Sec Notes- Free Secure Notepad

I got the application mainly for the simple spreadsheet but am disappointed that it only has 100 lines for information and of those 100 lines you can only use 88 because of the tablets keyboard. And I run a buy and sell business and I want to keep all record's together for tax purposes. And another thing you had to buy the app. and now I can only rent it. Not a good idea.

This has turned out to be a nightmare. Installed app on my new LG Stylo6. Entered data. Went back to it the next day. NO DATA! Reentered data in case I missed a "save" button. No "save" button so I reentered test data. It was on there last night. It was gone this morning. Nothing in my Dropbox. Deleted the app and reinstalled from Google Play. Same thing happened--data disappeared. Settings are the same as on my old phone, so I'm about done with this app unless there is something else I can do. I will say the app on my old phone (moto supra something) was a beautiful experience. This one is not.

Often, when trying to copy more than one word of text, after dragging the selection tab over the desired words to copy or cut, the highlight disappears as soon as you let go of the tab. Also, sometimes the app will ask you if you want to save, other times it will not. If you forget to actively save your notes, you're screwed. It's pissed me off a number of times, when I'll go back to view a list and find it empty. Other than those two (what I consider to be) major flaws, the app is not bad.

One of the best note app in play store. Data encryption, Text Formatting, image/video attachment, spreadsheet, checklist, create folders.. i don't think that even a single note app have all these features together. Online or Offline encrypted backup. App UI is simple, clean and eye catching... no ads. I don't know the pro version features. But free version is also great. Thank you Developers.. I appreciate your hard work.. Keep it up..!

I was enjoying a lot to use sec notes until it stopped showing me a particular note I've taken. I can search for it. I can see the suggested result of my search as a miniature, but when it comes to opening it, it won't open, it would only request me to enter the code for the main app and immediately after inserting it, it kicks me back to the main screen. I'm very unhappy as this is happening with one of the most important notes I save there. *just updated SecNotes and i still cannot access it

Please fix the bug or glitch. This only occurs when I turn on my keyboard predictive text. When a text is highlighted automatically( i also wanted to do something with this too, its a bit annoying) and then i continue on typing the text - it automatically copies and paste the highlighted again and again when i type any single character/key, its so annoying. If it gets fixed then its pretty much a great app for me.

Hit save compulsively. Apparently you need to fully exit out of the app (not just, like, save your doc). Went back after restarting my phone, having saved and written a ton, and it reverted back to a save several days old. Absolutely infuriating; I lost a lot of work. Def not recommended for anyone with the novel desire to actually update anything they're writing.

A good secure app for storing personal information. However, over recent months a problem has arisen with the line spacings when using 'Text' mode. Thw wrap around text feature goes to double spacing instead of single spacing which is very frustrating. I'm very surprised at this stage that the developer has not fixed this problem.

It is a very professional app with many redeeming features. The spreadsheet section however is not one of those. I tried 3 different but typical excel formulas and consistently got ERROR. The dev says in the description that had fixed this. Apparently not. Also, when I purchased ad free, the app said, "Start Billing" and then presented a price. The description says $4 to $6.28 but I was charged the higher price. I am not worried about the cost but why the discrepancy.

Simply the best, maybe a problem or 2 but I haven't encountered any yet. Just get this app there's nothing more refined than Sec Notes to keep your personal and most private notes or docs safe. With a few back up options to Google Cloud, internal SD-Card and Dropbox. I really needed an app like this that could sync with my other android devices saves me the trouble to write the same things over again. I bought the premium.

A lot of my notes were erased yesterday after an update. My backup was overridden and only shows the missing content as well. What happened? I need that info! Updated to version 10.6 and still info is missing. There was a previous reply to my rating that suggested a different solution but it's gone now?

Excellent app. But the premium upgrade option takes the user straight to the credit card registration page without any mention of the amount that will be charged for the upgrade. Shall be thankful if the charge is clearly communicated here (in INR). Regards.

Great app for secure notes. Would love a dark theme, black background option. Also not sure how to force sync with DropBox (great feature!). I have notes on phone but nothing showing in DropBox. I'm sure I'm missing something. Great app!

I love this whole app. The thing that would make this app absolutely perfect is if you could lock individual notes and folders. Oh, I supposed be able to just tap within a note to bring the curser back instead of taking the pen icon would be nice too, but still an amazing app reguardless

It seems good. Where are notes actually stored, only in the backup database, or somewhere else in my phone too? How safe is it for using as a password manager? Does developer have any access to notes? Thanks. It is a great app, very user friendly, good search algorithm too.

This app has one major flaw. If you don't save a note before you switch apps, when you come back you may have lost all the changes you made. An autosave feature would save a lot of heartache.

There are many many note apps out there. I would dump this one in a second if I knew of one that came with a tutoral. I cant read your minds! How am i supposed to use this app with no instructions? And it asks me if I want to save my changes, sounds like I could loose my work if I overlook the save box so I am uninstalling now.

Oct 2020: I would love to give this app 5 stars but I have been trying to get in touch with customer support for almost a month now and since there's only an email address provided I dont know what else to do. 11-18-20 update: I have sent more emails and still no word back from customer service. I will be discontinuing my subscription. Im beyond dissatisfied at this point.

Hello, still not able to backup to my devices, I have also posted in the support forum, and have email the Dev, but no response. So I'm posting here as a last resort, for proper support. When I back up, says Could not write file. Well no response from Dev, so I guess I'll uninstall, my guess is on the free version, I bet it only allows one backup, then if you edit and backup again you get the error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times and it never asked for permission to write.

Good but please add widget for a note so that a particular note can be added to home screen. I decreased the stars coz from past few days I'm not getting notifications for the notes for which I've set a reminder. Please fix this issue.

I access my spreadsheets everyday. Today when I opened them, most of the data on the spreadsheets were gone. I tried to restore from dropbox but the spreadsheets still had missing data. How do I get them back? I am very disappointed since I really like this app. Help.

Does many things well, but cloud backup simply fails. I was once able to get it to upload, but after testing by uninstalling and reinstalling, it absolutely would not retrieve the data.

Tried the fix you suggested and was able to retrieve my passwords going back to V9. However, when it auto-updated to V10.2 - the same problem!! I think you need a little more time testing new releases

I have used this app for years now. I am able to perform a backup and transfer to my new or additional devices with ease. A great feature in the authentication to keep data safe.

SEC notes looks ok. so i bought the paid version. now i realized the pics arent synced. the pictures i took in 1gadget is missing in my 2nd gadget. i tried to share the notes, only the text appeared, pictures were not included. oh.uh.

I have been using this app for a year. I just got a new phone and had to transfer data from google. Sec performed flawlessly, no lost notes or data. Great app!!
