First, take (or pick) a picture, the application automatically detects the scrabble board and recognizes the letters on it.
Then, you can enter your letters and get the best solution.
The solution and the score are displayed on the board.
You can visualize the intermediate results and validate or modify them.
Concerning the board detection, you will see 4 colored dots, each of them on a corner of the board. If correct, then validate directly. You can move them if one of them is misplaced.
Concerning the recognition of the board letters, if needed, you can correct the value of a square.
The application can be used to cheat at scrabble threw screenshot of your mobile app but it is not the purpose of this app. It has been mainly developed to help you finding the best word in solo mode by giving you some clues. Or it can be used in multiplayers mode with a physical scrabble board with people agreeing to check to best possible solution in certain configuration.

If you use the application with a screenshot, then you don't have to worry about tips to take a good picture.

The photo is a key element for this app to work well. The board (at least all squares) MUST be inside the picture. It can be not easy to find the good settings to take the photo. Depending on the light and the shining of your board, the flash is prefered or not. It is important that if you see that a significant part of your image is too shiny, maybe you should remove the flash.

The program does work relatively well, although there have been a few instances where I have found a higher scoring word than the program did. On the whole, though, it works well. The reason I only gave one star is that I payed for the "Pro" version which promised extra features, no ads and it would support the developer. While I am sure it supported the developer with a beer or two, there were no extra features and not all the ads have been removed. Highly annoying!
This thing is pretty damn amazing. I had problems at first (the same as others), but it was easily fixed by changing the dictionary to Merriam Webster. The snapshot function & board variety are just too good to be true. I used it to spank Kevin Hart in Scrabble Go 8 times in-a-row for the prize (scored about 500 to 200 each time). He had to be annoyed.
I gave this only 1 star because I followed the directions after watching the tutorial, and the board would constantly show up with every word missing a letter or two. "Stand" would show up spelled as "stnd" and so forth. There would also be letters on the board that were disconnected from everything else, so this resulted in the app not working at all. I am very disappointed in Scrabboard Solver... it didn't "solve" anything for me.
Works the best out of all the apos i have tried. My only complaint is that is doesnt delete the screenshots on my phone even though i have the box checked. Otherwise, all the other apps i have tried i need to fix tilesthat are read incorrectly. This one seems to have minimal issues!
Great app. Computer vision is well executed, pretty accurate, and extremely useful when playing on another device. For the developer: I'd recommend a better UI to clear large amounts of letters from the board in case of an accidental verify.
After jhautot commented on my 2 Star Review I tried again & do now recommend. Problems: 1) This apps brilliant feature [take screenshot of other app crossword board "Pick a Photo" to download into this ap - justify corners, confirm tiles - then this app suggests words] is not obvious. 2) NO WAY TO SAVE. 3) Word score talley is way off. Means you've got to look at all possibilites. 49 point word achieved by using 2 tiles but this ap gave it under 10.
I would give 5 stars but you need to fix the ads screen. The Empires and Puzzles keeps coming up, and once it is up, it can not be closed after the demo.
This would be better if half the words it gives me were valid. Edit: after reading some of the other reviews and a response from the dev, changing the dictionary did the trick it seems.
When using this app it is not showing true picture of the board captured on photo. Random letters appear that are not on original board therefore rendering it impossible to use. I have deleted the app.
I can say that this is the best Scrabble solver app I've ever seen on the Play Store. Since I started using this, my average increased from 18 to 27. I tried another app but it wasn't giving the best words. The app does what it says perfectly.
*Update* After chatting with support about the app not recognising blanc tiles the developer has rectified the issue. The app now works perfectly. 😀 Very good app but it doesn't recognise blanc tiles as the text on those tiles are light blue
Works well 95% of the time but eventually when validating a corner the app deletes numerous letters on the board making it useless. Please fix!
Good app, which could be further improved by inclusion of Portuguese dictionary and better recognition of W characters in the board corners.
wow... the screenshot mode is utter garbage... the only reason I downloaded this was for Words With Friends and out of the 20 words on the board it only picked up on four single letters... And they were scattered all over the place
Gives words that can't be used. The letter next to a word given by this app won't work as a connected word and cause the suggested word to not work. Did this twice in five minutes. Example: Hone is on the board, and Vino is suggested. The O of Vino is shown in the suggestion as next to the H in hone going up from that. The game doesn't recognize the word vino in that slot as valid. The other O in hone is ready in use by another word.
I should have to rewrite a board's name again when I try to saving the board. Can you fix it? And oh by the way.. This is great app! Love it! Thanks
Wow This awesome +-+the absolute best. In the settings for scabble go none of those work right but I did find a way to make it work and I will only share this with the Devoper
There is a problem with the letters it sees in the rack. Instead of what is in the rack it always places "iyyyyyy" in the rack which then has to be changed manually
Excellent app. Not perfect but a great developer which I would rate 6 stars for by itself.
Good idea...BUT...i can take the picture and thats it. When i go to tap the green spots the pic expands and thats it. Please fix

Great app, but the board is not correct for messenger wwf. I would like to invalidate words where the score given is wrong.
Works well when it does. Can't recognize block/letter colors other than yellow.
great features but constantlg reseting back to the hone scresn if hou lose focus makes it to difficult to implement
Damn! Pretty good! The picture from gallery is quite good too!!
ALOT of words that are really words, your system label them as not being words. Not sure where your getting your definitions from, but you should update your system regularly.
I don't normally rate apps but this is a great app with not enough support.
Worked for a day, just stopped I see the letter x across the bottom of the board!

Not just for cheating, folks. The new version of Scrabble no longer easily shows you how you could have done better. Using this can give you great insights into becoming a better player when used after you've played your turn. This app is excellent and doesn't have enough exposure/support. It does exactly what it says, and works every time it's launched. No crashes, no memory leaks. The developer cares and is responsive too! It's very worth trying!
