School App for Parents
No more out-of-date paper calendars, searching through letters from the school or browsing the website – everything you need to know, when you need it, at your fingertips!

How to Use the App
At the bottom of the screen there are five tabs:
Home:
See a summary of the latest news and today’s news. You can click on the event it will take you to the full event details. The latest five news items can be scrolled through to view the headlines, you can click on the headline to view the full news story.
Calendar
This can be viewed in two ways; as Month To View or List View. You can switch between these views using the icons in navigation bar at the top of the page. On the centre left is a small calendar icon and on the right is a small list icon.
When using the Month To View and one of the dates is marked by a dot, this indicates that there is an event on that day. If you tap on that date, you will see the event appear below the calendar. Tap any event to see more detailed information and a map of the event location (if applicable).
In the List View, you can scroll through all this months events, in date order. Again, you can tap any event to see more detailed information and a map of the event location (if applicable).
You can even import an event into your personal calendar from your app, if you select the import icon. Please note that if an event is altered in this calendar it will not change the details in your personal calendar unless you re-import the data.
Messages
Shows you all the messages for your school or organisation. Also within this section you can assign yourself to personalised message groups, simply click on message groups to activate and deactivate which messages you would like to see.
News
Shows all the latest stories from your school or organisation. If you tap on any news item you will be able to see more detail.
Information:
In this tab you can view the schools documentation (if applicable) such as there prospectus, news letters and links to further website links to more information. You can also share the app via email and social media
Calendar Filters:
Clicking on calendar filters, this gives you the opportunity to only see those calendar items that are relevant to you by selecting the Departments and Activities the app will display.

Thought this app was poorly implemented when the school first forced us to use it. The way it is used leads me to downgrade from 2 stars to one. Communications via the app are invariably a one liner stating "please see the attached letter" whereby a PDF document of an A4 letter is attached. Have you tried reading an A4 letter on a mobile phone screen? Hardly convenient, hardly user friendly and frankly an insult that an educational establishment thinks it is a good idea.
Not a great app. A lot messages dont show after you get a notification to tell you there is a new message. Of you have 2 or more schools on it then constantly get kicked out and have to add the schools again.
When I first downloaded this app it was great, did exactly what I needed it to by keeping me up to date with things going on at my sons school but now for no apparent reason its stopped opening! Loads the green logo page and then just shuts down and give me an unfortunately the app had to close message, been like this for days now. Was hoping the issue would be fixed but no it's still happening. Tried uninstalling and downloading again but still doesn't work. a shame as I did find the app useful
A nightmare to use on the pixel 4. When you go into a message, you not able to come back out message again. Have to close the app and then clear it and reopen the app again to arrive back at the main screen. No back arrows shows up on phone. Update: After speaking to the developers, found out have to click the left side of the screen and hold for a second for an arrow to show to allow left swipe. Really an setup issue with the phone.
To add another different school, go to Home tab then the 3 lines icon in the top right corner. You can search & add more schools there. Then have to switch between them. Annoying that when new info is added to News or Dates, no notification appears, only for Messages. Keep missing important info from schools. Prefered when it was all emailed.
Hi there I can't switch between schools as my youngest is at primary and older one at high school. Every time when I try to switch school it says I need to upgrade the app if I click on it then it says it's already upgrade and open! It only works for primary school.
Excellent app that my daughter's school has started using. After my android phone had an update to Android 10,the app stopped working,I emailed the developer of this app and got a reply by return,then when they had fixed the problem they again emailed me to tell me it had been fixed,first class service.
Latest update doesn't appear to have rolled out properly, with no option to update from the app store. Can't read attachments in new messages and the notifications and availability of messages doesn't seem to be synced.
Constantly being logged out and needing to renew my password, very hard to contact anyone to get help especially when the help section won't let you connect, incredibly frustrating. There must be a better App out there that schools could use, The idea behind it is good but practically still too many problems to sort out.
Very unreliable, messages often don't come through promptly and often at all. Clicking on notifications cause the app to launch, but the associated message often isn't anywhere to be found in the app. App is often so slow to launch that it appears that it actually hasn't launched.
Great app for keeping updated however when i receive notification of a message, i click on it and it takes me to the app, but the message is not in the app. After a few hours the message will appear, but im afraid the delay is an inconvenience. i have uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same.
Amended review... after I posted about my problem with missing notifications the developer got in touch and, after a lot of emails back and forth, found and fixed the bug. So now the app does what I need, plus gold stars for great customer service : )
For some reason I'm not getting any new notifications. If it wasn't for someone putting them up on the Facebook group my son would be missing out on things. I have deleted and reinstalled and ur lucky if iv had 1 notification since. Also checked settings in the app too all fine.
Clunky and poorly designed. There used to be a school app which sucked horribly and crashed half of the time. Then, it came up saying everyone needed to get a NEW app. That new app was this. This is basically just the same thing copy pasted. Why is this a separate, still poorly designed app?
super glitchy and freezes all the time. Have had to reinstall several time. Shame really as it is a useful tool.
I'm giving it one star as no notifications are displayed if new messages appears. This is not only on my phone this is also on my Mrs phone. Whatever I set in notification settings any new messages not coming up. Fix this!
App is good in general - I get messages but if there are attachments then they don't come through. Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still not working for me.
After installing the app, one must fully type the name of the school, i.e. Nether Robertland Primary School; dont be tempted to select 'Nether Robertland EAC', which is incorrect. A user name and password will be requested, which the school will provide. Et voila, all the information one needs is now accessible.
Raised to three stars as notifications now launch the app. Gets you the information you need, however more modern interface and calendar integration or reminders would be welcome.
All of a sudden asking for pincodes when I've been using the app for a long time and to be told to contact the school to get pincodes is not helpful at all - we are in lockdown!
A god send.. very easy to use and now have all required information in one place rather than lots of bits of paper everywhere. Great communication tool
Pointless. What is the point in having an app for school information if there are no notifications to state there are messages etc. Needs fixed. Ridiculous.
Totally unsecure as anyone can just download the app and select a school , in this day and age I'm afraid that's unacceptable. There needs to be security on this!!!! 😠😠😠😠😠ANYONE CAN SEE ANYONES CHILD in photos
No longer getting links, apparently there was an update due over the weekend, this hasn't seemed to materialise. I am aware of a lot of school messages today (mainly covid related), no clue what is going on
Absolutely useless. No attatchments come through on the app. No links for attachments which is obviously no good as the school are sending attachments ... 1* rubbish
Was asked by the school to download this app, every time I try to add my children's school, it tells me there's a problem *Update* the issue seems to be resolved and am now happy to give a better review. App is easy to use and understand
I installed this app to check lunch options for my daughter, but it won't tell me them but it's useful to see what day they, have off and lots of different news, like if they started build a nursery or something ,in all a geat and thoughtful app.
Actually makes life more complicated and stressful. Periodically decides not to give you some notifications for important messages like school buses not running, so the only way to find them is to somehow know something is happening and manually open the app and refresh the message list. Tried re-installing this morning to get snow day updates and now getting the message on all phones and schools I try it on "sorry, there was an issue loading that school" or it crashes trying to enter the pin.
