Sean's Big Timer

If this was a paid app, I'd rate it at 3 to 4 stars. Free and no ads has it to be 5 stars to be fair. Sure there's room for imrovement, if a pro version had more options I'd be happy to pay. I too had a problem accessing the landscape mode, slide up from the bottom and rotate to landscape, there should be an icon to change it, but it has to be done again when you restart the app. Reset has no option to reset to previous timer setting. Did I mention it's fee and no adds. Thank you Sean.

The last update ruined the font. It's now bigger but looks bad and the setting to change to different fonts has gone. It doesn't actually look like any of the screenshots any more. Would be nice if there were other colour choices too. Otherwise it functions as described, shame about the update, I'd have scored it higher before.

So-so. Prior to the Oct 2019 update it was FANTASTIC. I really liked the big timer. After the Oct update, the accuracy and reliability disappeared. The tone changed to something quieter (👎). When the timer was running behind another app or apps it couldn't keep accurate time count. Set it for 4 minutes then go to another app and 4 minutes turned into 7 minutes then dragged on to 15 minutes. I opened the timer, it hadn't finished counting 4 min. Feb 2020 update= app no longer works, just blank

Just installed, and it looks great. I needed a large, bright display to time firework run times. The simple operation, the user adjustable color and brightness are awesome. I will update this review after working with it. For now just wanted to say Thank you, and "well done". The simplicity, and doing exactly what it it's intended to do is appreciated.

Great, except: Would like the option to count down to zero and STAY on zero, not start counting up. Would like the option to reset to previous setting. Actually, if it went to zero and then reset to the previous countdown, that would be awesome. Otherwise, it's PERFECT.

I love it. Works great for my needs. I will ask for a sound with the timer. Like tik,tik,tik . For times you cant look at the timer but then you can still count on the sound. Thanks. For this app.

Beautiful timer - but display won't stay on. It's not really usable as a speech timer in that case... Would love it with option to stay on. And it would be perfect to have the option to change color at certain times as indicator, for example for speeches at toastmaster

I've only used the timer function but it's very handy in the darkroom. Saves me trying to count slowly to myself. The only thing o can think would improve the timer function is if the start arrow and other screen bits coukd be the same colour as the numbers - for example red, if you select red colours.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. I can actually see this timer from a reasonable distance. Customization is a plus also. This is the coolest timer I have ever seen.

Perfect solution!! I wanted a timer/ stopwatch app w BIG numbers for @ home workout routines. ✅ Easy to see ✅ Colour & font options ✅ (I personally prefer the contrast of the WHITE control buttons, over the same colour as the timer.) Easy settings ✅ NO ADS!! ✅ SEAN, THANK YOU!!

Would be better if the timer adjusted to lengthwise when rotating the phone. On a Pixel 5 the option to rotate doesn't appear automatically. You have to first rotate the phone and then flick up from the bottom to get the rotation option to appear. Would be nice if this transition was smoother.

May I suggest that the app be improved so that it prevents the screen from shutting off while it's running so the display will always be visible, or maybe include an option to choose.

Some improvement needed urgently. Biggest problem was the App "possessed" the phone. It was extremely difficult to get the Android buttons (Menu, back,home) once the app was running on Galaxy M31. That area was also covered by the app. Other small things are : option to disable/ adjust sound / flashing at the end of period.

It's a big timer and does all the things a big timer should do. The only thing I'd like to have is the option to choose from system sounds/melodies or even better custom sounds/melodies.

The latest version has a accuracy issue. I'm running it on 2 Android phones, iPad and iPhone. From my current test - the Timer on Android is out by abt -5 sec between the iPad clock in 10mins testing. The 2 Android phones running the same version of the Timer is out by abt 1-2sec. The Timer running on iPhone is the worse - it's out by abt 4 secs within 5 mins vs the iPad iOS clock....what's is going on?

Exactly what I was looking for. The timer could stop after the limit though, counting backwards might be confusing for some. :)

Exactly what i wanted to time myself during workouts!! 👍👍 Wasted my time with other apps which were so user unfriendly... So glad i found this!! Great display!! Such a simple & effective design 👏👏👏👏

Works great and very easy to read. The only issue I founded is that I can't see the android home buttons from the main menu in the app

I have the same app running on 3 phones and after 10 mins, all 3 of the apps are running different times...I've been using the app up to Dec 2019 without issues but now tge clocks seems to have an issue

Useful and simple app. Please could you change the behaviour of the reset button: it should reset to the user's last timing and not 00:00. Many thanks.

Great app! Does exactly what it says. Or, it did. Now, it's just a black screen. Please fix, I use this in my classroom frequently.

I want to love it but all I see on my device is 3 buttons - settings, timer, and stopwarch. It doesn't run. I have Android 4.1.2

It is THE fullscreen timer-application. Period. I have been using SBT since its early dev phase, and I was astonished from the start.

its good and very simple. No extra information is asked. Good for timing during events.

I wish there was more settings. And there is only Red, lime, cyan, yellow, white. And the brightness. And why isn't there an Alarm Clock? Or a World Clock?

Its straight cut simple and efficient. Best timer in my opinion

Great app needs the ability to disable the alarm at the end.
