The app is completely unable to find the four red dots in the corner of the boogie board and hence unable to scan the whole picture. The quality of the images it does take is beyond appalling. Frustrating beyond belief. We just take normal photos of the board - simpler and more effective

Needs a lot of work. There very little user direction in how to get a capture. Some geometric regions will appear briefly when hovering the phone above the boogie board, but why? The one time it did seem to capture the screen it was very inaccurate. If I'm doing it wrong, it'd be nice to know why.

I can't scan properly. I suggest that you have specific size or detect the red dots in the four corners of the boogie board, since this is specific to this type of boogie board only. That would make scan faster rather than keep on detecting odd shapes.

It's a cool idea for saving the drawings you make on the boogie board, but the screen recognition doesn't recognize the boogie board very well and often times skews the image. It usually takes 3-4 attempts to capture a good version of the drawing

Yep, terrible. The capture mechanism just doesn't work. I don't know why the app doesn't just index off of the 4 red circles. The images are very clear and crisp, but they just don't get the whole screen.

The app just doesn't work. It never found the board to take the pic and I tried in different rooms with different lighting. A huge fail. Don't waste your time. Just enjoy the board and skip the app

It will not take a picture of anything on the scribble n play boogie board. It would be really fun if it worked. I tried it on both a MotoX and Samsung Galaxy S8. Does not work, in the same way, on either phone. I'll be uninstalling.

Doesn't scan well. The scan box jumps around and doesn't make a square. It jumps around. I have tried in different light different backgrounds, heights.. can't get it to capture the entire picture

The app is huge (just over 67 MB) and yet can't do ... anything. I didn't buy this product for the app/sharing so I'm not bothered by it (my kids just love to scribble on it), but if it's important to you, just be aware that the app renders nothing but shapeless blobs with jagged edges.

This app is terrible. It never gets a good picture. You shouldn't advertise the scan option if it doesn't work. My kids love drawing on their boards, but I am very disappointed with the app.

Not much more than a gimmick. Hopefully a future version of the Scribble N Play tablet will include wireless transfer to your phone rather than depending on just your camera.

The image is captured without acknowledging the surrounding area. It only captures what it thinks is right. Foolish app

Takes a picture, "scans" for a while and then produces an entirely white image. No instructions, not even sure what it's supposed to do.

expected alot more quality. pics come out horrible and nothing like what is drawn. lines all fat when on screen they are thin. dont bother buying one. ive wasted my money.

Delete your app.. hasn't been updated in almost 2 years. Probably shouldn't cost 25$ for the simple "tech the scribble board is"

Do NOT download!! Waste of time! This app doesn't work! False advertising by the company taken to the next level. Can I get a partial refund for my boogie board?

Ang. E. Jan 18, 2022

Misleading!! I CAN LITERALLY TAKE BETTER CAPTURES WITH MY PHONE CAMERA.. DOES NOT CAPTURE REMOTELY CLOSE TO THE ADVERTISED SCAN OF A ASTRONAUT.

doesn't capture pictures. not sure if I'm using it correctly because there is no instructions.

Jen. B. Jul 10, 2020

Love the concept. Taking a picture of the result is way harder than it should be!

Lis. R. Dec 14, 2019

Doesn't pick up on the whole picture or any picture, if that.

Sta. T. Apr 9, 2020

I wish it was a little more accurate as far as what is in the board compared to what it captures.

not a fan, app keeps crashing when trying to modify

This has to be the worst app I have seen. I don't know why they would bother to advertise this on the packaging for the boogie board.

Ran. L. Apr 22, 2020

Worked the first day, then crashes every time since.

Doesn't scan. Very frustrating

Mat. S. Dec 25, 2021

Can I give it zero stars? Crashed my phone repeatedly.

ber. k. Jun 23, 2021

This will not scan no matter what you do.

A. G. u. Apr 23, 2018

Almost works. You have to stage the scribble with just the right lighting. Then, you have to wait for the app to draw a polygon around the doodle it detects, which is fleeting. Then, if you can snap while the poly persists, you can wait 2 minutes for the app to render the sketch. It doesn't get every stroke, and it interprets edge-shadows as strokes. Which leaves us wondering if this sketch was so important to capture. Just take a picture. Your kid will never wait for you to get a capture with this app.

As others have said, the app is unusable. It fails to recognize the entire board, and even if you can get it to partially recognize even a small portion of the board (and manage to get a picture before it stops working), the rendering of the drawing is atrocious at best.

The app doesn't work. It doesn't scan the images like it says it would. We're returning the boogie board and deleting this app. What a waste.
