SCP Reader

I love the app, gives you so much information about basically anything "SCP" you would want to read about. The only flaw is, large scale downloading doesn't seem to work. I've downloaded a series and you can see them in the downloaded section, however quite a few numbers are skipped. Furthermore, trying to open any you think you have leads you to its page being blank except for an error message that says there's an error while loading the Web page even though it's supposed to be offline 😭

It's a simple app to read SCP articles and I think they made it just right. Being able to read them in dark mode and mark the ones I've read as well as a separate way to mark favorites is exactly right, and all the extra files and stories are there with working links, and working tags linked to see lists of similar. Simple, and perfect. Only thing I need beyond that is some way to have it play as audio while I'm working, if possible in the future.

Excellent reader, except for one annoying problem. The page title is almost Always cut off, so you have to turn the device sideways to read it, which reloads the page, then you reorient upright to read, and it reloads the page... Can the page title font be resized/auto fit so it's always readable in either orientation? It's literally bugged me for years, hoping it would be fixed in an upgrade. Please fix?!?

I love the app, its a good source for files and fun to read on my off-time. I have had a few issues though: sometimes links to documents through the main browser and inside the documents won't work properly, and I have to reopen the app a few times until they work. i have tried to download series 2 offline but it fails to open, even after downloading it again. I'm not sure if these issues are just mine. Other than these few issues, the app works great.

Great app with one issue. Marking favorites and read entries is nice. Runs fast and smooth, and the various view options such as font and background color are more than sufficient. My single complaint: there doesn't seem to be any way to see which articles have been downloaded for offline viewing, or a way to delete individual offline articles. An icon next to the listing or a list of downloaded articles would be helpful. Otherwise, this app works great, and I recommend it for any SCP fan!

Pretty good app and has a good selection of abilities (favoriting, marking as read, etc.) But is literally just the website put into an app and isn't an actual app, separate from the website. Multiple times I've gotten errors saying it can't show the webpage, since I have problems with my web searching abilities on my phone. I would rate it higher, but isn't very "phone friendly".

The app is awesome! Been using it for months now. But there are a bunch ofproblems with the downloads tho.1 Most of the time, the download would show half of the image with the rest of it being white, being completely white, or not having an image at all. 2 when downloading a whole series, only a few would succeed(about 20 or less) and the rest fails.pls fix

edit: fixed in 3 days. great app. 5 stars. i recommend pro if you're an big fan. it's a good reader. I like it and it's great in my opinion. I use it every day. What would make it better is a better OLED layout. when you are in OLED mode, it doesn't black out the back, home, and recent keys. they stay a bright white. the top stays some weird shade of gray. that just doesn't match the text. it's annoying. I'm in my bed reading and the buttons are just disruptive. help vsong?

Great app. Makes reading very convenient. Though I do wish it had the capacity to open comments in app instead of in a browser. I also think there should be a share button on SCP pages so you can easily send links to the SCP. As it currently stands I have to open the link in an external browser and copy and paste the link. This just sounds like sharing with extra steps.

So far this app is amazing. Previously I had been using SCP Reader EN (or something like that), which only let you download articles if you paid for a subscription (which I'm pretty sure violates the terms of SCP fair use or something along those lines). The only thing I wish this had was the ability to download to SD card in order to save space (and fit all the files). If that was added it would be absolutely perfect.

Works great when connected to the internet. However, every time I try downloading a series it stops in the middle of the download. I can't find where any of it is stored in the file directory and the articles that did finish downloading won't open offline. The only solution was to reinstall the whole app only to be met with the same problem. Will not download again.

Excellent app! Quick loading and well formatted. It even grants access to the comments section on the main site. One gripe, on articles with various iterations and where text would normally be highlighted in some way, on the black and OLED-black themes, they words show up as dark blue and are really difficult to read. Perhaps yellow, or letting us choose that color would work better? Thanks!

