ScreenSynth Free

ScreenSynth is a keyboard, fretboard or fingerboard for playing music. You can connect to a MIDI synth app/device or use the app's internal DX7 synthesizer for sound output.

Features:
- Configurable note layouts based on piano/fretboard/fingerboard instruments (e.g. piano/guitar/bass/violin).
- Touch force sensitive*, for piano-like control over the volume of each note played.
- Drag your finger over the screen to create vibrato or bend/gliss sounds between any pair of notes. Use this to play bluesy note bends or experiment with microtunings or carnatic music.
- Connect to other synthesizers (apps or devices) using MIDI output**.
- Uses a low latency*** emulator for the DX7 line of synthesizers to produce a wide range of sounds.
- Your own DX7 6-operator FM patches can be loaded and used (full version only)
- Can show you how to play songs by highlighting sequences of notes that should be played.
- No ads or data harvesting!

This is the Free version of ScreenSynth - please try it out! In the Full version you can also:
- Import extra synthesizer patches (.SYX files) so you can add more instrument sounds.
- Import more songs (.MIDI files) that you can then learn how to play them.
- Unlimited MIDI output to other synth apps/devices (limited to 30 second intervals in this Lite version)

The full version is available here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.hottwaj.screensynth

Enjoy!

*Force touch is only available if your device supports it - most phones and tables do.
**Requires Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later.
***Low latency audio is device dependent, but nowadays is supported by almost all devices.

It's not bad but why o why not have a record function. It's not alone, many descent apps let themselves down by not having a record function. It means you can only use the app in a live setting & not use in collaboration with other music production apps. Such a shame

Great App!!! Thank you very much for this App... I've few suggestions: 1. Could you please add an option to disable the "Force touch"? Sometimes, even for the same pressured touch, it produces different velocities. 2. If you could add reverb, it would be extremely great... Once again, thank you very much for giving us this fantastic app.

It sounds kinda crappy, but it got multi touch and latency is good. Going to try it through my guitar fx, definitely a usable sound creation app. Thanx, I appreciate your work.

Best app ever for Android. But try to add veena sound. And there must be an option for disabling force touch. Coz at times the force tapping sensor is less accurate in my mobile.

Thanks for this app. This is exactly what Im looking for. Working great in moto g5 plus. I'm trying to play indian Carnatic ragas bending pitch. I will purchase full version. Pros - audio latency negligible. (I couldn't find better in android) congrats. - force touch - 2 Suggestions for future enhancements 1.dynamic volume control for each note (after touch like feature). I believe it's possible with force touch. Or roli's noise app like features. If it's possible can u add a skin in which piano keys as background image instead of bubbles so that moving in y axis can control volume of each note. 2.to use this as midi controller. 3.to select range of keys in better way. E.g. if i want to play keys from c3 to c5. I.e if i don't need lower keys then I will get bigger bubbles. Now Im unable to hide lower octaves.

sound can be improved but latency is very good! Probably the only app usable as an instrument on Android.. (most popular apps have latency problem)

Loved the app and paid for the full version but now all expansions like recording and more voices require further payments. Shame the developer is so greedy. This app will go nowhere with that attitude
