Scottrade® Mobile App

Twice now a bug in the app made me lose money in a trade. BEWARE THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE Edit: Customer service ZERO help. Again last week these morons made me lose thousands. Gave me 25 free trades as an apology. DO NOT USE SCOTTRADE OR THEIR APP!!! At this point i am closing my account once i use those trades.

So this app is pretty nice to just glance at on the move but it's too slow for actual trading. The screens are sort of laid out awkwardly. Moving between trading / watching etc is very clunky. There is no option to change the log-out timeout. So if you're researching a stock in a browser and then come back to the app to do a trade, you're shown a login screen again... annoying. All in all, a useful app and WAAAAAY better than their first few versions. So hopefully this gets better and better.

Very easy to use. Simple platform to buy and sell stock and easy to view your portfolio and any news about different companies. Very easy to add money to your portfolio, taking money out is a bit of a hassle however.

Does not feel like a native app. The back button does not function correctly. Chart is not changeable on the fly. It is good for a quick sell and not buy.

It's ok but I can't view my holdings, gives me "invalid ticker symbol" error every time.

Does not work on my phone (android) at all. Won't select account. Won't photograph check, won't review. Nothing works. I have a brand new phone.

This app doesn't work anymore.

Scottrade has teamed up with TDAmeritrade,to access your account,download the TdAmeritrade app or go to the TdAmeritrade website and log in with you Scotrade account information and download thinkorswim to you cellular device or desktop.

Impossible to transfer money back into bank account / no support link in app / no help database in app to figure out how to do this. Google search results don't shed any light on the process either. Money is just stuck in here. Having to turn phone sideways to view a full chart is ridiculous. Navigation is wonky particularly when expecting Android "back" arrow will just take you back a screen - it exits the app instead Pretty clunky and bad.

Charting data on this app is simply awful! 5 year historical data is meaningless to those of us interested in historical context and contrast. Is it really that difficult to provide what most free finance apps already do? As a Scott trade customer I am not sure why you don't. Sorry this app needs much more work.

The check deposit function has no ability to focus. Absolutely no focus. Unusable. My last phone utilized the camera function upside down and inverted. These are both current release android phones. Seriously. If TDam app does this , I will be forced to change brokerages.

This app is buggy and poorly designed. It's so difficult to navigate through and securities don't display in the watch lists when you add them.

First thing I tried to deposit a check pictures no good doesn't work

The camera function in this app is totally useless. Would not focus in on the check, and take a semi clear picture, so I kept getting an error message , so useless for deposits. Otherwise, the rest of the app works pretty good.

It says you can make check deposits but the app distorts your camera so the check doesn't show clearly. My camera works perfectly except for this app and now my check has "deposit at scottrade only" so I can't deposit anywhere else. If I had known their app sucked so bad I would've used my other bank to deposit with my phone since that one works. It does not allow you to focus the picture as you normally would. Update, I never received the money from the check that wouldn't deposit so it was just a loss.

Every time I try to take a picture of my checks it sends me to an app failed notification. When I retry, same problem. The only reason I got the app was to deposit checks. The app is NOT HELPFUL.

Scottrade Bank has abandoned its customers! I hope someone got big bonuses for selling us out!!

Camera for depositing checks is blurry. Only happens with this app. App is also bloated. Fail

App crashes all the time if you try and toggle between it and others. Has for over a year.

I can't do anything with this app except watch a circle go round and round. Useless

Won't focus to deposit checks, tried tapping screen. Streaming doesn't work. Terrible

Real-time streaming is cool. Love the convenience!

Can't stream for longer than 5 secs

when i enter a ticker symbol in my account>trade, nothing happens HELP

I like this app. I like Scottrade. What I don't like is that they were bought out by Ameritrade. I used Ameritrade in the past and they are terrible. I fear that we are all going to have issues when the switch over happens. I will probably transfer my account to eTrade before the merger takes effect. It just makes me sick! Scottrade has such good customer service. Ameritrade has none. It's a bad deal.
