Nice app to control entire alarm system. Both in home (wi fi ) and from anywhere you go via smart phone. No ads within the app.
Crashes constantly. Disables alarm mode if you dismiss alarm, which is stupid and counter intuitive. Takes 45 seconds to arm a mode, why??
Crashes 19/20 times I try to use it. Trash.
The app is simple to use and works for it's intended purpose.

My hub is always offline and nowhere in the app to discontinue monitoring...I hate when products let you upgrade easily but make it impossible to downgrade
please get the widgets working correctly. between those not correctly and reliably activating/deactivating modes, and the fob not triggering the door panel, my ability to control the system has gone downhill. also where is the activity widget?
Why did you get rid of the activity widget? That was a very helpful way to monitor your home while away...?
Been using this system for 2 years now. app works as it should
Been 3 years now. I gave it a good chance. Not going to be renewing my subscription. Very buggy system, unreliable, false alarms, logs me out constantly, keyfobs are squirrelly, EATS batteries (and free batteries are not the answer) re-pairing motion detector is a chore when it goes awry. The list goes on. Just can't recommend this system.
Bought new Android with lollipop o\s, no more tone or popup text informing me system Is armed as it did with iphone. Even that took some time with Scout support to correct. Apparently Android and Apple don,t perform the same way with this app.
The new version isn't working well with the S8 phone. The previous version was much better. Constant issues with arming and disarming the systemusing the app

It's getting better...I was so excited for a UI refresh, but this is just terrible! It doesn't​follow any of Android's standards, and it's still a hassle to use
Really disappointed that the latest update wants sooooo many more privileges than it used to. Why dies an alarm app need my contacts and photos/media and device information and microphone. Would be nice if they were transparent and explained why they needed this info. Other than to sell for profit
Has potential. Overpromises. My system was offline for an entire week with false notifications from Scout telling me all was well! Unreliable. I returned everything.
Never had a problem with the app. The devices are easy to set up so long as you read the instructions (I had a lot of problems before I did that). Can't beat the price and convenience. Had the alarm for about a year now . I bought some rechargeable batteries from China . I change them about 4 times a year .

Like the widgets. Hardware needs some improvements. Additional Hardware offerings (glass break., etc.) and integrations would be bice. Integration with Nest, IFTTT, DO, LIFX etc are great.
The app uodated last night. it auto armed the alarm, when the alarm triggered this morning i could not turn it off or control it. Turned my securtiy system into junk. It also claimed there was smoke in my house at 12am. Yet nest doesnt show it. Fails all around by scout. Took me weeks to get my product, mins to install, hopefully the return process is easy. this company really cant keep it together.
Looks like app service was updated and not backwards compatible meaning if alarm is going off I have to update app in order to turn it off. Amateur hour.
The clarity on the door bell is good but for live response it is useless. The app is pretty garbage. Support used to be top notch but has declined. I have had the system for about 2 years. Loved it in the start and raved to people about it. Company has all the signs of giving up now. Not sure what happened but I would not suggest buying at this time unless the change... soon!
