Scoot is the original shared electric vehicle company. The vehicles in our networks range from our original electric motor scooters to new electric bikes and kick scooters. We operate thousands of these light electric vehicles (LEVs) in San Francisco and Barcelona to drive towards a greener future.
Scoot’s mission is to reduce global carbon emissions and traffic congestion that consistently plagues cities. In San Francisco alone, our riders have (to date) prevented over five million pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere.
Scoot currently operates in San Francisco and Barcelona, but we plan to bring fast, affordable, fun transportation to more cities soon.

fast native app. bad: 1.mapbox zoom snapping levels are too aggressive. just turn it off. its unconventional 2.weird model error popups on startup when resuming from cold start (fix your bad state) 3.needs statusbar notifications on android to inform you that you didnt close out your ride. instead you keep getting charged, then complain to helpdesk. not a good overall customer experience and waste of your support resources. 4. filter option. now skateboards clutter the map. yuck!
Horrible. Slow app and far too many questions. And I'm really upset that bike was locked everything was OK. I didn't confirm that everything was good, what I consider a courtesy question and it kept invoicing me. At the end a tour of 3 euros ended in more than 20. Also this closing takes ages . It gives me the impression they want to invoice as long is the bike not available for others. This is not my issue if they ask lot of questions. This app needs improvement. The other services they give you a call if something is weird. I will stop for now and do not recommend. Now you have 18+ euros from me. Invest in something useful e.g. improve app and customer service.
It's fine most of the time but there are inconsistencies with what scooters appear on the map vs scooters that can be seen on the street. I'll see one across the street but it's nowhere to be found on the map or vice versa. Otherwise it's pretty good.
Amazing! I use this in Barcelona and got all the way up the hill with no sweating. First time I was able to commute by bicycle to my uphill neighbourhood. Could be a real solution for the city. Also easy to use app
Very small percentage of places to drop off. Despite commercials, can't go anywhere west of 19th Ave, including all beaches. can't drop off anywhere near tenderloin museums, ball park, or twin peaks.
I would rate this app 0 Stars if I could. Worst e-scooter experience ever. Super slow, and only works in certain zones. Don't know why anybody would use this app instead of bird/lime. Also you have to install an additional app to use their scooter. Don't waste your time or money.
cannot scan driver's license after 5 tries. everything is clear and legible. continuing with this app is a waste of time. please fix these problems. i am uninstalling until then.
onky support scanning driver license and can't manually type? Clearly developers think everybody is using the app in a perfect lighting condition. No matter I scan under morning sun or in the shade. Waste me 10min. Never going to use again!
After last update app got much much worse. Incredibly slow. Takes like 35 seconds for a button click to register. Way worse. Terrible slow slow slow app.
Expensive (nearly twice the price of the competence). Scooter is slow compared the competence (lime). Scooter is noisy. In Santiago, Scoot scooters has to be tied with a chain however the chin has not the diameter enouth to enlace some objects. The feedback from user at the end lf the ride does not allow us to express the true user esperience... HOWEVER, is a alternative when the other sharing scooters are not avaliable nearby.
DO NOT USE THIS APP!!! They took 89€ from my bank account before saying anything to me so I went to Consumer Rights to report it. One day I had to parked up the scooter out of the zone because their gps didn't work. The scoot got a fine as their poor system was not able to let me park it up correctly, they apologized to me for that but months later they charged me for something was not my fault. Then if you try to call them you will speak with literally no one. USE YEGO! Much better and Cheaper.
App is painfully slow and 2 out of every 3 scooters (stand up type) seem to be out of service. Have neither issue with Skip.
The service is too expensive and the allowed range too small. Nice idea and nice scooters but the price is way more expensive than in any other city.
I only use it when I can't find any other way of transportation, because they always do the same thing, they take the exact amount of time to lock, so they can charge you another extra minute
Terrible... wasted 20 minutes filling out info to get an invalid credit card number. weird I use it every day. waste of time, bad app, use line instead!!!
Awfully bad Do you want to spend 5 to 10 minutes looking for a bike? because of their terrible GPS? Do you want to 3 times more the bicing? I never thought I would go running back to bicing.
Awful! If you want to ride, start installing a week prior to your ride. They take you through painful onboarding, at the end need time to verify drivers license - and then need to watch an hour long orientation video! Not to mention customer support non existent
the app cant find an electric moped even though im standing in front of several. doesnt matter what time of day either- cannot locate or scan. ive uninstalled, reinstalled- nothing works.
"Coming soon" on all options in SF - never been able to get the app to show me any availability. (Edit: fixed! Looking forward to trying the scooters)
Garbage app. Garbage verification system. I've signed up for 5 different scooter companies and this was the absolute least user friendly. Would not recommend to anyone.
This program and app has changed my whole experience here in SF for the better I wish the ability to report issues and violations u could just select the scooter from the map & report. as it stands to report anything uou have to know the exact serial number to report anything.its sad to see that so many people take them inside buildings Bogarting them and nothing is done about it. Its is ruining the whole thing and it getting harder and harder to find them.
Too expensive and when you start using the scooter the timer on the app doesn't start from 0 but from 5 min... I use other services like Lime and the charges for the same amount of time are 50%less
Error when I try entering the credit card + error while scanning californian driver license... No information message nothing. I guess it just does not work
The service itself is fantastic. This app, though; the speedometer reads zero most of the time, the navigation directions map is "North up" which gets confusing. Also it doesn't show enough ahead of you, so it's real easy to miss turns. And there's no text for the next turn, so you really are just glancing at the map every second or so to see if a turn has suddenly appeared. The scooter service is great, but switch to a different mapping app for directions.
