1st messages are always wider than the screen. Many times you must scroll right, several times, just to read 1 line and then scroll back several times for the next line - Over and Over Again just to read the message - 1b, You Can't Pinch To Shrink. It would be easier just to get emails. 2nd, it uninstalls itself when it updates - that's not helpful. 3rd, it tells me there are new messages when there are not. It would be GREAT if the messenger just OPENED pdf files.
Don't like this app... But they have it free to the school board so we are stuck with it. It glitches. It is not synced with the email blasts. I would love to be able to sort, delete or filter messages for each student. Hopefully they eventually ask for updates.
This is a terrible app. It's supposed to be an attendance app. Good luck with that. Why is attendance not on the landing page? Why do I have to click on multiple tabs just to find my child. The notifaction tab is filled with old messages I can not mark as read. I have gone back to the old method of just calling the school to log an absence.
Terrible app. Won't sign me in half the time, messages show as unread even though I've read them, not easy to navigate, no instructions, takes forever to figure out how to do what I need to....IF it lets me sign in.... It just gets stuck on loading screen for days.... Screw this, I'll just phone the school.
Complete garbage. If I could give 0 I would. 2nd time I've given it the benefit of the doubt. I'm deleting it again. The app doesn't allow to say missed one period. Just late full day or half day. Well none of the above. No bugs were fixed w this update. Do better educators.
This app is difficult to navigate for both students and teachers. It never stays in my account so I don't receive any notifications. Remind is a much better alternative.
Very useful and handy to have especially for reporting student absences from school. All messages and history are all in one place so easy to find
Not impressed at all with this app. Messages come in hours if not days after they have been sent, for example reminders for COVID screening coming in 4hrs AFTER school starts and we just started Safe Arrivals and there is no where to follow through with reporting absences. This is AWFUL.
App takes long to open. It kept saying loading, and it never opened. I had to Uninstall and try to download again and still the same.
Unable to login to the app using the username and password that I had reset mere minutes ago through my school's website. Therefore the app is completely useless.
You read the messages but it keeps saying you have messages. They can't be deleted or marked as read. A real time waster for us parents. PLEASE FIX THIS APP!!!
Love the ease of reporting an absence and getting school notifications. Like how all of this is stored for future reference.
Keeps crashing everytime I open the app. Cannot get in to read and respond to posts.
Working properly again. Update was available and completed successfully. No issues with app at this time.
Today I tried to open the app (regardless if tapping on notification of a message, or opening the app to report an absence), and have been directed to do an opdate. Update takes me to the app store where my choice is: uninstall or open the app. I have done both - and in each case get directed again to do an update that doesn't exist. Very frustrating to go in circles, only to have to call the school directly in the end. Until now, this app has been adequate, but currently is completely useless.
Had to revise my review as I find the app improved a lot, and I don't have the login problems experienced with earlier versions.
Great app with great info to keep up with my children daily, weekly and monthly updates. I appreciate the effort going into this app. Thank you
I would love if they would develop a way to clear all notifications or mark all as read..instead of one by one.
App does not work well not user friendly keeps signing me out get some notifications 3 times and others not at all, or 4 days after they are sent
Easy to report an absence or late arrival to the school. Personally, I would like to see more choices as reasons for being absent or late
App totally deleted one of my kids from the absences page. Can't even sign him out, which is the whole point of having this app. Useless.
While it's great to be able to log absences, overall the functionary of this app is terrible. I don't get notifications for messages until several hours after, sometimes more than 4! It takes much too long to refresh or load messages, and once I've read a message, it will not be cleared as read until I load another or refresh.
I was excited about the school announcing the use of a new platform. Usually any change is for better, but then I find that with this app I have to take more steps (than the app the school was using before) to report an absence and it always opens at the message page which is really annoying and you can not change in the settings. Finally, what really bothers me is that there is no way to mark the unread messages as read all at once, you have to do it one by one and clicking each. No way!
Not sure which audience this app is designed for but the end user is not one them! It's hard to log in with any consistency and super clunky to navigate. It doesn't help that our school board gave parents little time and instructions on how to use it. I'd say it takes about a good 10 mins to log an absence, and when your trying to get to work and your kids have the latest school bug going around it's VERY inconvenient.
This is a terrible app. The push notification button will not turn on no matter how many times i tap the toggle button and yes my phone is set up to receive notifications from the app. there is no way to contact a teacher or send a msg unless they contact you first. There are other school apps that are much better but the school board insists that this is the only one teachers can use. I sent their customer service a msg to try and resolve the push notifications issue but haven't heard back.
Horrible application. Being forced to install it by the school board is bad enough, but it doesn't even work properly. Need to call the US because it won't accept attedance explanations properly (says invalid option but phone menu will accept). Continues to ask for data long after an issue has been resolved. Would be much better just to be able to speak to a human - wouldn't take nearly as long or be half as frustrating. Lastly, it always says there are unread messages even when all read.
If I could give this app 0 stars, I would. It is the WORST app in the history of apps. Messages show as unread even after reading them including sometimes after refreshing the screen; the notices - if I get one at all - come hours after the message was uploaded; the latest update was said to be available, but when I went to Google Play to update it, the update wasn't available, so I couldn't read my messages...I could go on, but it's just too frustrating. If I didn't HAVE to have it, I wouldn't!
