Scrittor - A simple note app

I absolutely love the app, it has plenty of helpful features and the ability to customize the colour scheme is a very nice touch. Although, I find that the taskbar above the keyboard is irritating. It's clunky and doesn't really provide any features that're necessary for when I write my notes. I was perfectly fine with having all of those options out of the way at the bottom of the note. Of course, I'm not going to stop using the app over this. It's truly a great notes app with many pluses.

love it! beautifully designed and functions well except for the odd issue with touch recognition. in the future i would really like to see formatting options, e.g. bold, italics, font size. then it would be perfect. edit: also i really wish it wouldn't exit out of the note you're in when you alt-tab (idk what it's called on mobile) out of the app. that's frustrating because then you have to find the note, go back in, scroll down, find where you were up to... that's the only big issue i have. everything else is just extra features that would be nice.

This is a really nice app. It's fast and not laggy and have a clean look to it. I like all the features, especially the fingerprint lock integration. I think it just misses a few things like the option to change font sizes, font styles, as well as a undo and redo feature. All in all a very nice and handy writing app. Update* lost my notes because of an error in restoring cloud data.

I've tried a few "simple" note apps, and this one has the right amount of features, the right design, and the best looking dark mode. It's tough for a note app to make it feel like the keyboard blends into the background, as if you are just writing on paper...but Scrittor does that for me somehow, and that's what convinced me to keep using it for nightly journaling.

I really like the app, but I don't like the fact that in the settings, you can't choose to not display text. I don't like this because i have very personal stuff in my notes and don't like keeping things displayed in the open, the title is enough. Also, please make the save button bigger. Otherwise, I find this app very good, I especially like the extra dark mode, it's a nice touch.

absolutely genius! beautiful, minimalistic and fast! I love the layout and structure of how you interact with the app. The only downside I feel is the cross platform aspect as it cause major disruptions on the long run. If it had a web presence with the use of an account or an app for Windows, would be beautiful! i would've buy it in the case of a cross platform feature!

I love the simplicity and the look it has. I'm currently using it as my journal. (I've switched around journal apps for years now and I'm hoping to stick to this one.) I'd like the option to apply more than one tag to an entry, though, if you don't mind me suggesting. Also, I think there's something wrong with the bullet tool; when I tap on it, it only adds a bullet to the bottom-most space.

Really simple layout with easy access and protection. Perfect for people simply looking to write down thoughts, ideas, journals, etc. The format makes it really clear and easy to use overall with little to complain about. If I could point out one thing in particular I would want, I would like to have a little color bar or dot next to each of the notes to see which category it fits into without going into the folders. Past that just minor minor things, overall incredible app.

It's really nice; it's simple and the interface is really nice to look at. What I really wish was different though is that the notes are organised by the date you created them and not the date you last edited them, which means scrolling through lots of notes you haven't edited in a while to find one you were just working on. It gets really annoying really fast.

I downloaded this app because it looked so nice on the playstore and I loved that it has fingerprint protection. I also loved it while using it — until it crashed. Out of nowhere the app just closed and a popup appeared saying "Scrittor has stopped," and when I tried to press report, nothing happened. I tried to open it again later and the same thing happened! Now I can't access my notes because the app keeps crashing. Please help fix this!!! I would love to use it if I was ABLE to use it

I wanted a simple notes app to replace my factory default (which copy/pasted in html). Scrittor really appealed to me. It resembled my old app but had a cleaner UI and nice dark colours. However, whenever I'd switched to another app (eg Chrome) in the middle of editing a note, the app would auto save, close my note and return to the overview screen. If I opened another app while scrolling down my notes, it would lose the spot where I paused my browsing. This was frustrating and a deal breaker.

The app is simply delightful, but the latest UI update makes the app seem a bit foreign, and I personally feel that the app would look cozier if you decreased the font size of the text in the category tab. The way I see it, notes apps are supposed to be comfortable and cosy, we have to feel the urge to invest our time and thoughts in the app; and doing so would be better in a more comfortable environment. Just a personal suggestion. Cheers :)

This app is perfect for those who simply want to have a note app that can organize them by categories and nothing more. The interfqce is completely clean and intuitive. If you're writing a lengthy note and need to save, simply press back and it saves automatically. No need to scroll to the top for the save button.

I love this app, the customization feature, the themes, and it's so practical. Can you add 1 more feature, add pictures option? I think this feature could make Scrittor a much better note app, because I need it when I don't have time to write but only to take some pictures of things my professors just write, and I always forget the pictures if they're left on the camera roll (not on the note app). So I think this feature would be very useful :)

This is the second time the app has lost its Google Drive backup, displaying a "Initialisation failed" message on the cloud backup screen, even after reinstalling. There were no changes to the app permissions or access to my Drive, it still has both. The import/export storage backup is not functional either, only restoring the categories backed up and no notes. Other features work well which is why I've stuck with the app since the first loss of backups, but I won't be staying this time.

Exactly what I need. Simple, no fuss, and has PIN protection. Just 2 nags: 1. The app doesn't ask for PIN when I quit with the home button, I have to clear the app from the recent apps 2. Font selection would be nice. Typewriter font is a nice touch, but maybe some choices won't hurt. Add some serif and sans-serif alternatives and it's top notch.

No support My phone's fingerprint sensor stopped working and since then I haven't been able to access any of my notes. I emailed the developer twice (each time a few months apart). There is currently no option to bypass the fingerprint with your pin and the app doesn't recognise that it is disabled (the option to enable fingerprint lock is completely gone from device settings). I really liked using the app before, simple interface etc. but now I've lost all my notes and so can't recommend ☹️

I've been using scrittor for several months and I simply love it. However, It started presenting problems on the cloud syncing. I've restored my cellphone and since then I cannot sync my google drive account. I've tried reinstalling the app, but the problem persists. Please, tell me if there is something I can do to fix it

Better than similar apps in its (free) options to backup notes and set a PIN. The big drawback is that it lacks Markdown support, so no italics or bold text. If that were implemented, I'd give it 5 stars, but as it stands: a decent app competing with a whole load of decent apps. Free, private, and it gets most of what I want done.

In love with the minimalist look of the application. The thing I most liked about this application is it's very simple and light weight. Everything is absolutely perfect. But there is one feature missing and that is Cloud storage option. Please if you can bring this feature in upcoming update then this application will on number one.

The aesthetics of this app are second to none. Obviously you can write and save notes quickly and easily. One thing I'd absolutely love to see in the future, would be widget support. Having the written notes on a widget on my home screen, with the same aesthetics, would just be incredible.

The design is very nice, it's organized and the categories work really well. Unfortunately, it has a big problem with backup. I got a new phone recently and I'm still not able to restore my notes from my Drive backup. It says the notes were saved, but when I try to restore it says it restores 0 notes, when I had 35. Please fix it

Overall pretty good, being able to export files to a "docx" format would be great. Clicking de "✓" with the mouse doesn't work, it only works with the touch screen (finger touching). Adding more fonts/being able to use custom fonts (.ttf files) would be a good addition to the app.

Very simple and useful app! Love the fact that there are no ads and it's free. Keep up the good work! I'll give this all five stars if you provide an option to change the font style. Because I absolutely hate typewriter font... Apart from that, amazing job! Happy to know that developers from my country can make such amazing apps!
