tide selection does not work. Weather selection does not work. Send emails and you get a generic response back. " were working on it " . Yea right. Sea tow is inviting a Federal class action lawsuit. I hope no one gets hurt listening to them advertise that it's the best app on the " radio check channel ".
the only thing the app is good for is seeing when your membership expires, giving your GPS cords when you call in, and easy access to the call in for assistance. The weather and tides information doesnt work, at least not for Florida or North Carolina.
Extremely difficult to use. I have found it impossible to get current or forecast info for sea conditions for a planned trip out of Port Canaveral. For that matter, if im not actually in port Canaveral i can not get current weather conditions. Giving up and going to some other app.
August 2021 and the Sea Tow app continues to disappoint.!! 💩💩 You would think that after my orginal 2016 review Sea Tow would improve their app or reach out and ask why I rated the app a 1. It should be minus 10. The app is terrible!!!! Profile settings cannot be changed. Cannot add or change my cell number. Cannot add my home port. Cannot get tide information for Cape May, NJ.
this is absolutely horrible. just switched from BoatUS to Sea Tow and can't even use this app. I'm in Florida and it only lists Redwood CA. I can't find tides for places i go. Thank God the BoatUS app still works and is free. Download BoatUS instead.
My home screen on my SeaTow App shows Redwood City, California. I live in St. Petersburg, Florida!! How can I change that????Actually I also added Clearwater & Tampa because when I try to access Tide information the app responds" No tide stations for St. Petersburg, Tampa, or Clearwater." What's with this bad response .Useless.
Tide and weather functions don't work. Apparently the app developers pay no attention to the poor reviews since it's been over a year and there has been no update or fix to the functionality.
I just re-registered and this doesn't work. I want tides and weather for Delaware and I get mis-information from California and Florida and other places. I need conditions in the state I'm in It won't let me access local information. it says it doesn't exist, but it did last week. still not downloading data 5/20/19. still has Redwood, CA when i want DE. says no tides in DE, 5/22, 6/2 still redwood ca not lewes, de.still f###ed up 6/20/19.
the app would be much better if it updated your expiration date after renewal. We have been very fortunate not to have had any occasion where we needed help, but we feel secure just having it. Thank you Sea Tow, for being our help should we need it!
horrible app. just logged on to check the weather and today is March 14th. It brought up weather from the week of Feb 20th. Im confused at how the weather is a month old. Then i decided to check the tides and it showed no tide data for my area. I guess Virginia Beach has no tides. What a sorry app.
This app does not work most of the time. Seatow has been good the one time I used it. Did get a baic membership from usboaus when I bought a dingy at West and downloaded they're app and really liked it. Might consider them when renewal comes up.
It doesn't show weather, tides or anything from where I live.. Miami, FL. It's set to some city in California where I've never been and won't change.
This app really went bad after update. It has me on the west coast in California instead of SC and won't let me fix it. Why try to change something when it was working already? I think next year I will find a new company like Boat US to go to.
Constantly crashing and for years. Thought it was my old phone but just bought a new Galaxy S10+ and the same problem. Tide doesn't work nor does the weather. Sept 2019.
Can't go any lower than one star, damn! Worked ok the first time I used it, but now it keeps giving me the weather from a week ago and won't update it. Half the time it times out on my phone and won't work right when it does load. Hope it doesn't fail when I really need it to work.
