Probably it could be a good app if it would be able to do anything other then to request the access to phone calls, email and storage and show the empty screen. Unfortunately, now it's just nothing.
Does not function at all. Left with flashing notes of permissions denied that are not removed even after app is deleted.
Not impressed with basic version. I tried to check out charts and premium version, not able to do so.
Great app! has served me navigating very securely and very precisely between rocks and stones for a few years now! I would recommend it to anyone sailing around!
Best and most professional nav app ever. Fantastic customer support. Integrated AIS and real-time weather is just brilliant features.
Maybe it is a good app, but I was not able to use it at all. At least without paying I could not try anything and I am not willing to pay before I see at least something I will get for my money.
Can't run the app right. It's blank and cannot access any functions
Cannot start app, crashes directly when started on my Samsung S21
Couldn't even get past the first page with redundant logins and Accepts and Deny options.
Can't even log in!! Try to register with a new acct, and keeps telling me an acct all ready exists.
Weather routing works well. Would be good to change ais icon shade and colour, size etc
Unable to try without creating an account with either email or facebook.
Has ATIS, that is all unless you pay for charts. Save your money and purchase a real chart. You'll be safe that way.
Love to have this on my Lenovo Tablet, too. Will it be compatible soon.
Upon installation hangs on downloading charts
I have used Seapilot during two summers for small craft sailing and currently it's my favorite boating app. PROS: high quality vector charts, NMEA and Internet AIS, GPX import/export, GRIB files. CONS: no other Finnish lakes than Lake Saimaa, no AIS vessel nationality visible, no Russian charts, uneven pricing of the charts, charts disappear when their subscription expires.
Opening up the app and it doesn't do anything
You can't try it free first. It directly guides you to the maps to buy - why would anyone pay without trying first?
European maps only
True auto routing with gribs and depth data. But would be good if had depth looking forward alarm as in opencpn and maxsea.
This app is missing so many features of others that are free I can't begin to explain. Too many shortfalls. Don't waste your money.
Login needed
I would have given four stars if it would have a bettwr contrast on the map. Five stars if the charts would cover a bit larger areas here in the Nordic. Gets too expensive to buy maps for three countries every year.
This app worked fine during 2013, then you bought the charts once. However some asshat at the marketing department thought that it would be a good idea to force people to subscribe to them instead, for the same price. Now it's cheaper to buy a plotter than this. To add insult to injury the development department got drunk and released a update that constantly crashes and loses the GPS signal even if it's set to use GPS in background. Using open CPN instead, that's better.
Not a free version
I was actually stupid enough to pay to get the full version of the east coast charts, what a mistake... GPS has completely stopped working in the app even though it still works perfect in every other app and the fact that I have to log into the internet to jump between my windows tablet and my android phone is absolutely unacceptable.
Guys, try this very good apps in your device and your money will not be wasted, I bought sweden and finland charts, unfortunately Denmark chart was very expensive, awaiting for promo soon ha ha ha.
On Samsung Tab S6, USA. Sea Pilot had no functions. Could not load or purchase charts, clicking any content options (charts, gribs, polars) resulted in a blank screen. It just did not work. Trial should at least contain a world base map so you can get a feel. Navigation on a blank screen, not helpful. Still unclear why it needs to manage phone calls, especially on a Tablet (this is not a phone)
