuses to load.

I've tried 4 different scholarship tools & this tool has the most broken frustrating user interface which is embarrasing since it's the most expensive out of all other options by A LONG SHOT. Don't get me wrong, the app isn't completely horrible. The matching system is the best out there. But no search bar? No filters? Use Going Merry instead. You can fill out scholarships in-app, filter, and ITS FREE! use the scholly free trial and copy the info to going merry, it's better in almost every way.

I got scammed. I paid for a one month membership and I looked around yesterday and then when I login today it tells me I have to pay for a membership?!? Give me my money back. I can't believe an app would just steal

It was great until they got greedy. Instead of being $3 a month like how it use to be, its now $50/yr and a 3 day free trial (not even a week or two)?? Absolutely bonkers. There's no monthly option, no biweekly option, nothing. They lock everything behind that $50 subscription, you can't evwn find scholarships unless you pay; what's the point of having a free account, if everything's behind a pay wall??

I only used the free service for a minute, but instantly lost interest because the choices found were really broad and didnt apply to my info. I am a female, hispanic student in STEM. There should be more choices than essay scholarships asking me about my goals or upbringing. This app offers nothing more than options simply found on google. I do not even want to give in to the 3 dollar membership. Asking people to pay monthly when the objective is to help those in need of money is just backwards.

Bait & Switch -- Started using Scholly after seeing Shark Tank, with small monthly fee $3.99. Scholly raises the Subscription price to $50.00 for the same service, and gives the basic *writing* software (was included before) for the monthly Subscription.. All this was done without notice of policy changes in an email or anything. Ill have to find another place for scholarship search.

The app no longer works for me. It keeps freezing on me and asking me to subscribe and I have subscribed since I used to like the app so much for $2.99 a month. I've been using this service since it was only 2.99 for a one time payment. Then out of no where it asks me to pay every tome I try to log in, and I'm already paying. The app glitches and it isn't Worth my time anymore. I'm just going to cancel my subscription.

Kai. S. Mar 2, 2020

the app crashes and says payment error when you agree to the trial--and you're incapable of accessing any scholarships beacuse it ironically says "error you've already subscribed" yet redirects you to the "change your plan!" page every time you attempt to see scholarships you've signed up for. when you check your google account, however...there's the subscription, sure enough.

3 stars because the concept is great but the price is too high for the students that NEED this kind of app. Also, on day 2 of the free trial and the app no longer loads. Keep improving this one guys! It has the potential to be great.

Kyy. R. May 21, 2019

Bought the subscription, the app still says i havent and wont let me use the features i paid for unless i go to the actual website. very, VERY upset that there is NO way to contact Scholly on the app or their website. ridiculous and will cancel subscription soon if it continues. UPDATE: Changed from 2 to 4 stars because my issue has been resolved, not 5 stars because its still very dumb there is no way to contact their support staff with issues through their app or website.

Su. C. Jul 15, 2020

It didn't work at all. After several tries to get it to accept my payment info, the app wouldn't keep my data entries and get past the initial form page. I uninstalled it after a few frusy hours of trying. Save yourself the frustration, and don't bother.

App doesn't really do what it sells you on. Filters don't really filter anything, you just have the option to add traits to your profile, and not all majors are listed for you to include or search by. Let's not forget to mention the $44.99 subscription to even be allowed to look for scholarships. Yeah, theres a free 3 day trial, but it's still not worth it to me. I recommend you just doing your own tailored searches or going to your campus financial aid office and asking about scholarships.

I've paid for the subscription, and I have the Google receipt to prove it, but I can't access any parts of the app because it says I still need to unlock for full access. I've tried to repay, but it says I've already subscribed to the account. The desktop version shows the same thing. I'm upset that even though I've subscribed and even reinstalled the app, and tried the desktop version, I still can't get to what I paid for. I would really appreciate some insight to fix this!

Ede. B. May 27, 2019

None of the search results I got matched my profile and were all either marketing schemes (including one by Scholly itself) or required essays, videos, or projects on hyperspecific, personally-irrelevant topics. I paid $5 for a month, and frankly, I'd like it back because this service has absolutely no value to me. Maybe others will have more luck finding relevant scholarships, but...be careful; try the free trial first.

Nat. S. Apr 18, 2021

Terrible. Scholarships are generic. It's possible to find 3 at the most. Tried to cancel my account and the app won't allow you to cancel. I found several other people online with the same issue. DON'T SIGN UP!!!!!!!!!

Den. A. Sep 17, 2019

You can not manually type in your birthday in the app you have to scroll forever until you get to your birth year. I ended up signing up using the website since you can type the birthday in there. I tried using the app but am not seeing any scholarships, I guess you have to pay $45 first. I tried the app after seeing it on Shark Tank and it was much better then but now they are just looking for their $$. I have no problem with them making money but not paying without being able to try first

Sen. Z. Jan 11, 2019

So I saw this on Shark Tank. I tried it out back in September I applied for like 4 scholarships. It was a lot to write 4 good essays plus class so I did not keep up with it. I have the premium membership for $3 a month. I was thinking if I'm not going to use it I should cancel the membership. Then yesterday I got a check for $1000.00!!! I won a scholarship! I will definitely be keeping the app. Even if I never win another the app has more than paid for itself. Thank you scholly!

Lis. D. Jul 8, 2020

Paid for a subscription, filled out the profile questions multiple times. The app is flawed and doesn't save your info. Tried to log out and back in, only to be asked to pay again. My 3-day trial lasted less than 3 hours before I unsubsidized.

I. S. May 14, 2021

I thought I canceled after the first 6 months. I was charged again. I reached out to customer service and instead they offered me a lifetime membership if I opened a savings account. I told them I already had one after I said that. I was told I couldn't get my money back. I never received any scholarships instead I would just get a lot of ads and constantly take surveys. I don't recommend this service at all.

Jak. E. May 3, 2019

I used to love this app. It was amazing and I found many scholarship opportunities on there. I paid for it when it had been a month after its release, and it was a great investment. Yet now, it is demanding that I pay for a subscription to use this service, even though I already paid for the app. This is just like colleges who keep finding ways to make more money. I appreciate the app in its design, but conpletely blocking out pre-existing users like this is no way to keep a good consumer base.

Isa. R. Sep 27, 2019

It doesn't even give you options to look at scholarships and apply for them, it just gives you examples of essays and articles that tell you the same things the people in school are telling us, unless you pay an arm and a leg for a freaking app. I expected a lot more

Ari. B. Mar 31, 2021

Not really "free". This app requires a subscription (an expensive one at that) but touts the word "free" throughout the whole sign-up process. There's no indication that you have to pay for the service until you have input all your information.
