Samsung Galaxy S II (I9100-T) running CM11. I'm not sure if its just my phone's screen model, or a combination of that and the relative severity of my burn-in issue. I'm sure it's mostly caused by Whatsapp and Chrome on my phone. When I apply a totally white background, I can almost clearly see an inverted colored keyboard and the top banner of my main Whatsapp group as well Chrome's address bar. If anyone managed to revert a similar burn-in please enlighten me :)
I have an LG G5 which was left on overnight and subsequently overheated. When i woke i found that the overheating warning message was burnt into the screen so i paniced and came across this app. After 3 hours my phone is as good as new. Life saver...thankyou.
Woke to find my OPO's screen had come on overnight & my Evernote to-do list had burnt into my LCD. I could see it whenever a blue or gray background filled the frame. I was pissed. Tried this app & it did the trick! Took about an hour for 80% of the burn-in to go away, but then let it run overnight & I no longer see my Evernote ghosting behind Facebook. Thanks, guys!
Obviously I didn't actually expect this to fix 3 years of using the same QWERTY virtual keyboard and status bar about 50 times a day, so it came as no surprise that this app made exactly zero difference. Of course the "your results may vary" disclaimer was the first clue that it would be useless. But it didn't make it any worse....so there's that...
I noticed the icons at the top of my LG G5 had burned in, and so I ran this for an hour. It completely fixed the problem, even though it suggests eight hours minimum. The app itself is well done: clear instructions, buttons that are obvious what they do, no obnoxious ads, etc. I highly recommend it.
A combination of poorly-designed Tasker settings caused my Note 2 screen to remain on forever when plugged in - and some pretty bad burn-in spots from bright lockscreen widgets. This tool didn't fix the problems but I think did help them a bit. I run it periodically on my newer phone to prevent the issues. It would be nice to have it integrated with Daydream to run automatically, and/or settings to have it run on a schedule.
I have problems when i use my new tab s about 2 weeks and it seems different like some shadow and scratches line inside screen, i use it about 24 hours and the screen turn perfectly like new. This very recommend for big super amoled screen :D
Fell asleep with my phone on and woke up to find the alarm screen burned into my display figured I'd gibe this a try before admitting defeat and shelling out for a new display. 8 hours later and this app has saved my phone. Can't recommend it enough.
It helps, it made mine better but didn't cure it fully. This is outlined as soon as you run it, so 5 stars for the app. It doesn't pretend to be a total cure, but it certainly improves it. It is the only one out there, as well.
I had supossed. I let the cellphone runing this app for 8 hours and nothing happened, i tried again and was the same
After using my keyboard on my phone, I noticed that there was an afterglow or shadow. This app removed that shadow within a few hours. I don't even have an amoled device, as I have an LG V10, but their LCD is very similar to amoled. I will be regularly running it now.
My whole leyboard was burned in really bad. I left this on for about 8 hours while I slept and it's totally gone
My two month old S3 mini has started to develop ghosting, upon much research it seems it is an inherent flaw of AMOLED screens and while no two screens are alike, the problem is common. After carefully following the instructions for using it, the end result is that now the ghosting is even more noticeable across a variety of colors. Total crap, avoid it at all costs.
