Screen On

♿ Invaluable! I can't live without this app! I'm in a power chair full time and my phone sits in a RAM Cellphone Mount. It's annoying having to unlock the phone every time I want to glance at it. The chair has a USB charger, except the chair shuts off after 30 minutes and I'd rather not turn it back on every 30 minutes, just to keep my phone's screen on. I can configure the Screen On app to keep my phone's screen on, regardless of power, but it shuts off before the battery is too low! 😎

The only app that keeps the screen on longer than 10 minutes when using Spotify on a Sony device! No- it doesn't look good graphically, but it's not supposed to. Yes- it works!! I chose 600 minutes, told the app to allow Spotify, told the app to look out for Bluetooth devices, and that's it. Just minimize the app, and the screen stays on. Also, yes- your battery will drain quicker, but that's expected. Great Work :)

Since going to Pie I could not figure out how to prevent the screen from dimming while charging even though I have the always-on developer option enabled. I just want it to stay on AND bright while plugged in, and this app takes care of that. Nice options too for how and when it is enabled. Too bad this stuff just isn't integrated into the OS.

Partially Works. I got this for two purposes: I want to keep my screen on while charging unless I manually turn it off; and I want to keep my screen on when certain applications are running. The later function works well. The former function only works randomly and rarely then. I wrote to the developer before writing this review because I know that sometimes an app like this needs to be tweaked to work with certain phones. But I gave the developer time to respond and he ignored me.

Exactly what I needed, works perfectly. Keeps my screen on DIm (but doesn't go off) during long phone calls. I often switch between MUTE-UNMUTE and this makes it so easy - as I don't have to press the power screen to turn on the screen. And the screen is dimmed so it uses very little battery. Good job!

Android 10 version the screen dims and then turns off while on phone calls or speaker phone calls. This app works 100% at keeping the screen on indefinitely or how long you choose during calls. Plenty of settings to make it work the way you want it to work and automatically starts on every phone call and turns off at the end of every phone call if you choose. So many settings you can have it work on any number of apps or all the time or none of the time. Perfect app!

I have a Huawei Mate 9 and this app will work as long as I launch it with power saving mode disabled. Otherwise the screen will still time out. I contacted the developer and with quick response was informed that there is no work around. Still a great app however, so many great features, so I have only deducted one star due to the inconvenience.

Works great. Has lots of nice little features and customisations but most importantly the basics work flawlessly on my S10/Pie (screen stays on, dim function actually works, ease of use to activate/deactivate). Also free and no ads (if you ever do choose to include ads please provide a paid version without ads). Only small improvement I would like is option to Turn Off when clicking the Notification when Screen On is running (like Disable on App Start but when clicking the Notification). Thanks.

Does the job... Disables the inactivity "screen saver" when charging... On Android 10. Settings are confusing though. Suggestion to the developer: add the "i" with the circle around it (bubble help) and a short paragraph explanation for each setting. Overall, I'm thrilled that this app solves my problem! Troy. #

Used to work like a champ when I first downloaded it, but I think an update to my Samsung Galaxy J7 Refine is making it so it doesn't work when it's not charging without constantly reactivating the app. EDIT AND UPDATE: I figured out that you can MANUALLY give app all permissions and force the phone to obey the app. Now, it works like a charm! Second Edit. I thought my trick worked, but the app keeps disabling itself. I need to find a way for it to stay on...

It doesn't work now on Note 9 with Android 10. I've tried to complain to Samsung to no avail. Can you contact them to work with you to fix this? Samsung's idiotic "doze mode" is the worst feature ever. It doesn't allow notifications to get through when in doze mode. We can't disable it. The phone might as well be off.

Excellent app, so easy to use. Very stable, with no bugs, and NO ADS, yay!! Works nicely in the background, once you have adjusted your settings, off it goes, no problems!! I have donated to the Dev, just because they deserve the support for creating this app. Thank you very much.