Major offline bug! When you download all articles from a series it doesn't work offline and gives an error. Please fix! This bug can be bypassed by downloading the one it'd stuck on manually and some other stuff like restarting the phone multiple times. Even still sometimes it won't work out. Otherwise this app is pretty much perfect, the best out of the other scp reading apps.

Very good reader, but it could use a few improvements. - The downloaded articles do not show up it's images properly; they only appear as blank squares with either image links or a small icon. If I'm going to download an article, i would like to have the images it contains downloaded as well. Feature suggestion: Possible future update could include the ability to view the discussion threads on each article; although being able to contribute wouldn't be neccessary. Just viewing.

Great app, but a few problems. Firstly, a way to sync your favorites somewhere in case you want to switch device or reinstall. Secondly, a button to restore purchase of the remove ad's purchase. If these functions are already there, please have that explained somewhere. Also, a way to sync by article rating would be nice. Otherwise, this is the best SCP Reader out there!

Generally a great app, except for some articles that don't display correctly (only the more complex ones, probably due to the built-in WebView). However, recently I've encountered an annoying bug that basically clears my Favorites-list except for a few random entries. Happened twice already. Once that's fixed I'll gladly increase my rating.

I really like the app, and I hope it gets updated more, because its really buggy and is missing features. you cant see which pages you have downloaded, and you cant sort by many options. The main glitch is that every time I try to access my favorites the app crashes, and anything that I had favorited gets unfavorited. you also cant cancel downloads most of the time, and there is no option to search for anything other than SCPs.

Good app for reading up on the wiki, its perfect even, even better than the one other SCP wiki reader on the appstore. I love the layout and ease of the settings, but my only problem is some images don't load so it makes me feel like I'm missing out some? Hopefully it gets fixed soon, but it's really worth it.

Some of the articles don't load correctly: Links, pictures, format screws, etc. However it is a nice to have a separate app to view SCP articles (at the least so I can set a timer on the specific app). It had all the articles and options like favorites or simple ways to arrange articles. I wish it was better, but I bet some of the format screws are hard to translate to the app.

I've always found the wiki to be clunky on my phone, and this is definetely a better way to read scps on the go. You can tell the developers truly care about making this a quality way to read (They even took the time to implement SCP-035's image change, something I originally disregarded in fear I would be disappointed). If I had any criticisms, the ad removal price is a bit high, but the ads are fairly unintrusive as banners at the bottom of the screen. Otherwise, all good.

I'm colorblind. Document attachments and tags are colored in red, so I can't read them. Sometimes I don't even notice they're there as they fade out with the background color. Otherwise this is a fantastic app. If the developer could put an option to use blue instead of red on document attachments and tags, I'll give it a five star review.

Very useful! I am able to read as many SCP files as I want without needing to navigate to Chrome and search around the website. Very easy to navigate through and has tons of SCPs to read. It even contains the joke SCPs! This is a much faster and cleaner version of the original wiki and well made. I like how it also contains all of the audio files, videos, and images the SCPs have. Would highly recommend this when reading through multiple SCPs without having a bunch of tabs open on Chrome.

I've only tried about a few SCP readers and I gotta say that this one is more satisfying than any of the others. It's very well organized and intuitive with a dark mode included. I'll give this app 5 stars if they add an option to search based on tags in the search bar.

This app is amazing, and I can't stop reading all the entries at my fingertips. But there is a bug when I'm downloading the entries for offline use. When I'm downloading them, it would stop at ~900/999 (SCP series 1) and wouldn't continue. I have lots of space and I don't understand why this is happening. Please fix it. Thank you.

I love using this app, and have been for about a year now. I updated it recently and I re-downloaded them all so I could read them without the internet. Now some of them won't load anymore, and when I go into 'downloaded files' the app crashes when I try to scroll through them :,) Please fix this.

It gets the job done, but I really dont like how you cant look at the top rated entries. A lot of my time on the foundation website is reading the top rated of the month on a lunch break or something. So it was dissapointing, because thats all I really wanted the app for. Or maybe I just cant find it?
