Delightful little puzzle game from the DS era. I only have 2 problems with it. 1. It seems inherently lazy to repackage old levels and sell them as something new. If you've played Super Scribblenauts before, you've played a good portion of this. 2. There is no option to turn off the ability to shake your phone and delete all custom objects. I've played multiple times and slightly adjusted my phone to get the pop-up and it's quite annoying. For the price and for newcomers, this is a good buy.
It's fun but I don't like the fact that after I paid for the game I reach a point where I have to pay more to play more. In order to get the crown thing you have to play an additional 3 times and NOT reuse the same things, yet in some of the puzzles the items needed are seriously specific. It adds a really good challenge to the game. Just wish there was more.
It's a great puzzle game with multiple solutions and it advises you to get them all. It was a games I wanted for a long time but the price is unsettling with how cheap it is when you first load up it was quite misleading in having to pay for full game but it game me the next 2 and the next when compiled the previous. MUST PLAY for fun and to improve your brain age
Some of the levels are bugged and Maxwell doesn't move well on the touch screen. An example of a bug is that on level 3-1 you are asked to make potions specifically. However, if you do the bonus 3-in-a-row challenge it doesn't let you use the word "potion" anymore, but the game won't accept any other drink/object as a correct answer.
The game was ok but it got boring after a while plus the levels are so easy and some are seemingly impossible. Youre limited of choices you want to do. i understand you cant put everything but theres barely anything you can make. Buy the unlimited or just dont get scribblenauts at all.
One dollar for the game, another dollar for the world pass, which more than doubles the game's amount of levels to play. Two dollars isn't a lot of money and the character packs are purely cosmetic. I'm baffled by the reviews calling this game expensive. It's an amazing classic that I wholeheartedly recommend.
Amazingly fun game. Unfortunately, there are lots of bugs in this version, at least for me. Most notably, buttons and controls stop working in many situations, meaning I have to restart the game. Also, small objects often are impossible to move around
Really Fun to play, I got this a while back and I don't regret it though I do hate that if there is a way to survive something like a nuke and you're in a bunker, you still die but that's mostly in Freeplay. Story should not be too hard for a average playthrough to beat. But other than the Freeplay issue. 5 out of 5.
It's a bad port of a great game. Sadly, this is the only way to legally play original scribblenauts these days. Moving small objects is annoying, audio cuts out, game crashes sometimes. But puzzles themselves are great and game runs smoothly without crazy battery drain.
This game used to be much more fun, but they have added so many useless skin packs that you feel like you have to pay outside of the normal price, you are limited with what you could create and levels aren't very flexible there's only really one certain way to go, outside of a few exceptions. I feel like you should only get this game for a dollar or go with the better choice of Scribblenauts unlimited.
The puzzles can get a bit repetitive, there also way too easy at times. The game could definitely use a little work in the animation department but other than that its a great game. The reply value is almost limitless.
The game was ok. There weren't a lot of levels, the only way to get more levels was to pay for them. I didn't want to pay more for what I've already payed for because the game cost money. Also, some of the levels were a little dumb. Otherwise, the game was pretty fun and I enjoyed for like 1 day. I don't know if I should un install or not???
Fun for all of 5 mins and then gets repetitive, no replay value from what little time I played it due to the repetitiveness (all you do is create simple stuff to help an NPC but very little leeway for creative solutions). My 5 year old daughter finds this game boring compared to the old DS version. For what it is, it should be a free app with in-app purchases.
This is a very solid and original game, nice graphics, good controls, and the game is extremely good at making you think outside the box. The only problem with me is the fact that everything doesn't come together when bought, but a solid game altogether.
I really enjoy this game but the puzzles are pretty easy and there are barely any things to create rather than rainbow animals and monsters. But how is it that you have to pay for more planets when you have bought the game. It makes almost no sense i bought the game and i have to pay for more of the game?
It's a good enjoyable game if you like solving puzzles, the only problem I had was that I spent $1.29 on the game and then had to spend another $1 just to buy the rest of the world's, the game only gives you 5 and expects you to pay to allow you to play 12 more world's. This is some EA tactic.
Remix is quite glitchy and very exploitable. I made a 'resurrective burning man' and dropped him in a pool on the start screen playground and the game went crazy. The next time I restarted the app, I got a white screen and the game became unplayable, forcing me to reinstall the app.
I know this game was only 99 cents, but it wasn't even good by the standards of a free game. Some levels were ridiculously easy while others seemed almost impossible. What I hated the most (aside from the game being very short and seeming like it was just a demo to convince you to buy more games that aren't worth the money) was that the hints were not "hints." They just gave you the solution. I loved the DS version because it made me think. This one didnt even give me a chance to think
This game is fantastic! It has so much stuff that you can create, the levels are good and they have you have to think about how to solve them, but the reason why I didn't give this a 5 is because there is a lot in this game, it's just that there should be like a level creator or something since there are only 3-5 (planets?), otherwise this is a great game, I recommended my friends to download it
Not as fun as the Unlimited version which has more places to explore, allows editing objects and even gives better effects from adjectives like "sparkling". This game is what you would get if you mixed a gameboy advanced with scribblenauts and spreaded around microtransactions all over a part of it.
Its a overall GOOD game but it needs improvement its a really funny game like you can spawn almost anthing you want but sometimes it lags and has glitches and it takes WAY to long to install it. So if you want the full package you should get the 4.99$ one.
It's a really good game! but it has a bug, when you write any adjective that changes the color of the object/person, it turns invisible. "petrified zeus" or "red eel" turn invisible and it's really hard to find said object to delete it
I personally like this because it still has the tone and style of the DS games. It dosnt have level editors and working time machines though, because the game is small. It falls behind because its still just an iphone 3 game with not much meat to the Mc Donalds burger sized game. If you want a steakhouse burger sized game, Scribblenauts Unlimited is also on the store.
I love playground mode SOOO much! It's fun and the puzzles can challenge your mind..☺️ but.. it takes up a lot of mb! Whenever I delete stuff to re-install it, it makes the number higher!!! 😠 Please fix that ☹️
Not what I was expecting. I expected for you to draw characters. (e.g. Baldi's Basics). Warner Bros. Needs to add a feature where you can draw characters. Make it like the computer version! How I feel about the game:😞. Please update the game where you can draw characters. Thanks!
As far as I can tell, you have to pay 1 dollar to get world 6 and up. I already paid a dollar to get the game, I played the whole game through the first day I played, up to world 6, and it was just not very fun. It was pretty dissapointing. I guess it's a bit of a money drain because you also have to pay to get characters and playgrounds and, like I said, levels.
Glitchy, poorly-made, difficulty ranges from "insulting my intelligence" to "I can't solve this and I'm probably 7 years older than the target audience". Needs a jump button; camera is too zoomed-in; difficult to control and around world 12 or 13 the game just becomes too samey. Running out of space so case in point for the glitches: in one level a hyena clips through a steel door consistently; impossible to keep it safe from the lion.
This game wasn't very entertaining and is a complete disappointment compared to Scribblenauts Unlimited. It's a paid game and isn't worth the money for it. It is also filled with microtransactions and you have to pay for most of the worlds. Scribblenauts Unlimited also has more creative freedom and is better than Scribblenauts Remix in every way.
Playing this really brings me back to playing the older Scribblenauts games! Plenty of fun levels, and so many creative ideas that you can bring to life! The puzzles aren't too hard, but two hints are still helpful to have. The controls can be a bit quirky, though, and some levels kind of force you to use wings to get anywhere. There are few free avatars, and you'll end up spending 4x more money on avatars than on the base game. All that aside, this is an enjoyable game that I would recommend!