This i a very good app, except that it should have a better and a more visible icon. I am using Nokia 8, the icon is yellow with a white background so it is sometimes annoying to find the app in the list of apps. It is not so visible as it should/can be, and i will change rating to 5 if this is resolved in the near future. Thank you for this app, it makes a hard day - easier.

if you have both enable on app start and disable on screen off enabled, it glitches. if you close the app with the middle button, not the back button, and then turn off screen, next time you open the app it does not autoenable. otherwise a solid app. also, quick setting tile closes setting drawer when you tap it.

Useless app for Samsung devices! After installing I get the message that this app doesn't work because Samsung has modified Android. I have the most recent fully updated Android version. As the creator of this app already responded: "not on Samsung devices". This is not mentioned and, hence, you will only find out after installing this app on your Samsung device that this app won't work with your fully updated Android version. This is already known for a long time because if you read the reviews carefully you'll notice that all problems are described by owners of Samsung devices. Perhaps even on more devices??? So, actually on what brand of mobile devices does this app work? If it's known that this app doesn't work with some brands, why is there no mention of it???

For whatever reason when I set my screen to not sleep in my device settings, it continues to turn black after 15 seconds. This app fixes that problem. My screen stays on and the use of this app is convenient with an icon to turn it on and off in the notification pulldown.

Extremely useful and easy to use. I have a home screen widget that turns on with one tap. This also works well with Automate.

Very useful customizable options! I have it set in the background so whenever headphones are plugged in, my screen stays on, and when I unplug the headphones it goes back to the 1 minute timeout, or whatever my phone is set for. As easy as that.

I was so excited to see this updated, I've really missed it. Still not working for me though : ( Edit - Thanks for the reply developer : ) This is such a useful app, compared to going through several menu layers just to change the screen time out. I will keep an eye out for updates. Thank you.

This app currently is not working on my Galaxy S9. The phone software went through an update on 02/10/2020. I tried a few other apps similar to this and they don't work either. Was hoping this one would but it doesn't. I will keep this app until it is fixed but disable it for now. Please fix as this looks to be a great app. I will also update my rating. Thanks

Great app and despite the update saying it doesn't work on some devices, it's still working on my Note 10+ with Android 10. (Update) Hasn't worked right since March 4th roll-out of One UI 2.1. Hope there will be a developer update to remedy the situation.

**Changed rating to 5*. Hopefully developer with sort this issue.** Loved this app but its stopped working. No longer does it come on when Bluetooth is connected. It says its working, but it shows no icon or message, and clearly isn't as the screen turns off. Tried reinstalling. All I can assume is the update has stopped it working.

Awesome app, saves me the time to set screen timeout when I start some apps, like a picture viewer that I need to work with for minutes in a row. Be sure to check both start with selected app and stop when app is not running, so it resumes normal screen on time after you close the apps you want to keep screen on. For the app list you need to give permission, which is normal. I used on Andriod 6 , Zenfone Selfie and Andriod 8 LG V20.

Just brilliant straight forward fur what i need (a widget for directly touch once to keep screen on) no ads no confusing useless menu's and settings although not in your face it still has advanced handy stuff if your into that kinda thing😳 5 stars.also noticed dev keeps it updated. Thank you developer. 👍

App does the job. But it randomly turns on and drains my battery. I have to force stop it all the time to keep it from starting on it's own. This just started happening on the last update.

Easy to use. A great variety of options & settings. Seems to be very lightweight. All in all so far a wonderful app with a simple and great design. No ads either. Nicely done.

Had this on my S8+. It worked fairly well. Many times I had to open the app directly to turn it "on." Small inconvenience for the functionality this app provides. I installed it on my Note9 and now my Tab S4. It worked flawlessly on both Oreo and now Pie! Kudos to the devs!

The app kept your screen on, BUT the screen would go so dim to a point that you could no see anything. For example, it is too dim to see the mute button for you to unmute the phone during a conference call.

Used to be great. Useless now. Was a terrific help when listening to music while working out on the trainer. Now it does absolutely nothing (Galaxy S10+). Dev blames it on Samsung, but if it's offered in the Google Play store and doesn't work with the leading Android phone maker, then it's a 1 star app.
