ScreenRotate (Small App)
A Small App using the Sony Add-on SDK http://developer.sonymobile.com/knowledge-base/sdks/sony-add-on-sdk/ to add an icon to the small app tray that lets you toggle the "Auto-rotate screen" setting. This is good if you don't like to have autorotate on all the time, but want to temporarily go into auto rotate mode when viewing images in Album, or similiar.
Small apps extension for Sony products.
It's extra good in situations like looking at images in Xperia Album, because the status bar is not available (since Album is a full screen app), but the multitasking button (and conversely the ScreenRotate Small App) is always available!

Great app. Very handy. However, seems to have stopped working after the Xperia ZL received the 4.2.2 update. It does say Portrait and Landscape however doesn't lock the orientation. If auto rotate was disabled, it doesn't actually toggle the option. Looking for a quick fix. Was working perfect on 4.1.2. Would really love to have it working on 4.2.2
No need to worry about notification bar shortcut with this. A small app not more than 40kb.. It really is a solution
It was good when it worked. I just tried using it to disable auto rotation while the screen was rotating, and it turned it off, saying so, but then turned it back on again! After this, the app stopped working; now it has no effect. I'm using an Xperia M 4.1.2.
Since sony didn't provide this essential tool by default, this small app does the job wothout fail, also fits perfectly fine with other small app icons....love this app so much. GOOD JOB!!
I updated my phone to latest version auto rotate screen doesn't work and this app is useless for me this too doesn't work
Worked great until I did a Factury Reset and then re-installed this app (it no longer works after Factory Reset; on android version 4.0.3)
I was annoyed when my phone updated and auto rotate wasn't working so I gogled it and thus app popped up so I'm glad it wasn't only my phone but thus app works amazing love it now i could watch YouTube videos the right way and not on half the screen....
App is fine but not working, worked only first time after install, never worked again Its issue with aap i believe not firmware.
Finally, don't have to go back to home screen or setting. Thank you so much :) you did awesome

Perfect small application, very useful for when I'm lying in bed but don't want the screen to rotate on texts, but I do for YouTube and such.
Often causes a permanent system notification ("Small apps are running") after using it to toggle rotation. Restarting phone is the only way I know to get rid of it.
Great response from the small app dev. Didnt work on 4.2.2 initially, but now it's working after the second 4.2 JB update on 1st of Aug. Thanks!
This is really great but would love to see it toggle between auto and whatever the current orientation is instead of auto and portrait. This way I can lock to landscape or lock to portrait.
This app is very useful, deserves a 5 star. But it needs an update to function properly with the jelly update 4.2.2
Love this one. I always use this option whenever I don't want/wanted to use landscape screen in a flinch!
After the update this app is broken. However, under display settings/quick settings you can make auto rotate a toggle under notification drop down
the bug has apparently been reintroduced with yesterday's fw upgrade, but the app still doesn't work. I would be grateful if you could fix it ;)

Needs improvement.. Doesn't respond on Xperia M (running 4.1.2) after selecting portrait mode at times. Once I go to the actual screen rotate page from Settings, it unfreezes. Pls fix. I'll capture the scenario the next time it happens.
Not working after clik landscape to potrait, just stay in the landscape. But its works before update to jb 4.2.2. I hope be fixed bug,becoz this app very useful.
In z1 it cannot do landscape main screen.

On android 4.2
After using my N7 with jellybean for a year I instantly missed being able to easily lock/unlock the rotation on my Xperia SP when I got it. This little app does the job almost perfectly! If it worked as a rotation lock and not a toggle between portrait/unlocked it would be 5*.
