Screen Time Companion App

Review written by kid. Some of the bugs I had earlier were fixed, but it randomly picks times at 10:00 and 10:30 to block apps, Ive written down what days it does it and it is entirely random. It also gives my phone extreme slowdown to the point of my camera being near unusable. It even crashes randomly while I'm doing other things.

Actually a horrible app... every time I try and use my phone It gives me the same,. " cannot use split screen" screen glitch. absolutely horrible and unusable because of it, a buggy mess

I'm a parent and our family has used screentime since 2015. Now it isn't working on our daughters iphone like it worked on her android. We have been trying to deactivate and remove the app and as parents/administrators we can't get it removed!! I hope they stop taking out monthly fees!

Drain all my battery. Yesterday before I went to bed my phone was at 40% and when I woke up it was at 0. Totally do not recommend.

Literally terrible. Drained my battery super fast, I'd be on it for 5 minutes and it'd drop from 100% to 80% so fast. Its super glitchy and doesn't work correctly at all, when my mom would unblock something it would take too many tries to ACTUALLY get it to unblock. Please use something different 😐

It's a horrible app. Everyday it starts to say that I am using split screen (when I'm not) and shuts me out of my apps. The problem doesn't go away when you restart or shut down your phone. You have to force stop the app to get into your other apps. That takes a long time because as soon as you go into settings it shuts you out and says you can't use split screen. The only way you can force stop it is by having to try and click fast on the app multiple times before the bug pops up on your screen

As a kid I think the concept of the app is pretty good because you learn how to organize your time, but there are a lot of glitches and things to improve. it takes an entire day to get a change of settings to take effect (like light out).Sometimes it doesn't even work properly, that means if I use for example Netflix (limited app) for 30 minutes the app says i didn't even open it so it's basically useless. The last thing is that it cost 4€/month wich is not worth it considering all the glitches.

This app is not ideal for a parental control app. Whenever I requested more time and it got accepted, it never actually gave me the time. It glitches out my phone and makes it slower. It drains my battery quicker than when I'm actually using it. It stresses me out when it locks 90% of my apps while I'm doing something. I think it would be nice to give a warning before locking everything. It has messed up my notifications as well. It either sends notifications VERY late or doesn't send them.

Although this app does help me spend less time on my phone, I really don't like it. it has too many bugs and I can't stand them. For one, when bedtime blocker is on and I try to see my notifications tab to turn on flashlight so i can go to the bathroom, the notifications tab won't stay down. Another thing that has been happening lately: I have not been on YouTube at all today, but every time I go into an app it records time for both that app and YouTube even if I'm not on it? plz fix these bugs

I get the idea and concept of the app, and I think it's great, me being a kid who got his phone recently, you can imagine how addicted I am to it. But the app has a few flaws. For example, the lights out feature does not let you do anything after a set time. This means if an emergency were to occur, I could not dial 911, family members, etc. and then we could be screwed. Also the app sometimes glitches and says that all the apps are blocked. (No I did not run out of time)

If it wasn't for the glitches that destroyed this app, it would be 4 stars. The app worked well (as it was supposed to) when we first downloaded it. I learned to live with the app despite some of its short comings. But then, the glitches came, our parents could no longer gives us extra time and I even got them to un-block the game I was trying to play but it still kept getting blocked. I've put up with this for about 2 and a 1/2 years, im sick and tired of this buggy mess, please fix it.

I like the app because it helps keep time away from the screen. The cut off though I have a different opinion you can't finish what your doing and the new update on my tablet is causing a problem so I can't use split screen to watch videos people send me. Personally I don't think it should be 2.3 stars because kids are giving 1 star to make it look bad. I am a kid!

Overall is okay but then it start glitchy, my phone start becoming laggy my battery draining and then even though I didn't used any apps anymore it said the apps is being run and used ? Pls fixed this my dad think I didn't sleep even I am sleeping. This can cause misunderstanding on the relationship . Fixed the bug

I hate this app legit it says I used my gadget for 2 mins but I've been using it for 22 minutes and it says the screen is paused even though my parents did nothing I hate it

Time limit aside, this app’s pretty bad. When my parents update certain settings, it often won't load and my dad and I have to restart our devices, or it doesn't change for a long time. This also has terrible data and battery management and eats up my space, but I can't uninstall it. It also randomly locks my device at times because an app tapped is blocked but I can't exit the error screen. It is frustrating that the parent app feedback/reviews is the only one that STLabs pays attention to.😤😤

So laggy on my children's phones sometimes they can't even open they're call app and it run their battery so fast for no reason and for me it's really hard to control their phones. This app definitely needs a rework

Hey everybody I have found a way to deactivate and delete it off any kids phones without a parent doing it. Do you ever have it when a notification comes up in your phone and says screen time is using battery? Click that when your phone unlocks and and then click it and it should say uninstall. Now it should uninstall in 30 or so seconds and now you dont have screen tine on your phone! Your welcome all you kids looking through the reviews

This app is so terrible, when I try to see the apps I can use, it will glitch out and keep showing me the blocked screen time message screen, also it will say something is blocked even when it's not

This would be a great app except it asks for the "apps that can appear on top" permission EVERY 15 SECONDS. No matter how many times I, as the parent, turn the permission on, it always comes back. It's frustrating when I'm trying to tweak the settings from his phone. Fix this please, as it happens on both my sons' phones.

This apps idea was good but the execution was horrible. This app has a ton of glitches. One of the most notable ones is that it will randomly open up a screen that says "google is blocked" when Google is not being opened. Another issue with this app is it uses up a ton of data and drains the battery quickly. Would not recommend there are better apps that work a lot better.

Horrible app honestly. My parents have resorted to pausing my phone for even the smallest things, like forgetting a fork while I wash the dishes or something. I have to choose between talking to my friends and literally any other thing I could do on my phone. I only get two hours a day (my limit has been getting shorter and shorter the longer I've had it). The YouTube app randomly drains my Screen Time while I'm not even on the app or even on my phone at all. It makes my phone a bit slower too.

It feels really... impersonal. Almost designed to breed resentment. It barely warns you when you're about to run out of time and it gives you ZERO leeway once you do. It's also really clunky and buggy as all hell -- half the time when the parent app gives more time it doesn't update and stays locked out, even after rebooting child's device. Started multiple fights between me and my mom. Also I know three different ways around it. Use a different parental control app. This one is terrible.

I have had multiple issues with this app. I have had to re-pair my kids devices several times and one still does not work. I have also had to verify my subscription a few times which then restricts what I can control. For $75 it has been more work and headache than I've liked. The potential is there, but far from perfect

It's terrible its controlling and doesnt allow any trust and it have so many defects just having it on your phone
